All you can eat sushi looked great but am not a raw fish or eel fan so settled for shrimp egg foo young which came with pork fried rice and egg roll. The food was very tasty. I had difficulty understanding the waitress but she was awesome at trying to convey what she was saying. I couldn't understand how the all you eat worked. It's not a buffet walk up to. I loved it here. The food tastes great and you really get what you pay for. Everything is quick and we didn't wait long for our food at all. All of the food is plated to perfection. The place is nice, cozy and quiet with fancy lighting around the restaurant. All of the staff were really nice and very helpful. Definitely recommend going here if you're hungry lol. read more

These new paper food containers are 10/10. Good job Tonys. I've been eating here for two years now and only now did I feel compelled to leave a review after seeing the new food containers being change from plastic to paper. Not only are they a cool statement/advertising piece but much more eco friendly compared to the old plastic. Anyway, on to the food... Sushi is always on point and reasonably priced. My husband and I went there tonight to try the "All you can eat Sushi". We have gone to this restaurant for many years but only for takeout. We have always loved the Thai and Chinese. But have never tried the sushi. We had seen comments on Facebook and wanted to try it for ourselves as we really love sushi. We absolutely loved the eat in restaurant from the moment we walked in. The owner and staff were so friendly and helpful with explaining the menu and how it works. The food was so delicious and we couldn't believe the quality of the sushi and everything we chose. It will definitely be our new "go to" restaurant in Shirley. Finally, we don't have to leave our hometown to have quality sushi. Thank you for choosing Shirley to make your dream come true. This place is wonderful!! The dine-in side has been closed since Covid and recently re-opened-- now offering all-you-can-eat-sushi in their gorgeously renovated space!! The food is always fresh and tast, and the service is over the top! I have been coming to this place for over 30 years, it was great under the previous ownership and is even more wonderful under the current ownership. This used to be our go to spot for Chinese. Last week our order was horrible. The beef in the beef and broccoli was slimy mushy and inedible. The roast pork lo mein had a weird burnt taste to it and the wonton soup was too salty went in the garbage as well. What a waste of $$$. Makes me afraid to go back for their sushi. Food is delicious (if made correctly) but the service is horrible. A lot of time they have their kids running the place. They get orders wrong frequently. I brought my food back a few times & consistently get a nasty attitude. The prices are also not accurate from the menu for over 2yrs now so just make sure to pay attention to the charges read more

I'm only giving this one star is because it is edible. To start off I've been a regular at Mikcado sushi and I wanted to try its competitor in the Moriches area. Today I did and was not expecting better but I expected and lot more from tony sushi the price was almost double as Mikcado, half the size of portions, and down right tasted like everything was either frozen or picked up off the floor. I have been going here for many years, we ordered from here tonight and I have to say I am very disappointed! The food was cold, the fried rice was brown (never saw this before!) and I always order the sweet and sour shrimp combo, tonight I received mostly brown fried rice!! 4 shrimp!! I have always received, at the very least, 6-8 shrimp! I will not me returning to here in the future! Came in for lunch with a friend on a Tuesday. We started off our lunch with two appetizers. We got the edamame and the pan fried chicken dumplings. It was my first time trying edamame and was surprised on how amazing it was. The dumplings were perfectly friend and moist in the middle. I got the 3 roll lunch special with the Alaskan roll (salmon, avocado, and cucumber), the spicy crunchy yellowtail, and the Hawaiian roll (cooked shrimp, raw salmon, and caviar). It was a little more pricey than what I would normally pay ($13) for 3 rolls, soup, and salad. The soup was very good. The salad was good but the dressing was very clumpy and not much like a dressing for that reason even though it tasted good. The Alaskan roll is a favorite of mine regardless of where I go for my sushi so I wanted to see how theirs stacked up. It was delicious. Vegetables were fresh. The spicy crunchy yellowtail roll was A-mazing. I've had salmon and tuna spicy rolls many times but never a spicy yellowtail. It was so good and was actually crunchy! The dynamic texture mixed with the perfect touch of spice made that roll amazing. The Hawaiian roll was a combination of cooked and raw which intruged me as I never tried it before. It was so good and brought a new mix of flavors I haven't had in my prior experiences. Very good! Overall, very good place. Great atmosphere and helpful staff. They also offer Chinese food, habachi and Thai as well. I would like to return to try one of their Thai selections. read more

Ordered chicken chow fun rice noodle dish and there was literally one stringy piece of chicken in the entire dish that was so oily and greasy and had a spoiled aftertaste as if it was cooked in rancid oil. The wonton soup wonton dumplings were extremely thick and doughy and filled with a speck of meat inside The sweet and sour chicken were fried dough balls with just a tiny amount of chicken filled inside Awful awful awful! A friend recommended this place but because of the location I was very doubtful. We finally gave it a try and it was worth it! We mostly go for the sushi during their 1/2 off sushi hours and now that we've tried just about all the sushi rolls I think its safe to say I recommend 100%! The miso soup is also amazing and the deserts are delicious. The service is always great and fast, everything is clean, and the prices are great. If you want a fancy 5 star restaurant for a special occasion then find one, if you want a casual and delicious lunch or dinner any day of the week well this is the place! read more

I went there last year for Easter, the food was excellent and service superb.

About 3 years ago was my last time there. I will NEVER go back. I hate telling this story but I was just reminded of it. My friend and I fell in love with this place. Started going at least once a week. It was close by, cheap enough and never packed. So there we were eating our salads and then moving on to those baked chip and duck sauce things they give you before your sushi comes out. For some reason after I dunked the chip in the sauce I turned it over.... and there was a cochroach baked into the chip! And not a little one either. This was easily over an inch in length. We showed the waiter and the manager came out to apologize, we left and never returned. I know a lot of businesses have them but they should NEVER wind up in food. I hope they've changed since then but I'm too scarred from the experience to try again. read more

Where to start!? From 3-5 is sushi happy hour. Sushi is half price. We figured that was a great deal. Maybe not. When we arrived around 4pm there was no one there. It was a Monday and early, so okay. We were seated and brought out an appetizer. Sauce with wontons. They were cold. Not tasty. We ordered a few rolls. Not tasty either. They were warm. No flavor. My wife ordered steamed dumplings. They were dense. ALOT of dough. Like alot!!! They stuffing was okay. I guess you get what you pay for. The setup of the restaurant is odd. You enter a door to the carry out area and from there you go through another door to the dine in area. Now I know this a fire hazard because there are 2 doors in the dine in area that you can enter or exit through but they were both locked. Went there today informed waitress about peanut allergy asked if item we were ordering had peanut as we had never had this before. we were assured that there would be no peanuts. When dish came to the table we asked again about peanuts.Again we were told no peanuts She tried mine and started breaking out. I discover that my dish was full of peanuts. When we informed the waitress she went in back and came out and asked if we wanted something else. Manager never came out to see if my wife was alright. Had to get wife home to take some medicine. We've been ordering from Tony's on and off for about a year now. We have spent a LOT of money there. The sushi is always hit or miss depending on who is making it that day. Some days it's excellent and others, I wonder why I ever go back. Soy paper has been missing, fish missing, sauces missing, bland sauces, etc. some days the fish tastes like yesterday's leftovers. We've picked up $70 worth of Sushi and not been given chop sticks or soy. We've ordered Thai and not gotten rice with it. Somehow, I found myself out in Shirley, NY, running a wedding errand: my 27th bridal hair trial. A bridal hair guru is out in Shirley, believe it or not, so there I was- and hungry for lunch. Near the train station is this little place in a strip mall. Not expecting much, I ordered a couple of rolls and some soup. All was very good, delivered quickly and pleasantly. I have gotten Thai take out from here twice. Pad Thai and Pineapple fried rice. While the portions are overtly large the quality of the Thai food isn't that great. It basically tastes like Chinese cuisine masquerading as Thai. Pad Thai was dry. Pineapple fried rice was like Chinese veggie fried rice with chicken and pineapple added. Sesame chicken was good. Nice touch that they give you little tea bags with your meal though. Maybe it's better to dine in. Also- Thai entrees are over priced for dinner. It's not even $12 in manhattan Thai spots. My wife and I have been on vacation visiting family here in mastic. The family and I used to come to this place a along time ago and the Chinese food was excellent. I see that there are new owners. And business seems to be doing well. However the quality of the Chinese food needs to be looked at. If you are going to be compassionate in one you must be compassionate in all. I am giving a one star rating only for the Chinese food. Though I have not tried any of their sushi as well as their Thai cooking. I will not be returning for there Chinese cooking.
