Ok, so I recently moved in the area & all I can say is, never again!!!!. Stir fried rice overpriced & overcooked ( burnt taste) wow threw it away. The chicken under cooked & ribs were like rubber.. We all know that real delicious Chinese Food is hard to find. We finally found Chung Wah! My son friends had him try it one night & he was amazed on how good it was. We've ordered it twice already & it's delicious. It's nice to order Chinese food & when you pick it up it's Exactly what you've ordered, especially when your traveling a long distance to pick it up on a large order. Some of the photo's below. The Chicken and Broccoli was delicious & as so was the Baby Shrimp with Lobster Sauce & Fried Rice. (I had asked for the baby shrimps). Then we had steamed dumplings, wonton soup & spareribs they were smaller in size than usually but perfectly cooked & just enough. The spare ribs are much better that other restaurants because they are thinner ribs but definitely not fatty or dry & seasoning is awesome. I would definitely recommend this place! I just found a New Most Favorite Chinese Take place!! I ordered the chicken chow mein dinner combo and no exaggeration! The Best chicken chow mein I've ever had! Even tye egg roll and the fried rice that came with it were both outstanding!!! I can't wait to try a few of my other favorites to see if this was just a fluke but I think not. Oh! This little Chinese takeout joint puts out food with big flavor. The reason it's always busy and there's a 30-40 minute wait for pick up is because it's that good. Try the spare ribs because that's what good ribs should taste like. The scallion pancakes are terrific and so are the dumplings, however, the dipping sauce is terrible and tastes like straight up soy sauce. I highly recommend this place for takeout. read more

Someone in my doctors office recommended this place. Said she drives from west Islip to come here. Got a bunch of lunch specials to try everything out. The chicken and broccoli was very flavorful and the ribs were delicious as well. However, the rest of the food was lacking. Shrimp with lobster sauce only had about 4 shrimp. The eggplant was supposed to have some spice in it and it didn't really have any flavor at all. Ordinarily I am a huge fan of lo mean noodles with sesame sauce. I opened the container and it was literally just undressed lo mein noodles with a huge blob of peanut butter and a few sesame seeds tossed on. Not even mixed together or garnished. It was awful. Only tasted of peanut butter- I will end up throwing out. Ordinarily sesame noodles is my favorite dish. Sorry to say the chicken lo mein was disappointing as well. Zero flavor. This place might be great for other dishes but everything I ordered which are my usuals fell way too short for me to return here. read more

This place was local and unfortunately I tried the Sparerib combination which two out of four Spareribs were normal size the other two ribs were less than half of the normal size, they also tasted old like they were reheated. I will not be returning to this Chinese takeout. read more

Could care less attitude. Everything loaded with salt, dye, MSG and artificially flavored everything. Red dye ribs. Chicken ( processed cardboard) noodle soup with brown, slimmy globs floating in it. Ripped me off on change. Dirty kitchen. No wonder Americans have health issues. We are being slowly poisoned by way of unhealthy ingredients and food establishments like this, that don't know or more over, don't care. The menu should be categorized by disease selections. There are no less than a dozen Chinese takeout places within a half mile radius of Chung Wah Kitchen. In my humble opinion, this place could be among the best of them. I pass this place twice a day on the way to work, and wondered if it was any good. One night last year I took the plunge and found out . . . My favorite Chinese take out is the General Tso's combination platter, with a side order of fried wontons. I use these as the benchmark when rating any Chinese food restaurant. Tale of the tape: General Tso's Chicken - small to medium sized chunks of chicken - the sauce has a slight hint of citrus flavor, with a very slight tang of heat to it that is oddly absent at most Chinese take outs - Not too much sauce, inasmuch as the chicken is not drowning in it Fried Rice - small and not nearly enough chunks of roast pork - bland, but tastes better when mixed with the General Tso's chicken sauce Eggroll (not reviewed - sorry, I forgot! Will update at a later time. . .) Fried Wontons - smaller portion than usual (10 vs the usual 12) - very crisp - very good to excellent taste I was pleasantly surprised that a place so close to home, that I pass every day, actually had decent food! My favorite Chinese food place in Deer Park. Fried rice is what makes or breaks a Chinese food place for me. I don't think any of the dozen Chinese places I've tried in DP have amazing rice but these guys are the best. I've never had a combination plate I didn't like either. I tried this place twice based on my friends reviews. The first time was low end OK, this time it was barely acceptable. We ordered the following: Steamed vegetables with roast pork and brown rice. Glad I checked prior to leaving they gave me fried rice. There were three really fatty pieces of pork a few vegetables and a ton of cut up onions. Sweet and Sour chicken, each battered dip piece of chicken was nothing more than a greasy ball of batter with very little if any chicken in the center. As this was a combination dish, it included over cooked fried rice with its share of oil, and an egg roll I threw away. Chicken and Broccoli , another mess, a quart of mostly oil soaked broccoli with again a very small amount of chicken floating in oil. We also ordered scallion panicked and steamed dumplings. The scallion pancakes were nothing more than flavorless oil soaked discs. The steamed dumplings were low end OK. If you know the Deer Park area you know there is a Chinese take-out on every corner. Sure as anything, try another place unless you enjoy flavorless oil soaked food. By the way, this awful food cost 46.00 bucks read more

Tried pork lo mein, gen tos, cheesy wontons and I have tried it a couple times since my other Chinese place started using lower quality ingredients. I visited this restaurant on a whim, needless to say I will not be returning. The young boy who took my order was dismissive and grabbed and then threw my change at me. When I reacted in shock he responded with "my bad". I ordered pork fried rice, chicken wings, and boneless spare ribs which were oily disasters.
