Extra seasoning at the end where they add it on for you

Ok folks - You seen them on Instagram, you seen the TikTok videos but now Korean Rice Dogs are taking Toronto by storm - Is the hype worth it? Let me save you some time and say yes it is! In North America, we would think of these as a corn dog......but my friend let me tell you this is totally not the same. This place is located up in Aurora right beside play it again sports. There is parking right across the street and the location itself is pretty plain jane - Nothing fancy or Instagram worthy decor wise. But hey, it all comes back down to the food. The batter on these dogs are a lot lighter, airer and fluffier compared to a regular "corn dog" which is mostly really dense deep fried batter. They also incorporate a variety of different toppings into the batter itself including potato chunks, instant noodles and I believe I also saw squid ink. The interior of this dog also comes in a variety of combinations which largely can be broken down into two main categories - A meat or a cheese or both! The meat comes in the form of a sausage which isnt anything too spectacular. I think if this place wants to level up they need to bring in a chorizo sausage or something but its early days and the future is bright. The cheese though....wow the cheese pull is f'real! You better not be having an active conversation because your going to look embarassingly awkward trying to finish off your cheese bite mid sentence. If you get cheese, I hope you can just sit in silence and enjoy the ride. Overall I definitely would recommend coming to try this place out. I did have to wait a long time as there was a lot of folks ahead of me (one lady seemed to somehow carry out 3 large boxes?!) So be prepared to wait, but it will be worth it!

Amazing corn dogs! Very hot and the cheese pull is CRAZYY. We had a very friendly and patient employee helping us. There is pretty decent seating space but the shop is a little small, definitely recommend!

My review is based on the mozzarella hot dog only. It is regular/plain cornbread exterior with half mozzarella (top half) and half hot dog (bottom half). I wish there was mozzarella and hot dog in every bite like they have at a different establishment in DT. Overall, it was very yummy, crispy on the outside, super juicy sausage, not too oily... really delicious especially since you get to dress it with the toppings and seasonings of your preference. Due to covid, the staff put the toppings for you. I asked for less sauce but they still went heavy with it.

Regular hotdog with tasty creative coating Volcano with loads of sauces tasted the best for me. Others with potato good too - tasted like eating hash browns and hotdog. Not a hotdog fan though good to try it out for the curious Yelpers. Why is the long lineup for? Try it and find out.

The $2.99+tax rice dogs on their grand opening day (July 27) was a steal and the perfect opportunity for me to try out Chungchun! Chicken Topping (topped with honey mustard+sweet mayo sauce and honey butter seasoning): Couldn't taste too much chicken but it was very crunchy. I feel it might be similar to the potato one but don't take my word for it. Also very filling for me. Squid-Ink Cheese (topped with teriyaki sauce): Half filled with cheese and half sausage. Cheese was ooey-gooey and you could do a cheese pull but mom said the sausage is a bit salty. Though the batter is black, it didn't taste special. I definitely recommend getting sauces and seasonings to take it up a notch (for more flavour and so it's not as dry), don't be afraid to mix and match!

Good price for a big snack/ small meal :) I got the potato hotdog and I loved how small the potato bits were! They added a nice texture to the hotdog and added a "fries" taste without overpowering/ diluting (? LOL) the hotdog taste! I also like how they have sauce combo examples! The customer service was great, very friendly employees :)

So much more than a pogo. Omg so good. Will definitely be back. Good for lunch, hang over cure, guilty pleasure. Whatever you need, this has it. Tons of cool flavour options. Cashier was very helpful and told us best flavour combos for our dogs. Can see why this chain is blowing up. 10/10 would recommend.

We got the gamjatang jeongol and it was massive for two people. There were raw pork belly slices on top of the gamjatang so I had to make sure they were fully cooked before consuming. It was hard because there was a lot of soup so it made it extra difficult to push the raw items to the bottom. We ordered less spicy but it was still really spicy! It was flavourful and they gave lots of pork bone. We took the rest home and I had to add water to dilute it lol.

For a group of three, we went with budaejjigae (army stew), which is good for two to four people. The server seemed surprised that we weren't ordering more. If the menu lists that it can feed four people, it seemed like plenty for us, and we aren't big eaters. We received four side dishes -- cucumbers, radishes, nappa cabbage kimchi, and one we weren't familiar with. We asked the server what it was, and he said the name, but we still didn't know what it was. I asked him to repeat it, and he appeared quite annoyed that he had to say it more than once. The army stew wasn't cooking once the server had set it down on the table. It looked like the butane gas canister was empty. We used the call button to call the server back, since he was nowhere to be found. The army stew had luncheon meat, sausage, beans, zucchini, kappa cabbage, tofu, rice cakes, instant ramen, and a slice of American cheese. It was delicious.  Overall, the food is good, but the service is quite lacking. We felt like we were bothering the server by inquiring about the side dish, asking for extra chopsticks, and requiring another gas canister.

Got galbi, sweet and spicy, onion, and supreme. Supreme was my fav. Rose rice cake was really good and chewy, not too spicy. However I found the chicken to have too much batter. Compared to chicken plus aurora, their chicken is a lot juicer and bigger with less batter and also cheaper so don't think I'll be coming back ..

Their delicious KamJaTang Jeongol, aka Korean Pork Bone Soup, and their BBQ Pork Chops, are perfect for warming you up. Dining with my aunt and uncle, we had the large version of the soup, served in a big pot on a burner at the table. It was loaded with lots of meat, potatoes, vegetables, and tons of flavour. As good as it was, it was more than we could finish so they topped up the soup and we took home the leftovers. The pork chops were served on a sizzling platter, nice and hot. It was delicious! We barely managed to finish this one. Both dishes were perfect for the cold weather, and included rice and traditional side dishes - kimchi, bean sprouts, pickled radishes, and pickled cucumbers. As usual, the service was excellent - friendly and efficient. They also offer a 10% discount for paying cash. Check them out at Kingston Rd and Liverpool, in Pickering.

We were seated in a booth so it was roomy and comfortable. They had kpop playing on the TV which was nice and entertaining to watch. We ordered the spicy ricecakes and kimchi pancake as our appetizers, which were delicious! It was my first time trying the kimchi pancake, and it was so crispy and fresh. The refillable side dishes were tasty as well, particularly the kimchi radish and potatoes. There were many options on the menu to choose from but I finally settled for spicy bulgogi which comes with a bowl of rice.
