I recently sold my house and had the unfortunate pleasure of dealing with Kristal. They pumped and inspected my septic which was found to have roots growing through the headerlines, distribution box, and in the holding tank. Of course we wanted to fix the problem because we needed to sell this house before our move. I called and spoke to Kristal. When I asked if she could email me a quote, she quickly said "NOPE!" while laughing at me because a fence was built over the lines. I completely understood and already had plans to take the fence down the next day. She immediately got an attitude with me and gave me a verbal quote of $3,000 and told me how difficult it would be to get a permit to fix this problem. I called around to a few other places, all greeted me politely and were much more helpful than Church View, providing suggestions on where to start. (By the way, a permit was not needed afterall)
I was also charged for a water test that I didn't order. When I called Church View, I was told again that Kristal is the only one that can handle it. She reluctantly agreed to take the charge off of my invoice but never sent me the corrected invoice like I asked. My husband took a check to the office for the amount of the invoice without the water test and because Kristal wasn't there, we were left waiting for her call yet again to rectify the problem. I then got an email from her with a balance of $135 for the water test. My husband called, asked to speak to Kristal, and she wasn't available yet again. Instead of calling him back, she sent me another email for $50 with an $85 "discount". He called AGAIN and again, Kristal wasn't available. She finally called him back to which he explained that she and I had talked the week before and said that I agreed that I asked for the water test. I did not ask for a water test because it had already been done by our termite inspector a week before the inspection ever took place.
After several phone calls, I finally got a call back from Kristal, once again with an attitude from the start of the conversation, and she sent me a quote for $3,500 for only the distribution box and headerlines, not the holding tank, and that was "IF they could get their equipment into our yard" and "AT LEAST $3,500". I ended up going with another company that did their own inspection and solved all of our problems without having to go through the permit process, less money, more professionalism, more honesty, and much more respect for their customers. read more
