The guys at Miller's were great with us, as people who were frazzled about having a slab leak in a house we'd recently bought. Stephen was kind and friendly, making sure I understood everything they were finding and what they planned do it, all while making sure I didn't feel talked down to. They came by to let us know what the issue was, then, after we had the flooring ripped up after a leak detection company marked off where it was, they came with the jackhammer and tore up our cement. Unfortunately, the leak wasn't where detection had marked it. I'm grateful Stephen was find enough to come in on what was supposed to be his day off the next day to continue after we took up the rest of the wood overnight. They did a great job at locating the leak, fixing it, explaining what might have happened to cause it, filling the hole back up and covering it with cement. I don't recommend Miller's, particularly their finance option. I think we might have been overcharged, and I have called and emailed the office numerous times. I even emailed my documentation, yet no one has responded to either my calls or my emails. Miller's Services (not to be confused with Miller's in Callao) is a professional company providing multiple services in the NN of VA. Had a septic issue that they diagnosed, fixed and made me have peace of mind that the job was done to the highest standards Had various crews here for parts of four days and everyone was pleasant, professional and extremely competent. Having problems like this are always stressful, especially when the cause is not known. The crew kept me informed and explained all I needed to know. Miller's should be commended for have a first class operation in addition to providing many jobs and training in our area. They do HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing and Septic. Have the equipment to handle the job. They will be doing electrical work next. YEAH we now have a competent generator service in the area! I do not remember everyone's name since there were four different crews out but everyone of them should be proud of themselves. This was a big job and feel it was fairy priced. They installed our system in 2018 and maintained it the entire time. Kept paying each year to have it inspected. As they stated it was required by the state. We questioned them in reference to this along with providing them proof their requests are wrong. So now we call to have our septic serviced and have been told there are not going to service us anymore at this time. And just found this out after serval unreturned calls. Maybe for the best as we were questioning their ethics and pricing already. read more

Griffin Air is the Best! They respond quickly to calls, are very customer focused and do excellent work. I used them to replace my HVAC a few years back using American Standard. It is so efficient and has saved me hundreds of dollars in reduced electricity and propane gas usage (dual system). They recently came out to rerun my refrigerant lines as I needed them moved in order to do an addition. They did a beautiful job as you can hardly see the lines now where as before they were exposed. They will leave your yard in horrible conditions after septic work. And will refuse to come fix it until you complain enough on social media because they care about their image in the community more than being honest to their customers. Also paid for a new HVAC as my system was old. Would only cool 10 degrees below outside temp. New unit would only cool 9-10 degrees and they refuse to come up with a solution or compensate me. Now i've spent $7k on a new unit that functions the exact same as the 19 year old one. Also they are famous for leaving your crawlspace Update, turns out they failed to clean my drain line when my unit was replaced, it clogged and overflowed, and flooded my hallway carpet and subfloor. Now I'm battling with their insurance company...But at least this time they admitted fault which they usually won't. This has been a nightmare and I wouldn't wish this on anyone. I have had a much better experience with Larry's Plumbing and they do not overcharge either. read more

They ruined my HVAC unit by draining the freon out by error. I noticed this when I went to turn on my unit a few day later when we had an unseasonable 80 degree day. I called another company since Miller made more of a mess of my situation. Come to find out they don't make the freon anymore and what is left is extremely expensive. I was left to having to purchase an entire new unit costing me $8,000! Miller's solution to my huge problem that they have caused is not to charge me a fee to canceling my Total Care membership with them after the huge costly issue they created. Purchased a home a few months ago, home inspector said the rust in the drain pan of the furnace and A/C looked old but otherwise everything checked out. Fast forward, needed a company to conduct semiannual HVAC tuneup. Saw good reviews for Griffin Air on Yelp and had them come out. When the team took off the cover of the furnace, it was like a horror movie. The furnace was over 20 years old and the bottom of the unit was completely rusted out and condensation was leaking over the wiring and the duct work was slowly starting to separate from the unit. The AC unit was mismatched with the furnace which I was told is not efficient and not proper. Griffin Air promptly sent out senior technicians the same day to take measurements and triage the unit. A few days later Josh the owner provided me quotes for various new dual systems. I have a home warranty. While Griffin Air said they don't traditionally work for home warranty companies, Kenny the lead technician spoke with my warranty company's technical assessment's department. Rust isn't a covered item, so this was going to be an out-of-pocket expense. I sought out a few other companies to provide estimates. Took a while for the other estimates to come back. Griffin's prices are fair and reasonable. After waiting over a month for other companies to provide estimates, I finally called Josh back to say let's move forward. However, I waited so long on the other companies to get back to me, the estimate Josh provided expired. Even though Josh said his costs had gone up he honored the original estimate he provided. Working around other maintenance technicians at the same time, I had a very tight window for Griffin Air to install the new units and they met my request. Everyone at Griffin was extremely professional and very tidy, laying down drop clothes and covering their shoes each time they came indoors. Phenomenal job all around. I now have their HVAC service plan in place for this year and would refer them to anyone. read more

They install the Daikin line of HVAC units (Daikin is the largest manufactures of these units in the world) and it comes with a 12 (twelve) year warranty. They just installed one of these units at my house and the people who did this service (Eddie and Glen) did an amazing job and, if you are fortunate enough to have them install your new HVAC unit, you will understand what I am talking about. They did the service with the traditional strategy of doing it right the first time. I have worked with many professionals during my life in New York and Brazil and this team sets the bar for how it is to be done. I am not in the habit of publicly criticizing local businesses, but this is an exception. The one star is for the nice plumbers who came to my home. The lack of four more is for the business owners. In short, they charged me $299 to clean my shower drain (it took 15 minutes) plus another $49 service fee. They were here for about 2 hours checking out some other issues, id'd a part that was needed and said that they would get their parts person to locate it and get back to me. Several weeks and 2 unreturned calls later, nothing. I'll never call them again. read more

Unfortunately after years of loyal service they have disappointed us. We have always used them. Prior to the appointment I spoke to the technician and asked him to call if there were ant issues. This was a typical inspection for the sale our a house. They never called and the inspection came back stating that they could not find the drain field. They never called to check in which is disappointing since I could have pointed them to the drain field. When I called for an explanation the person made excuses for the technician and said they spent 30 minutes over their typical time. If you used the same company to install new parts and maintain your system you would think they could find the drain field or at least call. I don't mind mistakes, but a simple apology would have sufficed. Very disappointing. read more

just had the best experience with Miller's Septic Services. My sink was blocked and the previous plumber could not unblock it. Told me that I would have to pull out my kitchen and dining room because pipe was cracked. The master plumber at that same company fortunately told me I should call another company. I spoke with Allison at Miller's on the phone who was very calming and reassuring. Cord the plumber came on time the next day and was very professional. He had the pipe unplugged in less than five minutes and did a few tweaks to the pipe under the sink to make the water run better. I am so thankful for this company and the people that work for them. We purchased a farm near Urbanna that has been greatly neglected for about 12 years. The heating unit went out in the middle of the night and when I called Griffin Air the next morning Josh was eager to help. The unit required a part that was not necessarily easy to get but due to Josh's resource relationship he was able to get the part that day. He didnt know if he would be able to get back to install the part that day and offer to loan me, free of charge, a space heater until the part could be installed. He came later that day and installed the part and the system is working great. His technical knowledge of the systems and system safety were greatly appreciated. I was concerned that the home I purchased (which had 2 additions) was not designed or sized correctly. Josh was quick and eager to help. He came out and performed a complete analysis (including measuring square footage of each room) to ensure that the duct work in every room was appropriate. He checked the tonnage of the actual system and measured it against the total square footage to give me peace of mind. He even went into the crawlspace to ensure the proper diameter ducting was running into the 2 additions, and the main supply lines for upstairs and downstairs. He even let me know a couple of options I could implement that would improve the system overall, but said they weren't necessary. Talk about thorough. Wow! This company saved our sanity! We recently moved to Williamsburg. After a nightmare experience with two plumbing companies over a four day period - one of which claims to be the best of Hampton Roads - we were still left with no hot water and a malfunctioning hot water heater.
