This has to be the nastiest and rudest customer service experience I've ever experienced. And the food is very mid. I only visit because it's close to my job. The so called "general manager" who said her name was Joanna refuse to serve me and slammed the window in my face because I asked why is she always so rude and asked for the "real" general managers info because I know with her lack of respect and professionalism she couldn't be anyone's general manager. The first offense was when I asked the price of the corn she tells me to look at the board. Obviously she doesn't want business for her store. Maybe just the door dash orders. This is not the first time she has been rude to me. Could it be she doesn't like the color of my skin? We stopped here to pick up dinner 10/7/24 @ 4:07pm ordered two # 2's. One with fried okra, one with coleslaw & and 5 pack of jalapeño peppers. The okra looks as if it had been fried more then once and sat out for two days. The biscuits are so hard from being heated in a microwave they can be used as weapons. The chicken thighs were actually dry ( I've NEVER had a dry chicken thigh) the amount of oil on the darken refried skin wouldn't even stay on the chicken. The 5 pack of jalapeños were like mash potatoes I don't know how long you have to keep jalapeños for them to become mush ( I'm thinking WAY to long) For this place to have NO line in the drive through & NO one inside you have to do better then this. First time at Church chicken in years. The chicken sandwich wars drew me inside or actually to the drive through. This version was pretty good as the bun is brushed with honey butter and the sandwich is simple with mayo and pickles. The chicken was crunchy without being greasy and each bite was pretty good. I had great service from Derrick today! I don't frequent Church's so I needed a few moments to look over the menu, Derrick was patient and throughout our interaction he was very respectful and called ma ma'am. Like many fast food places, just after I paid he set my drink on the counter, but I wanted to wash my hands so I told him I was going to the restroom. He actually moved the drink and straw back and away from general public's cough zone until I returned. He handed me my food with a smile and even included an extra sauce for me! I just moved down here to Avondale from North Phoenix and this is by far the worst location I have ever encountered. The boy last time was high and missed multiple items in the bag. I just left this location to grab some quick food for my kids and the girl in the drive-through had attitude for no reason very short and snide conversation as if I was bothering her for making her take my order. I know times are hard and it's hard to get good people to work for you, but hire a crew who actually cares about their guests not just their paychecks coming every two weeks. read more

I normally love this store because the manager is friendly. However, today, My experience with Roberto and Leena is unimaginable. Other than forgetting 1 item in my order and had to drive back to get them, I discovered that they actually forgot 2 items. Upon informing them about it, Roberto argued with me that he only knows of one time missing not two. As if I would lie to get more biscuits when I still have some at home, not opened. Chicken was good...service wrecked the customer experience. No biscuits were provided, didn't realize it at the store because the bag was taped closed. The half gallon of sweet tea had a broken seal and had leaked down the side. The feeling is willful errors were committed. First time I ordered from here, lesson learned. Always open the packaging and check everything carefully before leaving the store. Awkward situation when you have to call out the errors in the order in front of everyone in the store leading to embarrassing situations with the staff. HR issue, food was good. I come here often, sometimes they have it and sometimes they dont. I have never been inside, majority of the time I go thru drive thru. It takes a while for the food to come out. Like I said sometimes they have it in stock and sometimes they dont. I love their jalapeno poppers they actually are better then other places that I go to. The chicken usually isnt greasy its juicy which I love. The set back is their fries typically taste old. The staff is super friendly and always get our order correct. Service is fine, nothing more than what I would expect from a fast food joint. I personally like their chicken strips the BEST! I read the restaurant reports from the country health inspections and this restaurant usually gets an "A " rating for a clean inspection and no problems, which makes me feel a little more at ease about the cleanliness and consistency of the food. Had a terrible experience a few days ago. Ordered from the drive through, had a woman take our order and give us our food, but the name on the receipt was Luis. Upon dropping the food off to our friend who was watching and feeding our kids with it, she immediately called us saying the food looks like it'll get us sick. I don't know if we can eat it. I wish we had pictures of the 2 year old looking fries and the pinker chicken. I called the store and asked to speak to a manager, who sounded like a young man, didn't give a name. Asked him what our options were to resolve the situation since I had the receipt but my friend had the food. I had sent her all the receipts and he asked if we wanted a refund or a new order. The kids were hungry so we opted for another order. He sounded like he was going to get it taken care of no problem. Upon getting to the store, my friend was told the chicken was not raw but was supposed to be gray and pink on the inside when it's dark meat. Maybe we have different opinions on how dark meat chicken should be cooked. He proceeded to tell my friend "I'll remake the chicken to make you feel better." Nice. That's why we wanted the chicken remade, to feel better. The second part of the comment was not needed. I think I'll stick to Popeyes not as pink chicken. I wish we took pictures of the meat closer to the bone on a thigh piece, which would show a more comparable difference.
