Walked in and received friendly loud greeting. Walk up and order your meats then your sides, last desserts, then pay. Ordered the brisket, pulled pork, Mac n cheese, potatoe salad and pudding. Wow!! Lived in Arizona 26 years and try bbq anywhere I can find it and this is easily the best bbq and bbq restaurant experience I've had yet. Excellent meats-I've tried the brisket and turkey thus far. Very friendly staff, great music, nice set up. AND, unlike most barbecue places they offer french fries as a side-but there's more. They were INCREDIBLE, and cooked well, and they weren't treated as a side that they didn't want to have to offer. They were potentially the best fries I have had anywhere. I've lived in the area for 5 years and just went here for the first time.....wow. The best BBQ!! I tried the spare ribs and jalapeño cheddar sausage. SO good! The ribs were tender and juicy and the sausage was perfectly cooked. The mac and cheese was a little underwhelming, needed some more flavor. The French fries were delicious! Love the house bbq sauce but the spicy was way too spicy for me. My husband had the Nashville hot chicken sandwich and he was sweatin'. Had a little outing on the west side. Super tender and flavorful meats! Everyone's favorite were the pulled pork, it was ridiculously juicy! The chicken and beef brisket were super good also. We were given pastrami to try and it was super nice of the owner/worker. Never tried and must say it is super delicious as well. We stopped in this weekend after a hot day in the sun. It was pretty unassuming from the outside. It smelled amazing and when I thought I wasn't that hungry at first, it totally changed my mind. They had plenty of options, but I chose their turkey and a side of coleslaw. We also ordered a pastrami sandwich, a side of pickles and one of their beers on draft. I wish I could remember the name because it was pretty good. I don't typically like regular beer, but this had a good flavor. service was great. Omg! We pulled up 5 minutes before they opened and there was already a line forming and a bunch of people waiting in their cars. Thats a good sign! Line moved very quickly, there were four of us, we shared brisket, turkey, coleslaw, potato salad, and Mac and cheese. The meats were both juicy and flavorful, great spice crust, especially on the brisket. I always judge a bbq place by the sides, and we found an absolute winner here!! I'm not a coleslaw fan, but the others reported it was good. The beans were meaty and delicious. The potato salad was simple but good, very mustardy, which to me is a plus, but that Mac and Cheese!! Absolutely to DIE FOR!! I will be dreaming about that Mac and cheese. I'm actually eating the leftovers as I write this, and I'm going to be so sad when it is gone! Accidently found this place on Saturday. It was late afternoon, neither of us had eaten and we smelled Eric's smoked meats before we saw the place. I'm picky on my BBQ, and Eric's BBQ is delicious. We shared sides, potato salad was yummy, onion rings were not good, theMac n cheese was delicious. I got the brisket sandwich and hubs got the pulled pork. Brisket was amazing Smokey flavor, moist, and they load yup that sandwich. I tried my hubby's pulled pork sandwich, the meat was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. I wasn't a huge fan of any of the bbq sauces. They were out of some meats and drinks, but they're so busy is course they are going to run out. I was torn between giving them a 5 or 4, only because the onion rings were not good, the bbq sauces were just OK and they were out of a few things by 2pm on Saturday. read more

Excellent BBQ. We had the brisket, pulled pork and prime rib. The brisket was well cooked, tender, moist, a wonderful smoke flavor. The pulled pork was my favorite and,again, was very moist and full of a deep Smokey flavor. The pitmaster clearly knows how to produce wonderful meats. The prime rib was fine but I likely will not be reordering it. In terms of sides, all were excellent....the Mac and cheese is some of the best I e ever had in a restaurant and both the cole slaw and potato salad were great excellent, traditional versions. Cool bbq spot! Came here for a friend's birthday and the place was packed! Food was top tier which made the wait worth it. The line was long when we got there but the staff is very efficient and kept the line moving! All the meat we tried everything was super tasty, juicy and well seasoned. Worth the prices you're paying, be sure to try a little bit of everything! My favorite sides were the Mac and the elote corn soo good. Coleslaw is always a must to cut all the meat you're eating. I live on the east side of town, but I will have to admit that this place is definitely one of my top spots on the west side of town for some BBQ and I have plans to order brisket from them in the future along with the pastrami!!! Yeah... since then, I had my cousin place an order (as he leaves not to far) for a family gathering we had and it resonated once again with all my visitis. Inside is simple and spaced out well. Arrived just past 5pm, about 15 minutes before the dinner crowd arrived. Nice selection of meats and sides. My favorites were the pork ribs, pastrami, and turkey. The Mac n Cheese and Cole Slaw sides were each great, too. The brisket didn't cut it though. It was crumbly instead of a bit crunchy like burnt ends get. My other complaint was the rap music being played loudly when we arrived. The songs played repeatedly used the "N" word and didn't seem remotely appropriate for a family-friendly BBQ restaurant. My two biggest peeves about any restaurant are 1) the music choice and 2) the music volume. Eric's didn't succeed (for me) with either of these categories. Once again, Eric's Family Barbecue scored BIG! We ordered 1 rack of pork ribs, 1 side of baked beans, 1 side of mac & cheese, 1 side of coleslaw, and 2 drinks. Holy Moses was everything yum delish!! Walking in and being greeted is always a good thing. Told the staff this was our first visit and they all seemed happy, again a good thing. Got our food and it did not disappoint, it was so good! Have to mention; when we first came in we asked what should we order they gave a run down of everything and mentioned their pastrami, we said we'll be back to try it because we were stuck on the brisket. The BBQ crawl for Arizonas Best BBQ continues. This weekend we had the Steele Ranch and Lil Bears on hand for a Saturday Lunch Break. We could smell the Mesquite before we even got into the parking lot. Everyone scanned the wall menu and ordered up. Brisket, Dino Ribs, Turkey, Pulled Pork, and a couple of Doc Holiday Burgers (Amazing). Sides Mac n Cheese, Street Corn (Alote), and huge orders of fries. Along with some adult beverages to wash it all down. We got a tour of the smokers and everything that was being smoked over mesquite wood. Briskets were averaging 14 hour. Prime Rib was also on the menu. Not a fan of BBQ sauce as I believe BBQ done right doesn't need sauce. But the house sauce here is legit. The sides were definitely on point. Service as quick as possible considering it was the lunch rush. The military discount is also huge plus for me and my fellow service members. The two items the struck a cord with me was the time for the burgers. 20 minutes after everyone else was served and done dining. I get it once I saw those monster burgers come out. It takes time to get em right. The only other issue was price. A bit steep for BBQ. Especially for families. BBQ shouldn't break the bank. Out of the last nine stops and reviews this was the most expensive. But I will say it was the Best of The Best so far. Mad Jacks in Cloud Croft New Mexico gets bumped from the Number One Spot and gives up the Crown. Nice Job to the Pit Masters n Staff at Eric's. read more

We were told a 'secret' by one of the servers- you get more meat when you buy it separately from ordering just a sandwich. Then they give you complimentary bread! We ordered 2 pounds of brisket, side of mac n-cheese, Cole slaw and fresh made to order french fries. Juicy and tender meat. Very cheesy, goey Mac n-cheese. Cole slaw crispy and not over sauced and hot delicious french fries!! A great meal for us and our friends. It's casual seating inside with 2 kinds of bbq sauce on each table. The spicy and regular. Spicy is very nice- not too hot but has a bit of heat at the end of the bite. The food is great but the prices are astronomical. The price of the beef ribs is crazy $40 a pound. The price of brisket is $32 a pound. The price of barbecue beans is $15 for a quart. Do not go here unless you have plenty of money. The seating is like family style and the barbecue sauce is on the table along with paper towels. The three sauces offered for the barbecue are really good they have a house sauce have a spicy sauce and they have a mustard type sauce they are all really good. We spent $135 for a pound and a half of the beef rib pound of the brisket and the quart of the beans but honestly we got four and a half meals out of that so if you divide that out for two people the price is nearly not that bad. read more

It has long tables throughout that can easily seat 10 or more. One orders food at the counter and then takes the tray of food to an empty table to eat. Companion #1 ordered Brisket and pork ribs along with Mac and Cheese for a side dish. Companion #2 ordered Pastrami and pork ribs I ordered Fatty brisket and Mac and Cheese and Elote (corn) for a side dish. Companion #1 was satisfied with the portion, but felt the meat needed more seasoning. It was bland but had a decent smoke ring. Companion #2 said the pastrami was good but the ribs were salty My fatty brisket was anything but that. It was so overdone that my fork could not penetrate some of the meat and it was inedible. I was offered a bite of rib and a bite of pastrami by companion #2. The pastrami was good, but the rib was a bit salty. All shared sides of the Mac and Cheese, and while the portion was huge, the flavor was not. Possibly changing to a sharper cheese would make a big difference. The Elote (corn) all agreed was outstanding and perhaps was the highlight of the entire meal. Dings - The only drinks that are not sugared are Pepsi zero and Tea. With more and more people being diagnosed with diabetes in out society, more restaurants are carrying sugar free drinks. Restrooms are dated with paint peeling off the door of the booth in the ladies room, an uncovered hole in the floor, and a men's room badly in need of cleaning. My husband and I have been together for 8.5 years and lived in Oregon but moved to AZ almost two years ago and we've tried a few bbq places but this place takes the cake! The tacos dorados were such a surprise because we didn't have high expectations since it's a BBQ joint but they were a huge highlight. They don't skimp out in the meat at all and the tortilla was perfectly crispy, plus the green sauce was amazing. The brisket was the definition of tendernism! And all the sides were fabulous. Came back to give this place a second try because honestly speaking I was not impressed the first time around. Ordered the brisket sandwich, turkey sandwich, jalapeño sausage, elote, fries and onion rings as sides. Let me start off with the elote. This was my fave item from the menu. I just wish it had a little bit less mayo and a lime on the side then it will be perfect. Fries were very crispy which we loved. The onion rings and Mac n cheese were good too. The jalapeño sausage, last time it was super dry and this time super greasy. Not our favorite though. Turkey sandwich was good according to our 10yo. She approved. Brisket sandwich was good but just as the previous time, it seemed to be a bit dry. People at the counter were very friendly. I'm so glad there is a legit smoked BBQ spot on the Westside of town. Pulling up to the parking lot you can smell the wood smoke in the air. Getting out of the car the vibes are set off with great musical tunes. The decor is picture perfect for a BBQ feast. The staff is warm and welcoming. Chuck took my order and chopped up the brisket perfectly. Everything is decently priced for real BBQ. My grand total for what you see was $60. Not bad. Now for the taste test. The food looks delicious and I really wanted it to be. In all honesty, it lacks flavor. It's decent but it doesn't have a delicious seasoning. I can taste the smoke but it's not complete. The brisket was a little dry on the skinny side the fatty side was way better. The baby back ribs also lacked in a delicious flavor. I had to add the house bbq sauce to enjoy it better. The spicy bbq sauce wasn't all that great either. The chili also has a great appearance but it's missing a great flavor. The beans have a great texture, I can see the meat in them but again it doesn't taste good. I was hoping the pecan pie would score a home run but it foul balled too. It's overly sweet and the filling has a certain after taste. In my opinion Lil Miss BBQ still reigns supreme because of the flavor. I don't have to add anything to their meat to enjoy it. Stopped by Eric's Barbecue and wow--this place delivers where it counts. I ordered the prime rib sandwich and it was absolutely to die for. Tender, flavorful, and the kind of sandwich that makes you slow down just to enjoy every bite. Our table grabbed three sides to share, and that turned out to be the right move. The mac and cheese? Life-changing. Gooey, rich, and deeply satisfying. The potato salad was served cold and instantly gave me 4th of July picnic vibes--in the best way. And the beans had that perfect balance of flavor that makes you want to guard your cup like it's gold. This was my parents' first visit, and I'll say the setup can be a little confusing at first, especially if you're new. We came around 4:00 when it was pleasantly quiet, which helped, but I can see how it might feel a bit overwhelming during a rush. Not a knock--just something to be aware of.
