This Church's Chicken has been here for a long long time. I used to live about 15 mins drive away and would pick up fried chicken here. So Came by recently to pick up a quick chicken burger. Their chicken here is not wow. This location is super busy around dinner time. At night it is definitely slower. They do fry everything in advance before the order. This makes sense. I mean if they fry the chicken after the customer ordered than I am sure the wait would be even longer. They are located in a very busy location. I had their fried chicken before and if I were to compare this location with the others, I prefer the other Church's Chicken locations. Again... This location is definitely a hit and miss.

Popeyes, KFC you can't touch this. There is free parking at most locations, opens 24 hours and don't forget to google some coupons beforehand. Must try: spicy fried chicken, crinkle fries

The service was very friendly and was very helpful I did ask a few questions and she was happy to help! The inside could have used a cleanup though but I noticed only two on and it was steady. I really enjoyed the jalapeño popper fairly large size w lots of little pieces of jalapeño and even the cheese had a tiny bit of kick. Fries were okay no seasoning. The chicken I found plan with the original, but like other say the hot is better with flavours! Chicken was juicy and tender. And price tag is around the same as KFC .

Another angle of the side, or is it the front.

That bright yellow building that you see driving down Hastings, that you smell oil, and grease, and just fried chicken goodness! This Church's Chicken has been in this area a long time, and has probably slapped acouple coats of that bright yellow on the side of the building so it sticks out, so even if you don't smell the aroma, it will catch the corner of your eye when your ripping by. This Church's also has a take-out window on the outside if your in a rush, and just can't bother entering the place and walking 10 more steps. Located right next to Donald's Market on Hastings near Nanaimo Street, it seems like there is always someone here, as they are busy with big orders. I have to say that the chicken here seems to be always freshly fried. Watch out, or your might burn your mouth on one of these. When you order spicy, the chicken is really spicy compared to the other locations. The one knock I have to give from trying many of the Church's in town is the gravy, as it is bland and watery compared to the other joints. But when you need a grease fix, here's where it is at, and I rate this way better than KFC.

Disgusting clumpy batter raw at that

Wow the chicken recipes changed the last two years looks like management level changes caused the recipe to become cheaper and more disgusting They batter now with a thicker leas tasty batter its actually disgusting and clumps off the chicken not enough binding we have tried this 3 times this week and i am finally disgusted enough to write this review ur better off trying churchs in toronto or atlanta if you get an opportunity to see the significant changes these guys have made to their recipe This review should be for all churchs but this is the location along with lougheed that we tried mostly

The appetizer was the corn salad, fresh diced cucumber made this a hit. The miso soup was loaded with mushrooms which was great, and the broth was delicious. LA Galbi was very well made, tender with some chew, and the charred onions made this dish special, but the Kimchi fried rice was on another level delicious, rice cooked perfectly and mixed with the kimchi made every bite a complete joy. When you see on the menu the entree comes with two bowls of rice that means it's big enough for two. Enjoy, we definitely did. Top 5 Korean cuisine.

We got the Korean fried chicken and the bossam. The fried chicken arrived piping hot in a metal tin, super satisfying crunch on the batter without feeling heavy or oily, and the meat stayed tender inside. The bossam was thinly sliced, fatty, and tender, paired with crunchy seasoned radish wraps that cut through the richness well. The loaded fries were addictive to pick at, though with all the sauce on top, the bottom layer got pretty soggy toward the end. Service was swift and straightforward. The floor was busy with late-night tables, but the staff were quick to seat us, took our order promptly, and brought out the dishes without much of a wait. It's an efficient, fast-moving team suited for a high-turnover pub setting. The vibe is modern Korean pocha, moody lighting, sleek wood and black finishes, and high energy with K-pop playing and tables clinking soju and beer glasses. It gets fairly loud and the tables are arranged pretty tightly, so it definitely isn't the place for a quiet, private conversation, but the buzz makes it fun.

The buffer beef is really good. Nothing I have ever tasted. It's vinegary, fresh, a bit salty and sweet. Not too sure how to describe it but it was good! The chicken wings are good as well. The lemon and peppery dipping sauce elevates the dish more. The meat on the chicken was on the smaller side and I wished there was more garlic flavour but overall it was good. This is such a nondescript shop. I have walked past it, parked right outside it when going to other…read moreshops and never even noticed this place. I only learnt of this place when googling for roast meat and this popped up. The store is divided into two sections. One for the cooked roast meat where the menu is at the back of wall. Written in both Chinese and English, they are quite hard to read though. Bring your glasses or better yet, take a picture and zoom in on the photo like what I did. The other part is where you can buy fresh uncooked meat. The other side is lined with refrigerated items. Besides buying the roast meat, you can also have it with rice with your choice of meat. I bought a pound (min order) of roast pork and half a Hong Kong style roast duck (pipa duck I believe). I will say communication can be quite tough as the staff seemed more comfortable speaking in Cantonese which I do not speak. So it has to be a basic ordering in English without any questions or requests. The roast pork has super crispy skin which is really good but it also has such a thick layer of fats underneath that I had to remove it. You could probably save those fatty bits and fry them later to make lardon and add to your home cooked noodles or something. I like the pipa duck. Tender and tasty meat. Tip/Life hack: I googled and found a way to reheat the leftovers so they do not dry out -- cover the meat with foil and heat in oven at 400c for 20-30 mins. For the roast pork, I only covered the meat part and let the skin peeked out so the skin got even crispier.
