Angel sent is all I can say about Enterprise! I had a stroke. Went blind for a day. My vision is back, but is constantly changing. My insurance only covers 1 script a year, regardless of vision change, medical or not. There is an Angel on staff there! I will not go into detail on how special she is to me. Heart of gold that one! A few years ago Dr. Martin went above and beyond when I tore my retina to get me where I needed to be for help so I have always been a fan. But when I was there last week for a check up I told him one of my eyes kept weeping so he said he'd perscribe me an eye drop that would help then he got on his computer to check the price and told me that was too much and he prescribed something else that was a lot less. Had an appointment today I was admittedly late to. Needed a full eye exam didn't expect to order contacts or glasses just needed an eye exam so I could order contacts via Marlo so I could see again. I was 8 minutes late. Young man to the right starts to check me in, older crabby woman to the left says they can't do an exam this late. You can be 5 minutes late to lunch so I don't have to suffer through my glasses falling off at work for the next week. It's not my fault your blood sugar is low cause you didn't eat breakfast. Kind of used to everyone having a 15 minute grace period. If it's that tight don't schedule a full eye exam at 1150, I've never been seen on time when I've gone in anyway. So to schedule me at that time and then get so uptight when I'm 8 minutes late is ridiculous when I probably would've been waiting in the sitting room for just as long anyway. Anyways today was not the day and I'll just be using LensCrafters from now on. 10 year relationship down the drain cause the cranky older lady that didn't eat breakfast didn't wanna wait 5 minutes for lunch. On a positive note the doctors are really great. Front desk staff just sucks. read more

I have a love/hate relationship with this place. The positives: 1. Both Drs are amazing, smart, fun, wonderful people and doctors. Most of the staff is nice. The bad: The Marlo online forum that is the only way to get contacts is problematic and staff couldn't help me add more than one patient to the already created account, basically forcing me to have 2 separate accounts! Also, there are 2 front desk staff that are some of the most unfriendly ppl I've ever come across in a professional setting. Unfriendly and snarky with a crappy attitude. I've also dealt with both of these people on the phone and it's no better there. This is the very first person you meet, the young girl dead center of the counter and the young man with a beard to her immediate right. Due to these 2 ppl alone, I will be getting a different eye doctor. I really wish they'd train these ppl on customer service, how to smile once in awhile and just general manners. When I first became a patient with Enterprise Optometry several years ago, I loved it. Dr. Gallagher is a kind, intelligent, caring and thoughtful optometrist. He's always been my "go-to" eye doctor, even seeing me in an emergency. That being said, the staff here has progressively gotten worse over the years. I've been a receptionist before, so I understand dealing with patients non-stop, in a busy office before. In no way does this permit you to be extremely rude or downright degrading to your patients; you are essentially the face of the company. This is not okay. About a year ago, I called to schedule an appointment. I was informed that the doctor was very busy, and I would be scheduled three months out. While unusual for this office, I figured it was due to the pandemic and agreed to schedule. Come the day of my appointment, I showed up and was told that my appointment had been rescheduled due to an emergency; the dr had to leave early. Well, thanks for informing me before my appointment time... I ask when I've been rescheduled for, and she tells me she put me in at their soonest appointment... another three months out. Um.. excuse me, what? The date she chose to schedule me for (without discussion) didn't work for me, so I told her I'd call later to find another time slot that worked. Frustrated, I left the office with the intent of never returning. However, last week I received a text saying it was time for my annual appointment and clicked the link to schedule now. Sweet! I could skip the insensitive and rude receptionist and still see my excellent eye doctor, NOT. I scheduled my appointment for mid-October in a time slot that was convenient for me. It was a piece of cake! There were multiple time slots open for most of the days over the next month. I chose my time and day, entered in my information without any issues, and received my confirmation within moments. Sweet! A few hours later, I received a voicemail from the receptionist telling me that this appointment time did not work with my insurance. It needed to be rescheduled for another time when the doctor has an opening. I called back and questioned why I couldn't be scheduled at this time, seeing as there were multiple openings over the next few weeks when I scheduled online. She became very snappy and told me that I shouldn't have been able to create an appointment online, and people with VSP are supposed to be prompted to call the office to schedule. Well, I put all my info in and nowhere did it prompt me to call the office to schedule, or I would have(but now I see why it would say that). Not only that, your office texted me with the link to schedule online in the first place!! I was then informed that they only had limited availability for my insurance and was booked out and couldn't get me in for (you'll never guess) another three months out! She acted like I was wrong for asking how this is okay; it honestly seems pretty discriminatory if you ask me. There were multiple slots for me to choose from as soon as two weeks out, so why should I have to wait until the end of December? I would've even paid cash to see Dr. Gallagher! I need an eye appointment seeing as it's been almost three years now. I will not be returning to this practice, and I will be taking the necessary steps to ensure this company doesn't get away with treating their patients this way anymore. read more

Their prices are fair, the office is clean and accessible. Each time I visit their office I feel valued and appreciated. Dr. Gallagher is always cheerful and laughs easily, however when I had a problem in one eye, he took it very seriously and worked hard to help me. I have been seeing Mr. Mitch for many years now, and recently during a hospitalization, my glasses were not found. The staff went above in getting me the soonest appointment possible. I needed Dr. Mitch to verify in writing the glasses the hospital had given me, stating they were mine that they were not my prescription. He did so willingly and asked the hospital to do everything possible, reimbursing me for out-of-pocket expenses. I highly recommend Enterprise Optometry Group for any services you feel you need. I came from out of county for an appointment yesterday. Despite the fact that there are multiple signs all around the lobby letting patients know how unsafe it is to be exposed to someone who is either sick with or a carrier of Covid not wearing a mask even if we ARE wearing a mask. After seeing several patients with mask down below their nose and when patient with no mask at all, I asked about it. I was told "people get so angry that they yell at us or throw things at us." So apparently the staffs discomfort with being yelled at is more important than patient safety. To make things worse the doctor himself had his mask below his nose. He asked me to remove my mask for a moment because it was fogging up the lens. This was wildly disappointing especially after I realized Shasta County is back in purple tier. I also realize that most of Shasta county doesn't believe in mask wearing. I am from a county that does and we've been opened back up for quite some time. While Shasta county has now returned to the purple tier. Just a word of warning to anyone interested in their safety. I will not be back. read more

Unlike many such businesses, at this place I actually felt there was an actual OD taking detailed personal interest in my ocular health. The exam seemed thorough and the lens Rx process was done conscientiously. Some tests were performed by a tech but it was reassuring to see the OD seriously involved. However, that might just have been luck of the draw. I made an appointment with an OD and upon arrival I learned I was seeing another OD - with same last name. The Rx had the name of a third OD and when I ordered my glasses VSP assigned a fourth OD's name. Not sure any of this has any significance but it sure seemed like a lot of guys have their fingers in the profit pie in this biz. read more

The receptionists are incredibly rude. Be sure to get a copy of your prescription before you leave the office in hand. I've called multiple times asking for a copy of mine. I've been repeatedly told they'll email it to me and have waited patiently each time for a few days before calling back. I finally insisted she do it while I was on the phone with her. She did after scowling and huffing about it. Then hanging up without any courtesy whatsoever as soon as I said it was finally in my email. I've had to call multiple times to finally get this copy, and each time they answer the phones nicely and quickly turn rude when I request my prescription. I went to look for frames today during the sale. Courtney couldn't have given me better service or been more knowledgeable. She answered all questions I was able to come up with and provided information I didn't know I needed in selecting frames, unlike other places I visited. I'm very picky about everything but she was very patient and was able to help me select frames I'm very happy with. She went above and beyond providing customer service that you would expect in a high end store, even though this office has something for everyone. It was a great experience even though I came in tired and not looking forward to it. I will always look for her when selecting new frames. My client was in a wheelchair and they made it easy to get in and out of the office. Again, Dr. Martin was the best. The prices were really reasonable which helped my client a great deal. I went to Enterprise Optometry and was seen by Mitch Martin, O.D. I had gotten something caught in my eye and I couldn't get it out. So I made a appointment at Enterprise Optometry to be seen. They gave me an eye exam, then Mr. Martin proceeded to tell me that I had a eye lash stuck in my eye. He took tweezers and began poking at my eye in an area where I didn't even have an irritation. Afterward, I saw that there were no eyelashes in the tissue he used to supposedly pull them out. He also told me that the eye exam showed that my eyes were fine, but that I needed to schedule another appointment to come back and get glasses. This "doctor" obviously exploits people for money. I honestly do not even know where to begin with this review. I suppose I will have to start with the most practical place, the welcome desk. The ladies at Enterprise Optometry Group were amazing. They were friendly, respectful, and made my daughter and I truly feel welcomed. The establishment was clean, well maintained, and had a beautiful aesthetic as well. Our Optometrist Dr. Mitch was incredible. He took the time to explain the imagery of our eyes and was even more than willing to have us be seated while he answered any of our questions that we had ( from floaters, to optic migraines). He was just the best! The whole staff was simply the best! I Also enjoyed the choice of frames that were within our insurance price range and the lady who helped us choose them was very kind as well. Overall it was a very positive experience and we are excited to call Enterprise Optometry Group our new place for routine eye care! read more

I recently visited Dr. Gallagher at Enterpise Optometry the day before Thanksgiving with an eye emergency. I was in town visiting and one of my hard gas permeable contacts somehow suctioned itself to the white part of my eye and I couldn't for the life of me remove it. I literally freaked out thinking it was going to cause damage to my eye and that I would have to go to the hospital to have it taken off since t was the holidays and everything was closed. But when I just walked in, there was no issue at all about getting me in. The doctor had a very friendly bedisde manner and was sympathetic to my embarrassing situation. The staff was very nice to me and the office was clean and absolutely beautiful. They even gave me a happy holidays discount on the sunglasses I bought for both me and my mom. If I lived here, he would definitely be my permanent eye doctor. read more
