Love love Churreria El Moro! It's always a great sweet treat to grab a churro (or two). On a recent trip we got the seasonal churro for Oct which was churro covered in black sugar flavored with orange blossom water and the churro ice cream with strawberry, vanilla and chocolate ice cream. Both were delicious but I especially loved the ice cream and mini churro combo. So so good eating the cold ice cream with the warm churros!

Very good average churros. Being Hispanic descendant and having tired so many in my lifetime this do not stand out. It is nice that they make them in front of you and you can see but other than that nothing special. The cafe is very nice and well located. Great for a morning coffee and dessert or evening better for a night cap from being out and about in the city. Service was great fast and they never kicked anyone out even though it was close to shutting it down for the night.

I had high expectations for this place but left feeling a bit underwhelmed. I ordered the churros and hot chocolate (light and sweet), and while there were some good elements, it wasn't quite what I was hoping for. Churros - Prettt oily and coated in a thick layer of sugar--so much so that I had to flick some off to make them more enjoyable. Without all the excess sugar, they tasted much better, but I still couldn't get past the lingering greasy aftertaste. The texture was nice, though, and even after dipping them into the hot chocolate, they stayed crispy, which I appreciated. Hot Chocolate - The best part of the experience. It wasn't overly sweet, which balanced the churros well, and it had a nice, smooth consistency. If I were to come back, it would probably be just for the hot chocolate. Overall, not a bad experience, but not great either. The churros weren't as enjoyable as I had hoped, and for the price, I think I'd rather try another spot next time.

Yummm such good churros especially when fresh and hot. Variety of dipping sauces including chocolate, condensed milk, and chocolate vanilla. The churro ice cream sandwiches were good in theory but churros got hard quickly

We had seen this place all over Instagram, so we decided to try it on our first night, and it did not disappoint. Service was very friendly! The place is beautiful with the tiles on the wall, and clean. The churros were perfectly crunchy, with the right amount of sweetness from the sugar and cinnamon coating. The chocolate dip was amazing. It had a rich, velvety texture. We also tried the Mexican chocolate, and it was so good! A perfect start to our trip!

Best churros in CDMX! This place is so worth the hype, there's a reason they have so many locations around the city. You gotta go with the classic chocolate dip: it's rich and balances perfectly with the sugar and warmth of the churro. The wait was definitely pretty long, so don't go if you're looking for a quick sweet treat. But otherwise, this place is definitely worth a visit. It's such a bright, fun vibe and a great way to spend time with friends with a true mexican churreria experience!

For me it was over hyped. The churro we received wasn't warm and the person at the counter was making fun of my appearance.

Kept hearing amazing things about this place so I had to try it out when in CDMX. Went here on our first night for a late dessert after dinner. I tried their packet of four churros and a strawberry milkshake. I opted to adding whipped cream and marshmallows. It was soo good! The churros were also amazing! We decided to go back before leaving. I got four churros and Mexican hot chocolate this time. I also got their cajeta to dip my churros in. I was not a huge fan of the hot chocolate, I wish it was a bit sweeter. The cajeta was amazing! It was a bit difficult to dip the churros in because it was so thick, but delicious nonetheless! The actual place is a bit small and can be crowded if busy. Both times, local musicians showed up, one doing a freestyle roast. Wish I would've tried their churro ice cream sandwich. I definitely recommend this place!

The churros are great but so are the chocolate drinks and coffee! The churros are made fresh, crunchy and not oily at all. We shared 4 churros with cinnamon sugar and every bite was delicious. We also shared an order of the consuelito, a mini ice-cream sandwich with coiled churros on each end. This got quite messy because the hot fresh churros were melting the ice cream. So this is best to enjoy as a whole bite into your mouth. This was a great afternoon dessert break and I wish we had more time for another visit. I did noticed in general in CDMX the dipping sauce lechera/condensed milk they water it down so it gets very drippy.

I fell in love with this place the moment I laid eyes on it. The churros are always freshly made, and if they're not, they remake them for you. The chocolate mexicano was delicious on its own, but I couldn't have anticipated how well it would complement the churros. Overall, it wasn't as sweet as I expected, as the chocolate had a bitterness reminiscent of dark chocolate.

For the post Navidad celebration, I ordered a 12 pack of churros and 3 Mexican hot chocolate drinks for three people. Their entire process was pure awesomeness, from the system that they have in place to cook the churros to their final preparation. It literally took them less than two minutes to prepare the churros, and complete the hot chocolate drinks. Both the churros and the hot cholesterol included tons of cinnamon. This place appeared to more of a small cafe style setup which seemed nice. I've tried churros from one of their other stores and they did not disappoint, and I'm sure that these churros will have the same greatness.

Churrería El Moro was phenomenal! If you have a sweet tooth, you'll enjoy this place. They had freshly made churros and other desserts for a very cheap price! Everything is made to order and they can also make accommodations if you don't want too much sugar. They also had many dipping options. The indoor upstairs seating area was beautiful. Everything was decorated for Día de los Muertos and there's a view of the town. The staff were also so warm and welcoming. The young man in front helped me feel better about my Spanish and greeted me with a smile. Thank you!

My new obsession in Mexico City! You can watch the churros being made and decorated from scratch. My absolute dream dessert was the consuelo- ice cream sandwiched by churros shaped as a circle. Amazing! The morritos was a perfect shareable bowl- bite sized churros that you can dip in your ice cream, coffee, hot chocolate, or enjoy by itself. If you ever miss a chance to visit, there is a location at the CDMX airport in terminal 1. Last stop to enjoy Mexican dessert !

Another thing this city has is very inexpensive spots you can eat, like pop ups or stands that serve such high quality food at very cheap prices. The third thing I found about this city is where this restaurant fits in-They have restaurants that are historic, that opened over 100 years ago-Cafe de Tacuba fits in that category, having opened in 1912. This restaurant is located in Centro Historico-just a few blocks from Zocalo. Its location is a very busy touristy part of Mexico City. When we arrived there was a 30 minute wait, but once we walked in it was obvious why as it was truly a work of art in there. The walls were adorned with amazing paintings and murals and interior designs elements that transported you back to Mexico in the 1950s and earlier. It was gorgeous. I don't want to call it a fancy place with all the stigma that sometimes represents but it was a fancy place without all the stuffiness of a fancy place. It was a very warm and welcoming place to dine at. There was a lady walking around with a platter full of conchas and churros that one could indulge in while waiting their main meal. I had to get a churro-it was so delicious. We also got chicken tortilla soup-it was so rich and tasty with the perfect blend of Mexican seasonings. I had a pretty good cafe con leche as well-you could really taste the high quality coffee beans they use in their coffees compared to what I'd been getting all trip in the streets. Now when you visit this restaurant and you could only try one dish-that dish begins and ends with Enchiladas Tacuba(355 pesos/$20.35) That's what I got and it was awesome. Its basically a chicken enchilada dish with a creamy spinach based sauce topped with cheese-flavor bomb to the fullest. 9.5/10 Item I wouldn't clarify this as an inexpensive meal compared to other places we visited in Mexico City, but I would call this place an incredible dining experience where one can just feel the importance of the building one is having this meal. Heck Diego Rivera had his wedding reception here in 1922. I for sure would recommend anyone who has the pleasure of visiting Mexico City, must add Cafe de Tacuba to their itinerary-it's such a rich experience.

During a family trip to Mexico City, one of the places I was most excited to visit was Azul Histórico. I live in New York, and I had been looking forward to enjoying authentic Mexican chile rellenos at such a renowned restaurant. The restaurant itself is absolutely beautiful. The colonial courtyard creates a magical atmosphere, and the service was excellent from the moment we arrived. I also have to mention that the drinks were delicious and beautifully prepared. Unfortunately, the chile rellenos didn't meet our expectations. My mom and I both ordered them, and we agreed that they were served quite cold and didn't taste fresh. The staff kindly offered to replace our meals, which we truly appreciated, but I decided not to. Instead, I ended up eating some of my daughter's meal since I knew she wouldn't finish it. Thankfully, the rest of my family had a wonderful dining experience. My dad, my husband, and my daughter all loved their meals and were very happy with what they ordered. We finished the evening with desserts, coffee, and hot chocolate, and everything was absolutely delicious. Overall, Azul Histórico offers a stunning setting and outstanding service. While my entrée wasn't what I had hoped for, the rest of the meal and the time spent with my family made it a memorable experience. I'd gladly return to try other dishes from the menu.
