Churro Magico opened up circa 2014. I remember getting the flyer in the mail and talking to my mom about it. We planned to go together and never did. Cue years later. This became a running joke in my inner circle. With who and when would I finally go and get churros at this place? Well, the lucky winner of this was Elian D. who came to help me move stuff. We went, decided on sharing a small pack of churros, and were surprised they only made hot chocolate in the winter. Whatever. We decided on covering the churros with chocolate and caramel. We somehow managed to get back to the house without eating them. Time to actually try them. Verdict? Meh, I have had better. They're not bad, they're just not good. They're okay. Am I the only one to live here 9 years and have not tried a churro? I have an extensive bucket list ladies and gentlemen of things to see, do, taste, blah blah blah. So today I ticked off another one for me. (hey I AM NOT CUBAN OK?) Now, as for the churro - this is my opinion - this to me represents nostalgia? am I correct?? did your childhood if you are Cuban or grew up in Miami or anywhere that has these treats associate these with growing up? for example I lived in Germany for 11 years when my kids were little and when we were at fun outdoor events they would always have donuts. They would be made from a tiny machine whereby the batter went in. The small dollop was splurted out into the fat and rotated along until cooked and golden and then plunged into sugar andcinnamon / chocolate sauce. Everyone loved them, as they were fresh, greasy, naughty, fatty and warm and a TREAT cos you were at a fair. AKA NOSTALGIA! Or candy floss at a circus or popcorn at the cinema. So I get it. I came here as it said they offer the best Churros, so I did. Did I enjoy them? yes? was I blown away? no, would I eat them again?, yes, would I go out of my way to get them? no. Service was efficient and friendly. Parking outside was a nightmare. I honestly have never set foot into this place but always get it from uber eats when I'm working from home. I like Cuban styled pizza and aren't always able to drive to go get it so when I found Churro Magico on uber eats, it was meant to be. I've had and enjoyed the following from Churro Magico: 1. The pizza 2. Garlic bread sticks 3. Midnight sandwich 4. Croquettas 5. Sugary churros Despite the place's name, my least favorite out of the 5 was the churros. They weren't bad but I definitely prefer the ones I get from street vendors. Everything else, especially the pizza, is really good. I never create an order without the pizza. Seriously, I recommend it if you're into Cuban style pizza. The midnight sandwich was delicious as well despite my having it the following day. I simply popped it into my sandwich maker to reheat and it still tasted amazing. It may be more expensive than other places around the area (little cafeterias are all around the area and sell midnight sandwiches on the cheap), but the fact that I can get it delivered via uber eats is a win for them. The garlic bread sticks and croquettes were good but not anything out of this world to warrant spending too much time talking about them. Did I mention how good the pizza is? Seriously, try Update: 2019/03/10 Went in person and just wanted to add that the staff was really nice. The place is small. There is only one table inside and a couple on the outside. It does seem like most people order take out which makes sense. I ordered a pizza and dined in. They use one of those vibrator notifiers so you can walk around the shopping center while you wait. But you can also call in to order and pick up. As mentioned in my original review, they are on uber eats as well. Not much else to say that's already been say. Food is still great. I was craving churros and decided to order them from here. I waited about 10min but its all worth it when you get these churros fresh out the fryer with the delicious toppings. This order was 8 churros, half condensed milk and half guayaba toppings. They were the perfect crunch, with the yummy squishy center, and of course just the right amount of sweetness. My order also included a personal cheese pizza and a mango shake. The mango shake was eh. Not my type of shake. Not sure what was the mistake there but I couldve done without it. Great first visit and very affordable!!!!! I went with my husband and young son. They serve fruit drinks called Batidos in flavors such as Mamey, Mango, Trigo & Malteado that are made with sweet condensed milk, fruit or artificial flavors. They also serve personal size Cuban pizzas, Cuban Spaghetti, Cuban Sandwiches, Pastries and Cuban Coffee and Tequenos (Bread with cheese inside). We were warmly greeted by staff or owner and the woman who helped us let us sample a churro because I had never had one before and I can't eat crunchy things. The other customers were also kind to us and helped to answer my questions about things that were not in English. During this visit we tried the Mango and mamey batidos, opted for the 8 pack of churros with 2 flavors and ordered a few pieces of ham croquettes. Their prices agrees with my pockets and my family will try them again very soon. Overall we had a great first time visit experience and thats very rare now a days. read more

I have yet to experience this spot in person. I've had their churros by ordering through Uber Eats only. From those experiences, I've enjoyed the churros every time. They arrive still warm and ready to eat. The toppings are never crushed onto the bag, and the swirls of chocolate and caramel are still on the churros perfectly. It arrives in a jiffy as well. They have orders of 8 or more churros. I always order the 8 and share with others because it's just way too much for one person to have. Covered in chocolate, Nutella or caramel are my preference. Ordered the churros,band the bag came out with these long narrow churro that were extra crunchy and full of sugar but did not have that soft middle like the Cuban churros I have sampled in the past. They tasted okay, but did not meet my standard of the ideal Cuban churros. We also had the Mamey and puffed wheat (trigo) shakes. The taste was good, just a bit watery. The churros were amazing, but sadly I will never buy from this place again because of a very distasteful experience I had with an employee there. She had come out with two orders she called out the first one but neither my boyfriend or I understood what she said but we assumed the order she called out was ours since she said caramel and chocolate which was what we had ordered. Assuming that was our order we grab the bag and realize it is not, we let the employee know and she gets mad stating how if that was not our order why did we grab it when she had stated it was 8 churros not 14, and I understand that it was our fault for not asking again if we did not understand her the first time I get that but she spoke to us in such a mean, rude and condescending way. She could have definitely said things in a more nicer way, maybe she was having a bad day? But that does not mean you are going to lash out at a customer.
