More dessert options, more coffee options, and a great place to sit and enjoy. I love the decor here. The soft Latin music was just the right speed to relax to and enjoy dessert and conversation. Churros & Chocolate was catered into where I work and it was a great start to the day! The churros are gigantic. They were filled with chocolate, vanilla, or strawberry filling. I had the chocolate filled churro and it was delicious. It had crisp, crunchy, and cinnamony outside with a sweet chocolate inside. The hot chocolate was amazing. One churro is $3. Service was friendly and there were only 3 other people inside @ 2pm. Trendy contemporary music was playing while I sat in a comfortable lounge chair to wait for my order. My churro a.k.a the Mexican donut was made to order hot and fresh and you know how I donuts. It seemed like it was a foot long and a inch thick. There was a warm sugar explosion after taking one bite. The churro was very reminiscent of a cinnamon sugar cake donut, but with more crunch. The filling was most prominent on the ends and wasn't the best, but honestly the churro would have been great with or without the filling. Plus there is no extra charge for the filling anyway. I have never had homemade horchata, so I don't have a benchmark to compare it to. However, it was good and cold. I would describe the taste as the left over milk from a cereal like cinnamon toast crunch. Everything was sweet and I was happy with the wanted sugar rush. I'm coming back because this is the closest I can get to fresh hot donuts in the evening or night. read more

Took our dear friends on Friday June 30th for an early afternoon dessert. We ordered two Churro Split, consisting of a strawberry filled churro and a scoop of chocolate and strawberry ice cream. I'm not sure why it's taken me so long to write a review about this place, but here we go! I first heard about C&C from their food truck that hosted an event at my school back in the fall of 2021. It was a huge hit! I knew that I wanted them at my wedding instead of having a dessert table. Let me tell you it was THE BEST DECISION we made. My guests couldn't stop raving about how great they were. Their sundaes are a hit! My husband and I are regulars and they still remember us til this day. Hot, made-to order filled churros - YASSSSSS Less than $9 for 3 ones me, my hubby and our little shared. Beyond worth it!!! We sampled three flavors offered - Strawberry, Chocolate, and Dulce de Leche. The strawberry looked artificial and was a wee bit off-putting, but actually had a good flavoring and taste. The chocolate was just as good as I imagined. The dulce de leche was very rich in caramel flavoring and wound up being my favorite. However, I would have been content with eating any of the three. I musted up all self-control I could and waited to enjoy the churros until after dinner, but they were surprisingly still warm. Next time, I would plan to get them and enjoy them as soon as I can to enjoy them in their full warm glory. Wanted a sweet treat and came across this place, tucked in a strip mall on the side overshadowed by Buttera and heavy construction on randall road. This place was very easy to access, no one can go inside as its blocked off but you can easily go up to the door to place your order. One can easily see their regular hanging menu inside or look at the glass next to the door to for a closer look. Prices were not bad, the cashier did a good job, was friendly, wore a mask and seemed like she knew what she was doing. Now let's get to the best part... these Churros were mighty fine. Made to order rolled in cinnamon sugar with your choice of filling what wasn't to like about it? The outside had a delectable crunch while the inside was a bit "dough/heavy" but not undercooked, I guess a better word for it would be dense. This little treat was definitely worth the 20 min excursion and I highly recommend giving it a try. You do have a bit of a wait once you order, but it's definetly worth it. I had the chocolate churro and it was just average really, It's by the quickly expanding Algonquin area where NOTHING but Smokey The Bear and forest fires used to be, but just like they're expanding south down to Yorkville and beyond, civilization is expanding north and beyond and looking okay.
