If I can give it 0 stars I would. Very disappointed, first waited around 15-20min, the churros were extremely dry and hard. I provided a picture below. Wasted 15 dollars because I had to throw the bag they were not enjoyable very hard to chew on. Tried to give them a chance again and got disappointed. Will not be coming back and will NOT be recommending. I do NOT recommend.

Was craving churros and wanted to find a new place to try. I've seen the truck before but hadn't tried it until today. on atlantic and Del Amo in Long beach. Right off the bat the gentleman working was really nice and helpful. We ordered a #4 with sauces on the side (came with 3) . we also got a Chocmil and was gifted a free hot chocolate for my little. ALLL SOOOO GOOD! they even had a sprinkle of green on the churros for St Patty's day. great location, great churros and awesome service. will definitly return.

Churros Don Abel is our go to when we are craving something sweet. We would first visit their first location in East LA (Commerce Center) and once they set up in Whittier (Pioneer HS) we would go here as it was much closer to us. Parking is WAY better too! The churros are always fresh; they are warm, crunchy outside with a soft inside, just delicious! Tonight, we also ordered Platanos Fritos (fried plantains) and they were tasty! They do offer free cafe de olla on the weekends, and today's batch was great. We also ordered a chocomilk (en bolsita) and it was delicious; you could smell and taste the banana that was blended into it. Their staff were friendly and they provided quick service too. Our order was out pretty quick. Will continue to come and support this business as long as they remain consistent with their churros, coffee, and customer service.

Love this churro truck. Perfect for a late night snack. The churros are crisp on the outside and soft on the inside ! Ready within minutes and ALWAYS warm. I usually get the #1: 10 churros for $13. The churros are full length which is AMPLE for 2-3 people. Sometimes we will order more when having people over the house for a fun snack/dessert. The cafe de olla is free- a nice touch on a chilly night.

Fresh made churros made on the side of the road in a truck. What is there not to love? On certain days they offer free hot café de olla, and you can pour as much as you want too! The people are nice, and the service is pretty quick for churros that's fried in front of you.

Finally found the time to try their churros and they were worth the trip. Piping hot, fresh from the fryer... and WOW! These reminded me of that one churro street vendor in Puerto Vallarta. There were no lines when I went coz they just opened so can't complain about the wait time. I would definitely return during a weekend so that I can also taste their complimentary cafe de olla. Overall, I recommend Don Abel's for your churro fix.

Best churro around! I love getting the churro with strawberry condensed milk and caramel, when I want that sweet tooth. Their regular churro with cinnamon is great too. I love it that they make it fresh. It is crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. I always crave it everytime I pass by it on the way back home from work.

Always amazing churros at this place. I can't believe I ever paid for one single churro at Disneyland. I ordered 20 for $13. Also at this location There is a cheesecake spot and I put them on the cheesecake. Tastes pretty good this way. There are so many things you can do with these churros it was cold and they had free hot coffee My eyes were bigger than my stomach. I still have a few leftover the day after.

If you love churros, then you definitely need to try them out! We came here on a Sunday night around 6pm at their Whittier spot. It's right by Pioneer high school and you can either park on the street or park inside the high school lot. When we got there, there was about 3 people ahead of us. Not too bad. By the time we got our churros their was a long line already and more people started pulling up. Once you get out of your car, the sweet smell of fried dough and cinnamon sugar hits you hard! It smells sooooo good. The only thing is that I don't know what the Whittier locations hours of operation are. We came here on a different Sunday evening and they weren't there, so it's a hit or miss. I check their Instagram to see if they'll be there but sometimes it doesn't even say. It's totally worth it though. And on the weekends they have free café de olla. It's sweet and hot and super good!!! I saw someone dipping their churros in them. I need to try that next time! read more

I was not able to purchase anything from here since they only accept cash. We stood there trying to ask if they accepted a debit card and they took long to answer us. There was a line which is probably why this truck is good. I'll try it next time I'm in the area and with CASH available. read more

Absolutely amazing. Totally lived up to the hype. Showed up and there was a line of like 15 people and I knew "this is gonna be good!". First night there (yes i said first night lol) I got the regular bag of 10. So crispy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. The sugar coating was a perfect balance. The little lady outside selling juices too Is highly recommend getting the horchata *chefs kiss! Second time I went I got the one with the cajeta-frecas and lechera and it was out of this world delicious and indulgent. 10/10 would recommend and then recommend that you recommend it to someone. So so good. So mad that so don't live in California, next visit this will probably be my first stop! read more

I can't say enough about these churros. Always fresh, always delicious. I stop by for a quick bag of churros during the week/weekend. They really impressed me when they made me 200 + churros for my daughters birthday in less than 10 minutes(during their busy time). Everyone LOVED the churros! Chuuuuuuurrrrrrooossss!!!! At first glance, the prices seem high. But you definitely get more bang for your buck. The $6 small churro bag has 6 churros with a bunch of cajeta, leche and freza jam. Go early because after 9 pm all the buzzed party people start to show up. read more

Came here the other day and I got number 4 I think it was 6 with a lot of sauce on top. It was to sweet for me. Maybe they put to much of all the cream stuff I'll try them again with nothing on it. Be back soon. Oh this place is a truck and they are on the high school parking lot. read more

Stopped by after a Behind the scenes Dodger Stadium Tour Sat Jan10. As we were turning onto Washinton Blvd you can smell Mexican Heaven and it was Divine. Grabbed some after Dinner on our trip back to the IE and was talking bout them all night. Dang them things were Heavenly like Manna falling from the sky. By far the best churros I've ever had !! Me and my boyfriend passed by here all the time and decided to stop after seeing a long line from the truck. So we stopped and bought a couple (which were at a good price) and we were amazed how crunchy in the outside and so soft in the inside. Have been waiting to try these churros for a long time. Finally Sun we made it. They were really good and fresh. Crispy outside and soft inside. I would give a 4.5 if possible. Only reason its not a 5 is because they didn't live up to my expectations, which were super high. I was hoping for OG mexican style churros, and they were very close but not exactly. We enjoyed them and the closest that I've had here in Cali. Will try them again. Next time with some lechera and cajeta. Go check them out read more

I purchased last night (2/7) when they were parked off Whittier Blvd. Food was decent and paid $38 for two bowls using one debit card, but when I woke up this morning (2/8) I had FOUR Fraud alerts showing them trying to charge a separate debit card in my name for more money, the highest being $110. How they got my other card information (linked to a credit union) through my Chase account, I have no idea but I strongly advise you do not use their services. If you must, pay cash. Luckily my account blocked 3/4 charges and one was still pending (shown in pictures). They use a square for credit card payments.

I opted this spot, which has a IG of cali tacos please, but no longer exists. This spot on yelp was referred to as sumo tacos. The workers were friendly and very helpful. The sumo fries was delicious. The asada itself was unique. It had a smokey flavor which separates itself from other spots. It appeared to be cooked on charcoal, but given it is a food truck, that would be hard to pull off. The sumo taco was something different. It's cheese melted like a tortilla which holds the asada. It was very heavy, greasy and difficult to enjoy. The chips was a plus where you can rip the taco and place it on the chip. If you want something heavy, this sumo is for you. A bit heavy to my liking, so you might want to try a regular taco or burrito. But then again, it's called sumo for a reason. Curious if this spot would experiment with gorditas, a crisp tortilla. I think their filing would knock this out of the park. I also wish they would advertise what drinks they have. Nonetheless, worth a try.

[Ambiance & Amenities]: This taco shop doesn't have the sexiest decor. There are 7 indoor tables, one ATM, and old-school toy vending machines. One unisex restroom available. [Menu]: 7 meat options for taco - carne asada, al pastor, tripas, pollo (chicken), sesos (brain), buche (stomach), cabeza (head), and chorizo (sausage). *** Carne asada taco + Al pastor taco (with everything, dine-in - $2.25): One of employees brought a plate of tacos to my table. It usually comes with sour cream too but I ordered on the side. The salsa were perfect amount of spice. The service was nice and quick and the staff were very friendly. They even have a few stools to sit on outside if you want to eat there.
