Been going here for years and it's definitely a heavy hitter one of my fav spots no doubt and don't forget the Diablo sauce

DO NOT GO HERE!!! Long story short: they are scammers! I purchased last night (2/7) when they were parked off Whittier Blvd. Food was decent and paid $38 for two bowls using one debit card, but when I woke up this morning (2/8) I had FOUR Fraud alerts showing them trying to charge a separate debit card in my name for more money, the highest being $110. How they got my other card information (linked to a credit union) through my Chase account, I have no idea but I strongly advise you do not use their services. If you must, pay cash. Luckily my account blocked 3/4 charges and one was still pending (shown in pictures). They use a square for credit card payments. read more

I am sorry nice because they are close but food has no flavor shrimp fride rice no flavor and shrimp have that fishy taste so all go in the trash read more

These guys are scammers. Charged me the nested day for hundreds of dollars the morning after I visited their establishment. These guys give food truck workers a bad name and are nothing more than thieves read more

So delicious I loved every bite perfectly cooked steak and fried rice with a Burst of flavor. I was absolutely satisfied. The price is outrageous but worth every penny the portions make up for it. My boyfriend and I spent about $70 on just one $30 plate which had half chicken/half steak and fried rice with vegetables and my steak bowl was $12 and a side of shrimp that was $6. The spicy shrimp was cooked perfectly but they weren't anything special they just put Korean Chile paste (sambal) on it and call it spicy shrimp. Overall I'd go back it was bomb and service was great. Didn't take too long read more

Habachihana Grill - a man standing in front of a food truck - Food Trucks Near Me - Whittier, California

This place is worth the wait and the price. I did go at prime time on a Saturday night, so what did I expect? The portions are bigger here than the DTLA location. I gladly waited about 45 minutes in my car for the steak and chicken with fried rice and steak and shrimp with fried rice. The vegetables are grilled and a great balance . I feel good about being so healthy. I could not decide what sauce to get, so I got them all. The garlic butter is the one I prefer and the yum yum (spicy mayo) is the number two on my list. I was told to go before six pm or after eight if I don't want to wait. The hostess, Irais, was very nice. read more

Been coming here for a while, The food never disappoints, the steak is tender and cooked to perfection and the chicken is juicy and flavorful. The portions are huge and definitely get your moneys worth. Don't miss out on all the sauces especially the Diablo sauce. Give these guys a follow and come checking them out next to Pioneer high school. read more

Texted in an order at 7:08 today for Valentines and called in at 7:15 to confirm the order. Older man answered and said my order was received and would be ready in 25min. Husband showed up to pick up the order and was told no order received and oh well. Absolutely horrible service. No Valentines dinner for us. read more

This food is awesome. I love the New York steak bowl. Staff is friendly great customer service's

Heard so much about this truck and it's food. Waited in line to see the small menu that you had to rush to order. Got the NY steak, shrimp and chicken plate. $ 46.00 dollars ( including tip)and was told to come back in 30 minutes. My name was called and I asked for sauce. I was told only 3 sauces per plate. Wtf. I just payed almost $50. Bucks and I can't get one more sauce. The guy gave me the extra garlic butter. I asked for rare. Got medium, it was the toughest steak with no seasoning. Shrimp was not fresh, very fishy tasting. Chicken was dry as the Sahara. Rice was ehhhh.... Even with the extra sauces. They didn't help with taste. If I had a dog, he wouldn't even enjoy it. Too much hype for nothing. 36.00 for the plate with 15% tip. Don't know how it added up to 46.00. My hard earned money wasted. I don't mind ever to pay extra for a good meal. read more

Came here for a b day party. The waiters were kind of aggressive and rude. Food was not good and kinda overpriced. Would not come here again

Save your time. The service was so awful, and so unprofessional. I tried ordering a sauce and got rejected by the worker and he was sarcastic and very rude. He was lying saying I couldn't order a sauce but there's no sign. The kitchen looked dirty and there was no customers. Looks by the stars it isn't a good spot. We saved our money and time and you guys should as well. read more

I have never been to this place BUT their reputation is legendary, so here I am. I ordered the filet, lobster and shrimp. At $43.75 it's worth it. They have various combos, bowls, and entrees, from chicken, steak, shrimp, scallops all with fried rice and veggies. They do accept cards so that's a perk, overall an awesome meal!! read more

food is very good and very tasty. My family and I go there almost every week and we love it. It only takes about 10-15 minutes for the food to be ready. The workers are very nice and friendly. read more

This is the food truck you come to when you want bomb hibachi. I've tried both the bowls and plates. It comes with good portions and the fried rice is to die for. I always get extra garlic butter when I come here. It's a bit pricey but you won't find anything like this near Whittier. The wait time can be a bit long too depending if it is dinner time. read more

I'm addicted. This spot is so good! I do not get the negative reviews at all. My favorite is the NY steak, chicken and shrimp trio. I get it with veggies and fried rice. The garlic butter is to die for and I love the yum yum sauce. Is it a bit pricey? Sure. But it'd be a lot more if you made it at home. You're ordering things like shrimp, steak and even lobster and complaining about price?! Hello! This isn't jack in the box. That being said, I think their food is great. They have reasonably priced options as well. I've had hibachi several times and this tastes just like that! They do give you hella rice but do you really want LESS fried rice? Your food will be packed to the brim! I waited about twenty minutes. I took a book with me to pass the time and really it isn't long at all. read more

They sold me like 2 kilos of rice 5 oz of steak and 6 shrimps for 75 bucks. All I wanted for this to taste BOMB but it disappointed tremendously and no volcano either. Don't waste time here or do. All I'm sayin is I you won't catch me slippin here anymore. Skip the wait and hit up your local China Wok joint they got raza there cooking for like 60% less than here. read more

The food is good, specifically the garlic noodles and steak with any sauce. However, the only thing that makes this a must not go to spot on the regular is the price of the food which is quite costly for what they give. I ordered a combination place of garlic noodles and rice with my choose of meats, and there is more rice than noodles. It would be more cost effective to make this food at home than to buy it. read more

I only got the Garlic noodles and chicken fried rice to try it out as I was passing by. They were amazing! The garlic sauce was very good too read more

Was gonna eat here but the guy taking orders was rude as hell. He didn't acknowledge that I was standing there waiting to place my order. He was literally talking to someone for a whole 2 minutes and then turned to me with attitude. When I was trying to place my order he kept talking over me and was not helpful whatsoever. I'm not dumb don't talk to me like I'm dumb. I didn't bother putting an order in because I'm not gonna be giving my money to people who are rude read more

This place was extremely quick to take our money but very slow to provide service. We had three people after us that received their food ahead of us! If you want to wait over 2 hours to get your food please give them your money. read more

Today was my first time here. I had seen a lot of people raving about it so my husband and I decided to try it. For starters the guy taking orders was a bit rude. I ordered a chicken teriyaki bowl. The taste to me personally was good but it wasn't amazing. The chicken was pretty dry and the rice wasn't the best. The veggies were good. If they were a bit nicer or helpful that would be nice. read more

Food is good, but service SUCKS! Last Sunday we waited 2 HOURS! Why? Because "The cooks forgot there cooking tools" not only that but they ran super late! So we waited at least an hour for them to come back. We've paid and everything. Then we started seeing customers getting there money back from the long wait. We were the only ones waiting because we felt bad! Then we had to wait 30 mins for them to cook the food which we were the first ones to order. The girl told me that they would give us 25% off next visit. TODAY! 08/30/2020 I called in the order because they take long to make the food to be told to text the number the food we wanted so we wouldn't have to wait. SO I DID! To find out that when I went to pick up the food the food was never made! SO I HAD TO WAIT 30mins! What is the point of texting!? Not only that but we told the lady in the front that "SAM" the girl last Sunday told us to let them know about what happened so we did. The girl started to argue with me. She then talked to the cooks and they said to give it to me. So rude! The only reason we come back is because the food is good! Y'all need to get your guys staff in order please. read more

Wait time longer than should have been. Ordered one plate and still took 45+ minutes. Came home to eat, food had no taste and was a waste of $34 dollars. Save your money! read more

Tried out this food truck at Anaheim Marketplace off of Anaheim Boulevard. The meat was so tender. It was delicious I would recommend

Very very very good service and delicious food...the best HABACHIHANA FOOD TRUCK. WELL WORTH THE MONEY!!! will come back soon.

The food quality was great, very little wait time, great portion sizes definitely worth the price.

Absolutely delicious! Chicken plate with fried rice and yakisoba chicken bowl (see picture) lacking the chicken portion but plenty of rice and noodles a bit more pieces under the carbs. Long wait approx 25 minutes with only 2 people in front of me. I paid $29 for two dishes, outrages! The few pieces of chicken were over cooked but the noodles and rice and veggies were super delicious. Oh and it came out super hot, I emagine that's why the long wait. read more

Habachihana Grill - two plates of food - Food Trucks Near Me - Whittier, California

My husband had been wanting to try this food truck for some time and we finally stopped by. There were only about 3 people waiting for their food, we placed our order and waited about 15-20 min. This was a Thursday or Friday night around 8:30pm. Customer service was good, the food was nice & hot. Freshly made. We didn't get any pictures because we were hungry and excited to try it. Our order was noodles with beef and shrimp and veggies. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the veggies. They need to be seasoned right after cooking because they were bland. They give you like a butter garlic container on the side along with chili and soy sauce. I may be wrong on the sauces but everything was really good! We would be returning, we shared on plate and it was about $30. read more

The food took over a hour to get, the cooks just seemed really unorganized. I would not recommend if your not willing to wait for more than a hour. Food is alright, just not worth it when you gotta wait forever. read more

Ordered the chicken fried rice bowl. Very good , very courteous staff. Will go again.

Put in my order twice and the girl in charge did not place it to the cooks!!! Unbelievable!!! I had put in my order ahead of time, still arrived and was not ready after waiting 1:45 min. I understand mistakes happen and she said she placed it again. I was ok..Waiteddd... and then again my order was never placed!! WTH!! I Will never go here again! Very inconsiderate specially when waiting another hr in the cold!!! read more

There serving amount is outstanding and so worth the price $$$. They have fast service. Only wish they sold there edamame at the truck.

Tool over 40 minutes for my noodle bowl and girlfriends shrimp bowl. Cant comment on food but NEVER AGAIN

This place is overpriced and overrated. Not worth the wait. Not only that the guy cooking the food would touch the uncooked meat/chicken with his hands and would serve the cooked food without cleaning his hands or put gloves on. If o could give it a 1/4 star I would but unfortunately I can't. read more
