It was a disappointing experience 3 or 4years ago, and I still feel angry about it. After designing and installing a water filtration system (which i should have not fully paid for immediately), they barely explained anything to us and wanted to charge us for follow-up questions. Whatever the water problem, CALL CHURYK FIRST! I have been using Churyk for all of my well and water filter needs for over six years. Every experience with them has been overwhelmingly positive. I recently made the regrettable mistake of using a different Company - - a plumbing company, which happens to be the biggest in the state of CT. (They were brought in by the water remediation specialists, Servpro, when I had a basement flood.) I've had seven visits in three months from that plumbing company and the problem is still not solved, although somehow the problem has extended to my septic system which is now feeding waste water into my basement. Have you ever smelled raw sewage? I hope not. My whole house is slowly being filled with that putrid odor. $20,000 later and without a solution, out of desperation I called my friends at Churyk. Surprise! They identified the problem and I can plainly see that other plumbing company did EVERYTHING wrong. Finally, we're on the road to a solution. I did not know that Churyk's specialties include pumps and drainage systems. (Duh -- it says so on the side of their trucks!) That was my mistake. Prior to my retirement, I was a partner in a 7,000-person company. I have always been of the mindset that big companies are more reliable, and they feature better diversification of expertise. Churyk Comapny....BAD! I called for a consultation and estimate. The other phone guy Peter was very nice. He gave me a verbal price. The guy Trey/Troy came. He was very nice. All I wanted was a written estimate. I got other written estimates from other companies and they got back to me within 24 hours. Churyk never did. I called CAROL at the office a few times and left voicemail saying, "I dont understand why you are too busy to just email me a written estimate." CAROL GOT INSULTED! BECAUSE OF MY ASKING WHY IT WAS TAKING SO LONG TO GET A PRICE? HOW THIN SKINNED AND UNPROFESSIONAL IS SHE? This is a business and people want to be given a cost expeditiously so they can move on. A week is longer than any other estimate on ANY SERVICE THAT I HAD DONE IN MY HOME! Something is not right at Churyk... What is with the water companies in the CT / Bedford area? Called Churyk for a quote. I have been collecting multiple quotes from several companies to compare and see what makes the most sense financially - it's 2023 and everything is expensive. I told them that I was collecting multiple quotes as most people do! They didn't send me a quote. I called back the following day to request the quote again and the owner of the company got on the phone and told me just to use someone else as he is not in the business of matching the prices of other companies. He also put me on speaker phone so that whomever was in the room could enjoy me being upset about the conversation and pretty much was laughing at me. How dare any company or owner of a company shame a consumer for collecting multiple quotes or behave this way. Unprofessional. Terrible. Shameful. I hope that he has tons of customers that don't need to worry about collecting quotes because this day and age, everyone needs to. read more

These guys installed a water softener in my home some years ago which they used to service reliably and for reasonable cost. Now they won't return calls....having left more than 7 messages over the course of month. they finally picked up the phone the other day(must have been an accident) and the receptionist told me that I hadn't services since late 2018 (can you say pandemic?) and that she would call me back to make an appointment. that was 2 days ago and no call back. I would never recommend these guys anymore because they won't service what they sell. read more

If I could give negative stars for this company I would. They are disrespectful, arrive late for appointments, and their so-called emergency service is a joke. They act like they're doing us a big favor by coming by to look at our well system and have made several mistakes. I could not have picked a better company than Churyk Company to update my water system. Churyk installed a new constant pressure water pump and filtration system including an ultra violet protection unit in case bacteria works its way into my water. While I did not have bacteria currently I opted for this unit in case unknowingly bacteria appears and I can rest assure that my family is protected. Churyk spoke with me about the benefits of constant pressure and the protection the unit provides for my pump and home and opting for this unit was a great choice, my showers and irrigation system have never been better. I was so impressed with the true craftsmanship of the installation and attention to every detail. Churyk reviewed the entire system and operation with me and removed every piece of the old equipment and left nothing behind for me to clean up. We have been a customer of Churyk for 5 plus years always did good Work , until this year , when they did not Plumb a line properly. I asked for a pvc straight pipe, and the installed A plastic tube 1/2 " , when I asked to have it done in pvc the " secretary " Told me that they don't do that kind Of work . I knew it was as waste of time to continue. They were very rude, and accused me of rudeness, A complete lie. We no longer use them as a result of a improper installation. Work was done competently but two years running they made errors in invoicing. When questioned they hung up the phone and said never to call them for service again. Subsequently they claim I was rude, which was not the case, I simply questioned their billing and suggested a mistake had been made. They seemed unwilling to even consider this might have happened, got very annoyed with me and hung up the phone. Nonetheless I sent payment corrected for the error they had made. In summary: they do a good job but if you use them check the invoice carefully. read more

Churyk is a very profesional and knowledgeable company. They know what they're doing. Recently had water problem with iron on water and smell throughout the house and filters were getting clogged. They install a new chlorine water treatment system and now water is clear and filters don't have to be changed often. It's been a year and 6 months since installation and we haven't had any problems. Other companies came and recommended to shock water and upgrade the brine system but the problem was ongoing. We tested the water and call other water specialty company and no results. Will defenetly recommend . They haven't fail us yet on a service calls and are very quick. A++++ read more

Stopped getting water from my well do to pump that reached end of life. Churyk pump was out same day of my call to properly diagnose and offer best course of action. I decided to renew my whole pump room with all new pump, controls and wiring. I had already bought a new tank which they installed for me with all other new equip. They measured my well and gave me a better size pump to fit the house's needs. I put my well pump in 22 yrs. ago and weathered two repairs myself in that time period, but this time I let some pros do it. They use upgraded everything in their install. I had poly pipe they use schedule 80 pipe. I used a wire set requiring two splices they ran top quality double insulated wire with only one splice. They gave me a Goulds pump when I used a Sears pump. It was done at a fair price and that was very refreshing in today's day and age especially since they know you are in a spot with no water. Owner showed up on the job to check status as well. Special thanks to Bruce the lead tech on the job who went out of his way to answer all my questions and stayed late with Nick to finish the job and get my water on. I live in South Salem. read more
