If you are looking for an authentic Mexican food experience, this isn't it. Don't get me wrong, the food is good, but from it's more of a Tex-Mex fusion type of cuisine. The creamy jalapeno dip and the baja tacos are great.The pico de gillo is a little to acidic. The service was ok. We saw our waitress about three times during our meal and that included taking our order. What hurts the experience is the wait. WOW, the wait. My family of four waited almost an hour for a table. I have always loved Chuys, but tonight was not so great. My husband and I just wanted a relaxing meal, but our server practically pushed us out the door. I really want to mention her name, but since I have been in the business for many years, I won't go that far. She got our drinks out in a timely fashion, but not 2 minutes later having just received out appetizer, our entrees were delivered by a disheveled food runner that apologized for spilling half of my charro beans on me seat, but did not make any effort to clean it up or offer me extra napkins. About two bites into our meals, which neither one of us was impressed with, our server comes by and drops the check. Didn't offer more drink or dessert. I understand the concept of turning tables quickly, but we would have spent more money if she wasn't dying for us to get out of her section. read more

Maybe the best nation wide Tex-mex chain (and that's saying something). The salsa is always fresh and my wife drinks the jalapeño cream sauce. The free happy hour nacho bar is unbeatable. For a meal, you can't go wrong with the huge portion of chicken fajitas or the southwestern enchiladas (sub in queso for the green sauce)! We are huge fans! read more

One of our favorite Mexican places! Love the fresh tortillas and the Jalepeno ranch. We tend to order the beef and chicken tortillas and they are delicious. I have tried several other items and never am disappointed. My daughter loves the tres leches cake so much that we ordered a whole one for her bday. The thing was huge and so yummy! read more

Chuy's Tyler was extremely disappointing. The food is fine but the service was the worst service I have ever received. I am very understanding and laid back while dining out but we had two waiters, one was in training and between the two of them they came to our table twice. Refill on water? Didn't happen. To go boxes? Nope. Our order was taken and the check was brought. I really hate leaving such a bad review because we have been to other Chuy's and they are great! I think Tyler just needs to work some of the "new" kinks out. read more

First time here and we really liked it. The free chips and salsa while you wait for a table is awesome. It was busy that night, so we sat at the bar and ate. Great Tex Mex. My hubby was craving for a good Tex Mex in our recent vacation to Tx. We orderd Veg Enchilada and a pepper filled with cheese. The dish was mouth watering. Loved the rice and beans. Have never tasted such good mexican food. We finished 2 bowls of chips and salsa:-). My hubby ordered fozen Margarita, it was good too. We had no space to have dessert but still ordered the Tres Leches cake. It was super moist and we boxed it to eat the next day.:-) Service was quick. We were promptly greeted and say outside on the patio. Our server Ed was new and did a great job. The atmosphere was very inviting. The green sauce with the chips was great. I had the deluxe chicken enchiladas. They were very good made with white chicken meat, Jack cheese and peppers with rice and chat to beans. The beans were too spicy for me but good. My husband and I finally had a night away from the kids to celebrate his birthday. We were seated in the cocktail area with Shauna as our server and let me tell you, she really went above and beyond to make our night out such a pleasant experience. She was incredibly friendly and patient as we asked questions about the drink and food menus. She anticipated our needs and our drinks were never empty. She was incredibly knowledgeable and you can tell she really knows what she's talking about. We absolutely will be asking to be seated in her section every time we come back. If you like spicy you'll love this place. Fresh ingredients daily, salsa is amazing, as well as the hand-rolled tortillas. Our waiter Clinton was very helpful in our ordering, as this was our first visit here. He even brought us a sample of their signature Tres Leche dessert which is the best I've ever tasted! Debbie and the catering team here at Chuy's are too fabulous. They catered our wedding this past weekend and made the whole process super painless and easy and the food was delicious! We got tons of compliments all night and everyone enjoyed the fajitas! Debbie even accommodated us as my husband and I are vegans and we have several vegetarians in our group. We loved working with Debbie and she was super friendly and always available! Oh, and do we even have to talk about how much money we saved by having Chuy's cater instead of a traditional caterer? We fed 65 people for less than $800 and had plenty left over for friends to eat the next day! read more

We live in Austin so we are lucky to have several Chuy's close by. When visiting Tyler this past weekend, we spotted Chuy's on Broadway and stopped in for dinner. The hostess was very friendly and seated us immediately. We got a great waitress, the food was the same high quality we've come accustomed to from the folks at Chuy's and it came out quickly. Food is okay, servings generous, service 5 star, but...the music! Shouldn't music be in the background!
