Off the top of my head, I can name three non-chain BBQ joints where you get excellent value for the money: Evie Mae's in Wolfforth up near Lubbock ( free self-serve beer with your meal there as well), Thorndale Meat Market in Thorndale, and the Old 300 in Blanco closer to home. They have very healthy animals and process them humanely as they are a Halal establishment.
