This was a really cool place. Unfortunately a lot of the games were broken and it was really difficult to play anything that was working because it was so crowded and every game was taken. WORST CUSTOMER SERICE I'VE EVER EXPERIENCED IN A RESTAURANT IN MY LIFE. I called ahead for a party of 14 for my college daughter's birthday. They texted back and said they should have room and that tables were first-come, first serve. We arrived, paid cover charge, and asked where to sit and were pointed to a table on the patio. We ordered food and drinks right away and were waiting for it to be delivered around 1:15 pm when the manager put a reserved sign on the table for 2 pm. He didn't say anything to us, and we honestly didn't notice what he did. At 1:58 when we were still waiting for one pizza and were also singing happy birthday, a hostess came up and rudely TOLD us to leave WHILE WE WERE SINGING. At 2 pm (still waiting for a pizza and eating birthday cupcakes) the manager came up and told us to leave and kept telling us someone else wanted the table and had paid for it. He then called us "entitled" many times, said to one adult, "what are you, 16 years old?" called us "rude" and said "congratulations, you just got kicked out of an arcade on your daughter's birthday" and he said one of the elderly people with us was "nice, unlike you rude people." He said a lot of other things that I'm too mad to remember. He sent POLICE to our table to escort us out He OFFERED to refund our admission, took our credt cards, said the refund would appear in a few days, and DID NOT ACTUALLY REFUND US! It was all a lie. The kicker is that there were other open tables on this patio. And he admitted that he had forgotten to reserve this table. All he had to do was apologize for asking us to move mid-meal and help us move, and we would have been happy to do it. But instead, he demanded we leave, called us names, insulted us, and completely lied about a refund, and sent a cop to walk us out. We paid a big cover charge to be treated like dogs and didn't even have the chance to play one game, and didn't even receive all our food before being kicked out of a table. THESE PEOPLE ARE TOTALLY SHADY. The "manager" in Dallas won't return calls, and I'm suspicious they just gave me a fake phone number. If you are the owner of Cidercade, YOUR AUSTIN EMPLOYEES ARE HIDING CUSTOMER SERVICE ISSUES FROM YOU AND TREATING YOUR CUSTOMERS BADLY. read more

Cidercade is always a fun time! I am new to the area and have gone here a few times when friends from out of town come to visit. It is a fun and chill environment, and it is only $10 for access to unlimited games. Yes, there are kids allowed but only until about 8 PM when it goes to 21+. I love the variety of games you can play, and generally how easy it is to play them. Yes there may be a lot of people, but usually you can play something. Of the times we have been, I have never seen games broken either! They also have tables for your drinks and sanitizer next to each game. There is a really nice outdoor patio area with numerous tables and fun table swings. The outdoor seating is along the river, so there is a beautiful view when sitting outside. The cider selection always changes, and I have to say they have a variety I have ever encountered. From a basic Apple cider to a blackberry cider to a pecan pie cider and everything in between. I have seen all kinds of cider varieties each time I have gone there, and it is so fun getting to try a new flavor each time! This has definitely been a great place to take friends from out of town to just hang out and do something easy! We have been here for six months, and have probably gone here about five or six times. Yes, the name is cidercade, but you do understand, as reasonable and business minded people opening an establishment that involves a lot of risk. Seriously, this place was packed tonight, and it's truly an awesome piece of property and so many games (everyone was having a great time) --that said, so many of my peers (I was here for a company outing, meaning there was about 35 people I knew) and my of them complained about the only AB option being cider and others complaining about how drinking cider was not ideal given that by nature cider has soooo much sugar and makes people's stomach hurt, headache, and makes you vomit not from being drunk but from basically eating a bunch of candy. Are you for real?? I'm honestly so confused why yall are strictly cider. Its a cute name, yes. Nobody would judge cidercade if they served beer too (I understand liquor is a different level of licensing). It seems like there's a lot of potential profit thats not considered. Place didn't seem bad on paper and the price seemed good but when we got there it was unbearably hot with no AC. The drink machine wasn't even able to dispense water to cool us down. They have a total disregard for those with disabilities. They do not care that some have access in and out of the establishment or have access to the bathrooms and maintaining their dignity. I mean who wants to go into a bathroom and have to leave the door open because their bathroom is not ADA compliant, meaning it does not accommodate a wheel chair. What a fun spot, my inner child was so happy!! You can't beat $10 for unlimited games. My friends and I had the best time playing DDR and basketball while killing time before my flight. If I lived in Austin, I could see myself going here for date nights and chill hangouts with friends. A couple of downsides: the parking situation is horrendous. We had to park a few blocks away. We went on a Sunday afternoon, so as expected, the place was overrun with kids' birthday parties. You might need to be a little firm with the kids because they'll be quick to cut in front of you. read more

A honest "Rey review": $$ The place is pretty nice. Besides the screaming kids and drunk adults, the games are fun! I wish me and my girlfriend went after 2000 where it is 21+ only. The backyard patio is nice looking and probably half the games work. I enjoyed the pinball machines and some of the Japanese rhythmic games. Ive been to Tokyo, Japan, so this definitely brought back memories. The food does not look appealing, so we decided to not eat there. The people at the front door are nice at least. I had my birthday party here yesterday, and am really disappointed by the customer service. I took an unopened bottle out of a bag , was looking at a gift, and put it back in the bag. I have no problem with having to do your job and check things out. But the way this man handled the situation was very inappropriate. He assumed it was open and basically told us to leave. Did not ask to look at the bottle, he was impolite and very aggressive. I myself am a bartender and would not ttreated my guests this way. The bottle was not opened, was not going to be opened. Visited on a Sunday afternoon and had a great experience. They are almost at 100% with COVID protocol and wish there was a temperature check at the door as an extra measure. I also went at a time it wasn't too busy, masks were enforced (thumbs up) and plenty of hand sanitizer. The games were varied and you can't beat the $10 all you can play. This place is probably fun when it's not crowded. But going on a Saturday with a family of 4, it was just not worth the price. $12 a person for unlimited play sounds like a good deal, but when it's packed that means you can't actually play any of the good games. Most of the games there are old, boring, and not titles I recognized. There were lines for the fun games- Jurassic park, the fancy driving game kids love to play, even Frogger. There were even lines for ski ball, air hockey and the basketball shooting game. But since game play is unlimited, people just park and play game after game, not giving a crap about the line behind them, so it's incredibly frustrating. My 7 year old waited for 20 minutes to play a driving game and he just ended up giving up and walking away in tears. I don't understand how you can be an adult playing a game and not feel the need to stop and let a child have a chance? This happened over and over when we were there today. Not a great place for kids on a Saturday afternoon, but I'm sure it's fun for adults. I just wish the management would encourage people to give others a turn, or limit the number of times you can play in a row or something. read more

My family and I have always had fun here, but last time we went, I had a 3 week old newborn; we played games, ate pizza, and sat at our table having a fun night out as a new family. At promptly 8pm (when it's 21+) we were told we had to leave because of our newborn. While I was nursing, we had three separate staff members, over the course of 10 min, ask us to leave. We were confused as to why they'd force us out with a newborn, but we were kind and going to leave after our newborn was done eating. Right when I was done nursing, they had a security guard escort us out. Since then, we've gone to breweries and have never been asked to leave with our newborn. We finally stopped in to check this place out and are so glad we did! The hard cider and the hard kombucha was delicious!! We played all of the old favorites like Donkey Kong, Centipede, Super Mario, Mortal Combat, etc. They had air hockey, skee ball, basketball and pin ball machines. My favorite was the dancing game which was fun to play and watch. The outdoor area has a beautiful view with plenty of room to spread out and enjoy some fresh air. You can order a pizza or salad for dine in or to go. The pizza was surprisingly delicious with a nice thin crust and lots of flavor. We had such a good time, we went two days in a row!!! read more

Cidercade is AWESOME! $10 entry gets you unlimited games all day long - no coins or gaming cards needed. They had every arcade game you could think of and the ciders were reasonably priced ($6-$9ish) and delicious. You can take some packaged ones to go for a bit cheaper than you would find them in stores for, too. Additionally, they have pizza if you're wanting food. We did not try any this time, but it looked good! Parking is not great here and gets full quickly, but we were able to find some parking in a nearby neighborhood and walk, which was fairly easy. After a certain time at night, it turns into adults only and when it did, it got packed with a line out the door. We got there around 6:30 and felt like we had enough time to check everything out and play a bunch of different games and could head out before it got too packed. The concept of paying only $10 for unlimited arcade games is so cool and we had a blast with our family! I am not a huge video gamer, but I left with a sore shoulder because I played games for 2 hours! I love the nostalgia this place emits and quite a few games reminded me of my childhood particularly Galaga, Mortal Kombat and Centipede! Cidercade is huge and yes it can get packed, so I suggest going earlier during the day and keep in mind that if you have kids they only have access to 8:00pm. The 2 hours we spent here was plenty of time to play an adequate amount of games as well as dine on some pizza. Via313 and DeSano are my favorite pizza joints and while Cidercade's pizza will not join that list, it was still pretty good and I enjoyed it. If you are like me and do not consume kombucha or ciders but prefer wine, you are out of luck which kind of stunk, but at least they do have Maine Root soda and free water which was greatly appreciated! read more

We were suppose to go kayaking but the weather was trash. Ended up stumbling upon Cidercade and we had THE BEST time. Amazing ciders and tons of games to choose from. We were super happy with our day and spent a good few hours there. All 6 of us bought a bottle we could fill with any cider we want and a 6 pack to take back home. 100% would be back next time in Austin. read more
