This place is a total hoot. Go for Chicken Shit Bingo, you will not be disappointed. It's one of a kind.

It's a cool place with mostly friendly people and 2 pleasant for the most part, bartenders the last 3 times we went in there. My boyfriend and I will go to Bike Farm next door for bike service. We've have a few beers at Little Longhorn etc, but this one time (4:30 pm on a Wednesday) we went in recently. NO ONE was in there and I set my bag on a barstool, of maaaaaany open barstools. An older man walks up and says' "I MADE THIS BAR WITH HOOKS so you can put your purse underneath. It wasn't what he said, it was how he said it with a condescending attitude and tone. I was apparently a menace or "youngin" being rude. I removed my purse from the stool and put it on the way too tiny hook for anyone's bag and then LITERALLY NO ONE sat there the next 40 minutes until we left. I'm always thoughtful, that if it's a crowded place, that I wouldn't take up a stool with my bag . Him, his comment and attitude were unnecessary. Whether he "built" the bar or not. The Little Longhorn Saloon is famous for its Chicken Shit Bingo that occurs on Sunday nights. We actually visited twice a few weeks ago. Once during the week when friends brought us to some authentic Austin dive bars and then again on Sunday for bingo; which was really fun. The beer is basic domestic and imports. Drinks are more less standard cocktails and shots of "something." There was a band playing both nights we went and both were great. And, I was a winner at Bingo on Sunday when we went. Great place, but rudest bartender ever. Wine is in small bottles in fridge behind bar. I pointed to one bec music was loud. Bartender opened it, but I realized it was not what I wanted. I told her I made a mistake and she was immediately mad. I told I I would pay for it since it was my mistake and also pay for what I wanted, which I did. She didn't care and continued to be angry for no reason and glare at us the rest of the evening. The music was great, but she put a damper on the entire experience. read more

My wife and I went to check this place out for its famous Chicken Shit Bingo. We were amazed at how many people showed up and filled up the parking lot. It was crowded so it was a bit tough to even see the Chicken Shit Bingo to be honest. But we enjoyed the energy of the crowd and the atmosphere. When we went inside the saloon, we enjoyed the live music and dancing. The drinks were reasonable priced. It was a good time and something different to do on a Sunday. read more

Well for this city boy, I have to admit I was AMAZED from the second I walked in the door. Live music by local band Smith & Reeves playing authentic country music oldies and original . Texas 2- step dancers filled the entire place! And what a show these wonderful folks put on. I don't know how, but my friend was grabbed immediately and was twirling around all night. Great drinks at a cheap price, but most of the dancers were dancing not drinking. I was welcomed immediately. If you're in the area, this place is a must!!! read more

Had such a fun time here for chicken shit bingo! I got a few beers over the 4 hours we spent here. I loved that they only had 6 taps(that I saw) but they had a sour available which was unexpected but I was so happy was the case. The bartenders were fantastic. They were super fast and great at handling the insane volume of customers they had. We had a blast getting to sit outside in the beautiful weather. There is a band inside and a bar inside too. The place is definitely a little small for the amount of people there but it works. The bar is relatively small and they often have live music inside the bar. The line for the bar gets in the way of the restrooms with is not ideal and the staff goes in and out of the same location to manage the chicken poop bingo. read more

I missed CSB, but Tues. night is definitely the night to go because of the line dancing lessons. I also love the backstory regarding the lot and the owner of said lot. This is the place for people watching! Came here for the eclipse and just had to play chicken sh!t bingo. This is a local original and boyfriend just had to take me here. The bingo cage is now outside so more room for everyone to gather. The crowd is mixed so everyone can have a great time. Everyone seems well behaved so far but the hours are 3-8 for the CSB. We played once but were to lazy to buy another ticket. The lines are long and we were pretty lazy after two beers. Glad we got here early to nab a patio chair. But to be honest if there was something better to do, I'd be doing it. Not much competition if I'm getting excited watching a chicken sh!t. This is such an awesome and unique experience for any first time visitors! Every Sunday they have Chicken Bingo and I highly recommend it! There is a bar and the chicken cage is outside so bring chairs or be ready to be prepared in the weather. They do this every Sunday it seems like and the buy ins are not incredibly expensive. We spent $40 and I won! Really awesome time! The service was hit or miss because you have to find who is selling the tickets for bingo. They Just got the ability to sell hard alcohol I believe and they sell beer in the bucket but be warned if you buy a bucket of beers you need two people! We were unaware of this rule and my friend had to get his wife to buy the bucket. If it takes the chicken a long time to go to the bathroom they bring in a second chicken lol. Have a great time, we sure did! Also parking was nearly impossible to find so we had to park across at the restaurant, eat then catch the 5:00 round. read more

My partner and I brought my sister out for a night of chicken shit bingo, seeing as how it seemed like a very Texas thing to do. The bar was fine but had a limited selection of drinks as one might expect from a tiny location. The one-room saloon filled quickly as bingo started, and we "lucked out" with seats at the bar. I add quotes as people behind us, stuck standing in the cramped walkway, jostled us constantly as they shuffled between the bar, the dancefloor, and the chicken cage outside. We stayed for a couple of rounds, but honestly? Chicken shit bingo is pretty boring. You buy your tickets and pass the time by drinking, then waiting again for the owner to keep yelling at everyone to move out of the way or buy tickets. The crowd was a mix of older patrons and college kids. The music was good, even though I'm not a huge country fan. This seems like an Austin classic that may be more fun with more people to drink with, but good luck fitting everyone into this closet-sized bar. read more

Chicken sh*t bingo is one of my favorite things to do in Austin! It's a great place to hang loose, drink a beer with some buddies, and watch a chicken sh*t! Price is reasonable with tickets ranging from $2 and $5 per a ticket. Everyone there is just there chilling and having a good time. It's a really nice environment and it gets exciting once the game starts. Everyone huddles around the pen watching anxiously as the chicken moves around. Tuesdays and Wednesdays 7-8pm they have two stepping dance lessons. Come out here and have a good time. It's a smaller dance space than you may be used to, but the staff and guests that frequent this spot are so kind. The little longhorn saloon has a very quaint rustic/western feel to it. I recommend stopping at one of the restaurants nearby and then ending the night with some good ole country dancing. If you aren't much of a dancer, the drinks are fairly priced and there are plenty of spots to sit and just enjoy the live music. I hope you enjoy. read more

I went there many years ago. And never had so much fun.! The band was incredible.. I was there with a girlfriend for a week. We are both from LA. Judy, my friend said "I want to dance with a REAL COWBOY". And lo and behold, right then a handsome guy, definitely a cowboy came out of the blue and asked her to dance. Hubba hubba.! Then we heard a lot of laughing and yelling over at the bar, we pushed our way through the crowd. We wanted to see what' what was going on. There was a large wire crate on the bar with grid squares numbered one through 64. The folks were playing " Chickenshit" When the chicken shat on a number, the person with that number won the pot. We laughed and laughed till we cried. Certainly one of the more fun days I have ever had!!! It was Called at the time, "Jinny's Little Longhouse Saloon on Chicken Shit Sunday." I highly recommend it for anybody visiting Austin. It's a bit out of town, and hard to find if you're not a local, ....easy to get lost but well worth the effort. Every Sunday from 4-8, this small bar hosts their famous bingo game where participants bid money on a number on a plot, waiting for a chicken to do its business. If you're lucky enough to be chosen, you can win a large amount of money, the sum depending on whether you pick a black or gold ticket. One round takes around an hour or two for setup, but the actual moment lasts around 5 minutes. Everyone is great spirited and hyped, and you'll be wanting to play over and over again. It's a great vibe all around, and besides watching the chickens, you can go inside the bar to grab a drink, dance along to some live music, or hang outside by the tents to drink beer and chat with friends.
