Would be 5 stars if they served food. Games are fun and there aren't lines for them. Great variety of ciders and the pricing isn't bad. $10 for the day makes for a great date. I was kind of surprised by the large amount of kids / birthday parties there but I guess it makes sense. If you're not a kid person though then don't go, there's so many of them that they're kind of in your face.

Another amazing experience at Cidercade this week. For the last few years, we have held our office holiday party here and the staff has been awesome with their service. The process to secure the space and pay is very simple. See their website for those details. Renting the entire back party room was perfect for our 2 hour event with about 40 people and allowing us to bring in our own catered food worked like a charm. The recent remodel on the inside looks awesome with more table seating in the back room and better organization of the games! Everyone had a wonderful time and we will be back again next holiday season. Make sure to stop by and give them a try. Enjoy!

What a fun place for all ages!!! Had visited with a group of friends during the weekend. It was packed but still so fun. Got more packed as the night went on, and there were lines for the popular games, but everyone there was respectful of others' waiting. CIder was amazing. many options to choose from. I liked the blackberry flavored one since it was sweet. love how they have old games like pinball machines, but also new games that i had not heard about before. would highly recommend coming with a large group for a fun night out. i also saw a lot of kids and children before the evening, so a great place to bring your family too

I went out of my way to come here and it was worth every dollar spent! Olivia was so amazing and I would 100% recommend coming here!

We had a blast!!! The staff were attentive, helpful, & friendly! We had a few delicious drinks while there & enjoyed them on patio. We loved the swings at the picnic tables. The Christmas decorations were fun, festive, & bright! We got there at opening & had a party with 3 adults & 3 children (ages 9 to 12). There was something for all of us to do! We will definitely return. Next time we are planning a date night without the kids!

Brought my kids here. Had a lovely time playing games together and solo. Ciders are delicious and expensive. They do not serve food. Just ciders and drinks. Kids get kicked out after 8pm.

Came here with a group of 10 and it was well worth the $12! We spent about 3 hours here and had plenty to do between the 2 rooms with arcade games, group arcade fames, and physical games. I'm not a cider person but our group liked the wide variety of in house ciders. Definitely a good way to spend an afternoon/evening in Dallas!

We went to Cidercade on a Friday night for a friend's birthday. It is so much fun! We will be back soon and want to try their other locations as well. If you just want to buy cider to take home, there are packs of chilled cider in their refrigerated case up front. Lots of flavors you won't find at the liquor store! If you have a growler with a lid, you can pay them to fill it for you with whatever they have on tap to take home. Yum. When you come to play games, there is a casual, energetic vibe. Servers are really friendly. You pay your entry fee for unlimited play when you enter and then all the games are free. If it is crowded, you might have to wait in line but lots of choices. Children are allowed until a certain cutoff time, so if you want an adults-only experience you will need to visit in the evening. This would be a fun date night idea. The night we went there was a food truck right outside. Lots of tables inside to sit and drink, eat and visit. Most of the cider is gluten-free, but some of the cider contains gluten, dairy or other allergens. When we first came in, we asked and they had a very helpful, laminated sheet with all of the ciders and their allergens. Super helpful to keep us healthy! You can buy cider to drink while you play by the cup or by the flight (you pick one type of cider at a time using a punch card so as to not slow you down while you game). They will also let you have small samples of cider to try before you commit to an entire drink. Ask about their popular off menu cider combinations!

$10 all you can play day pass or $15 all you can play monthly pass (useable at other locations). This is one of the best deals in Texas. Once you're in the door and pay for your wristband, you'll find a gamer's paradise. Fan of the classics? They have Centipede, Tron, and Dig Dug are there for you. Fighting games? Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter II. Shooters? Jurassic Park, House of the Dead II, Police Trainer, Big Game Hunter. Carnival Games? Down the Clown, Mini-Basketball, Skee Ball. New versions of classics? TMNT, 4 player pac man. Rhythm games? Guitar Hero, Maimai Finale. Pinball? There's a whole wall dedicated to them. There were a handful of games that weren't working, but most were in great shape. I didn't opt to drink anything, but there are plenty of ciders on tap - after all, it's in the name. I stayed for a few hours in the afternoon and it started to pick up a little, but I never had any problems being able to play the games I wanted to. If you have a few hours or a day to kill, I would highly recommend this spot.

Can a 19 year old stay after 8 pm with 21 year olds, we want to go but one of us isn't 21 yet, but they are still an adult (19) he wouldn't be buying alcohol?

Unfortunately I don't believe so. They're pretty strict (but very nice) about 21+ after 8pm.

Do you have alcoholic beverages like vodkas?

For alcoholic beverages, we only serve what we make, so for us that means a variety of delicious hard ciders and beer!

Do you private party's in the music area? trying to find a place for 18 years birthday party. they want to dance to country and rock n roll. They could also plays games if they want.

They do private parties, but this place is super small once it gets filled with tons of people. Btw, you don't get a private room either, you are in the open.

Can you get in at 18?

    Yes, before 8pm (after 8pm it's 21+ only).

    Does Cidercade hire DJ's?

Hey there! No, they do not.

Do you have to buy tickets ahead of time?

No, you can pay for entry by cash or card at the door (at the counter upon entry).

    Can kids come?

Hi Kimberly, Absolutely. We are kid-friendly until 8 pm every night, at which point we become a… Read more

Can you bring 9 year old in?

You can up until 8 pm. After that it becomes adults only

    Is this place pet friendly?

    No sadly

Any chance to catch a hockey game here? Specifically the Bruins. Looking to visit this weekend, but would love to watch the game Saturday.

Not really a sports bar. They have a few games on but I wouldn't count on it if you're looking for a specific game.

Is it smokey inside? My wife has asthma and cant handle the smoke to well.

No, not at all. Smoking is not allowed inside.

Do I need to bring an ID to get in? I mean if they scan ID at their door?

Yes, they do ask for ID in order to get in. Even if you are not drinking and only wanna play arcade.

    Does this place have hookah?

No, but there is a patio if you want to bring your own.

How much is the entry for a child?

Per the FAQ on their website, all ages are welcome during the day, but they are 18+ after 8pm. 5 and up pay the $10 admission.

Is there a food truck outside?

Yes, we've gone about three times and each time there's been a food truck.

Cam a 13yr old get in?

    Before 9 pm

Does this place serve anything other than ciders?

They serve some snacks, but as far as drinks go it's just their delicious cider!

I've seen the business owner's reply to comments like these however it is not clear as you are paying to play and is very misleading. Imagine paying $5 per game and it doesn't even work properly! Additionally, I somehow payed twice ($14 total) for some photo booth pictures that don't even have any special branding of the bar. He's been racing regularly since early November at another Andretti location and has already been officially verified as meeting the height requirement for the junior track. We came to this location excited, with family in town, expecting the same consistency. Instead, he was denied access based on a manager's visual guess from behind the counter. No one measured him. No policy was clearly explained. No customer records were checked. And the manager refused to even come out to engage directly. If height requirements are about safety (which we fully respect), then they should be enforced objectively and consistently. Guessing from a distance is not safety--it's laziness and poor leadership. What made this worse was the complete lack of empathy. Watching a child who loves racing go from excited to confused and disappointed--without explanation or care--was heartbreaking and entirely avoidable. The Andretti name stands for precision and professionalism. What we experienced here was the opposite: disengaged management, inconsistent policy enforcement, and a total breakdown in customer experience. We didn't ask for special treatment. We expected competence, consistency, and basic respect--especially when dealing with kids. This experience ruined our visit and seriously damaged our trust in this location. Until Andretti addresses these leadership and operational issues, we won't be returning--and we'll think twice before recommending it to other families.

The race cars are really the main attraction here and the entire place revolves around the racing. You cannot make a reservation. It's a first come, first serve situation. There are four racing categories (see below), so if you come with a group of mixed ages or heights you may not all be able to race together (I've witnessed this shock when birthday parties assume they can race together). The Intermediate and Junior Races are slower than you'd assume. I could jog faster, but the WORST part is the speed. They go so slow and are controlled so it's nearly impossible to pass another racer or actually RACE! The Mini Mario has some speed and speed is adjusted based on the general age of the racers in the heat. The cost is $29 down to $15, which doesn't sound horrible, but after waiting for a long time for your group to be called and then racing for 1min to 7 minutes, the cost is really high! High enough you're not likely to get in line and do it again. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Ugh. There are kiosks and a giant line with actual people at a counter. Don't be mistaken YOU MUST go to the kiosk FIRST and fill out waivers, although there are no signs anywhere telling you that. We've filled out waivers on line before arriving, only to find ourselves at the front of the line and told "we can't find it, now to to the kiosks and get back in line". It's awful. The employees don't seem to like their jobs, or likely are sick of people being upset at them for the HORRIBLE process management has set up. We've never been able to find someone on the floor to help us when a video game eats our money or doesn't work either. The guys in the race area are hit or miss. Sometimes they're patient and kind. Other times they mumble and seem pissed off to be there. GAMES: The video games are the same as other places around town, but after driving all the way out here, searching for parking and then racing for 5 minutes we've always felt like we need to play a few games to make the trip worth it. FOOD: We've never eaten here, but it's basic bar food (hamburger, hot dogs, nachos, etc) and the cost is high for such basic food. We'd rather pay the same amount for better food options in the area. All that to say, expect to spend $$$ to come race, eat and play at Andrettis. Make sure your group has checked the height & age requirements to make sure you can race together. And finally, come with a lot of patience. ----- Race Categories ----- ADULT RACE 7- Minute Heat. Since the business was actively running the ad, we assumed the promotion was valid and decided to check it out today (2/7/25). When we arrived, there were about 15 staff members standing around and only a handful of patrons. We took a seat at the bar and were given the regular menu. When I asked about the happy hour menu, the bartender simply said, "We don't do happy hour," and walked away. Confused, my sister pulled up the exact ad that was still running on Instagram. The staff then informed us that the promotion had been offered by a former GM who left last week, and rather than honoring the ad or even apologizing for the confusion, they dismissed our concern entirely. It's disappointing when a business pays for advertising but fails to update or manage their promotions properly. If an offer is no longer valid, it should be removed from social media rather than misleading potential customers. Unfortunately, due to this experience, we chose to take our business elsewhere. I hope Backyard takes this as an opportunity to improve communication and ensure their marketing aligns with what they actually offer.
