This is a truly a great find! Was in LA for meetings and had a 2-hour window, found Cigar Time through Yelp. From the outside, Cigar Time is very unassuming, but once I walk into the lounge, I realized this is a true man's cave and a cigar lover's heaven! With wall to wall humidors of cigars, the memorabilia in the lounge, the wide dark leather sofa, Larry and other old timer greeting you like an old friend with their wise cracks. I enjoyed every moment of smoking a Davidoff Aniversario No. 3 at Cigar Time and will make this as a must stop in my future LA visit. read more

Pretty sweet spot, cool old school nostalgia covers the walls and lots of comfy seating with big screens to enjoy the games. Wide variety of cigars. Side note: they did not have the cigar I was looking for (Padron 7000) but the Owner made a special effort to look in the back and happend to have what I was looking for, needless to say great customer service and very welcoming. It was my first time coming here today. I'm fairly new to cigar smoking. So when I came here I didn't really quite know what I was looking for. This shop is big and looks fully stocked. When I walked into the doors, there was a group of guys smoking, joking around, watching a ball game, and talking about the Lakers. I think they knew I was a newbie cause they were staring at me lol. Larry got out of his seat and gave me some recommendations then proceeded to give me a little lesson on cigars. He showed me around the shop going over some of the cigars he had on hand and we talked about the Lakers. Larry is a good dude. He's patient, informative, and inviting. Overall: Great shop with a good selection, price, and customer service. If you are of a younger demographic may not be the best place to enjoy a cigar. Parking: Parking is found on the side of the store, since there is no street parking. Store Décor: As soon as you walk in I got the impression that the décor hasn't been updated since the Carter Administration. Lots of antique cigar paraphernalia that was probably new when it was first put up. Against the walls are all glass cabinets humidors with the cigars for sale. Towards the back a big flat screen and couches to relax and have a smoke. Ambiance: If you are 30 and under I don't think this will be your hang out spot. It is more like a place that your Dad would hang out to talk about sports and politics. Cigar Selection: Great Selection and were reasonably priced. No complaints. I actually CREATED a yelp account just to review this place. If I could give this place minus stars I would. I have never been treated more rudely or with less respect than in this place. We walked in, asked politely for a cigar, and the guy's response was to glare at us and say "Do I know you?" in a very nasty tone of voice. I was confused. Did we mistakenly walk into someone's house? I looked around some more, but no, I saw price tags on things in the store. Definitely a store. Well, excuse me sir. We're customers in your store. Are you supposed to know every single person who goes into your store? I understand if this is your HOUSE then okay. But no. This is a freaking store. Apparently he was pissed that we asked for that specific cigar cause they're rare. Umm.. ok. What's wrong with going into a specialty store and asking for a specific item? He said that he doesn't like to sell those cigars to people he doesn't know because they never come back. I WONDER WHY?! Is it because maybe you are a complete and total jerk to anyone you don't recognize who walks in? Of course if you're treated like garbage, then you won't want to go back?! Imagine that. What, people have to pass tests before you'll sell anything to them? Why do you even own a store? Ugh. I hope this place goes out of business. I was trying to find my husband a box of AVO LE 5's last year for Christmas,I called Larry he got me a signed box, my husband was a shocked that I was able to get him this box of cigars. This year I called Larry and asked for some recommendations he told me he had a box of cigars that my husband would love, I asked him how much he gave me a price I went in and picked them up. I have been to Cigar Time on several occassions and found that Larry the manager is an expert on cigars, and always willing to help a novice smoker. He takes the time to explain how, where, what type of tobaccos, leaves, etc. are used and can find the right priced smoke for you. I know that he also carries some hard to find cigars. The shop itself is like a museum with lots of old time clocks, special tobacco signage, etc. I highly recommend Cigar Time. read more
