Sturgis Sweet Jane. Sweet stogie and espresso martini

Small little family owned shop that is a straight up vibe! So unique in how they use their venue to accommodate customers. You sit outside but by the curb and on the elevated median between the shop and the street. Kinda feels like college how they take advantage of what little outdoor space you can create in Hillcrest but also upscale because well it's cigars and coffee and alcohol. I forgot our servers name but he was extremely helpful and friendly when choosing a cigar and the best drink to compliment it. Hooked me up with the BEST, and I do mean THE BEST espresso martini. It was fucking cute and most importantly, absolutely delicious! Cute spot, could always use support, def go check it out. Smaller selection of cigars but still good ones.

Friendly owners & staff. Quick service & excellent coffee. They can customize a coffee for you if your looking for something special to drink. The pastries are fresh daily & are displayed on the front counter as you pay for coffee. I can easily past the time drinking coffee & smoking cigars on a nice sunny day outside the shop. It could be the perfect spot to work from your laptop & enjoy the day. If you smoke cigars check out their humidor for a variety of brands.

One of my favorite places on 5th. A nice cigar and beer to kick back, relax outside and catch up with friends. + =

Such a great and low key spot to have a cigar with a great cup of coffee, whether you're there to watch a game, catch up on some work, or just to people watch. Plenty of sidewalk seating, including a stand-up bar for those super busy evenings. While not a huge humidor or tap house, the selections are diverse and high quality. The understated vibe here though is what makes this place worth coming back to again and again!

Love this place. Amazing staff. The owners are on site working too. These guys do an amazing job with their drinks, cigar suggestions, very friendly to new cigar smokers. You'll see people here on the patio watching games on the outdoor tvs, people studying inside or working here as their office. PS, if you're Filipino or into ube/taro, highly recommend you get their Oo-Bae cold brew.

Oh unfortunately I didn't take more pictures because I was busy enjoying myself. Great friendly staff and casual comfortable and welcoming. The outdoor patio has ample shade if you want or soak in the sun. Amazing heat lamps if you're cold. I mean they work really well. Great place.

Cool little spot to enjoy a cigar and a wine or coffee. They don't have a huge selection but do have some quality smokes! Friendly service and a cool vibe!

What a great place to relax at the end of the day... service is phenomenal... wine is delicious and a great assortment of cigars.... Oh... it's also the quiet storm roasters and their coffee is roasted here on-site... delicious!!!

Came down to Cigars On Fifth this afternoon as one of our stops to hit a few cigar lounges, needless to say we never left this place. We stayed till closing with the owner. We drank, we ate, we smoked, we talked for hours and had a great time. I was in the mood to try something different today. So we shared a flight of different coffees (my picks are the white mocha and hazelnut coffee), we shared Banana Bread, and eggwhite quiche, (which I have never had with egg whites) with bacon and spinach and was unbelievably fresh and tasty since all they're food is made fresh daily. We also had a rum infused coffee with SAKE! Amazing! My go to pairing has always been coffee and cigars. It just brings out the flavors of each other. Cigars On Fifth is Family owned and operated they provided the ambience of the essences of San Diego with home like patio seating for you to sit and smoke and drink coffee, beer, or wine. They gave us the royal treatment and greeted us with care and frequently checked on us, as drove nearly 2hrs. to get to San Diego and provided us with their excellent service, excellent hospitality, excellent cigar selection for the size of their location with indoor and outdoor patio seating. My only problem with them is that they're not close to home, but I will be going to San Diego more often during the summertime. It's must go to spot for all cigar aficionados. If my review helped you decide coming here, let me know. Wow, I just read my review, sorry it's a lil long, but can you blame me, it's that good!

AMBIANCE Parking: Hillcrest area--street parking, might take a minute depending on the time. Seating: Multiple lounge-style areas--couches, chairs, even a pool table setup. Plenty of space to spread out and hang. Good for small groups Vibes: Welcome to the Hillcrest Gay-borhood. It's an eventful place from good eats to bars. This place leans heavy into that speakeasy / vintage lounge feel--dim lighting, moody atmosphere, and a slightly cinematic vibe. It almost feels like stepping into another era. DRINKS / EXPERIENCE They've got a solid selection of wine, beer, and cigars, and the humidor (cigar storage room) is stocked with a variety of options for different preferences. Even if you're not a cigar expert, the staff is known to help guide you toward something you'll actually enjoy--which makes it approachable for both beginners and regulars. CUSTOMER SERVICE Friendly and knowledgeable. Rocky was pretty helpful. TL;DR OVERALL 4 Stars. Solid selections and pleasant vibes. I'm not into the cigar culture but it looks like a unique spot in San Diego. Great for a chill night out, especially if you're looking for something different from the usual bar scene. TIPS: * Take your time--this isn't a rush-through spot * Ask for recommendations if you're new to cigar

But as soon as i walked in, I knew I was in for a gem and it didn't disappoint. I had such a great experience at Cigar Cave! From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel right at home. They were fun and totally added to the vibe of the place, even if they inserted themselves into our conversation. Their energy was part of some really dope vibes and good fun! The selection of cigars they recommended based on the flavor profiles we described was spot-on. They have hundreds of cigars as well. Close the door when you enter and exit to keep the cigars fresh. They also serve beer and wine in cool glasses, which was a nice touch. The place has a low-lit, smokey, and had an edgy vibe that just screams chill. The decor is really unique and adds to the overall ambiance. Plus, they'll even change the TV to whatever you want, so you can kick back and enjoy your time however you like. It's super comfy and relaxed. I would definitely recommend this spot to others but not too many because I want to make this part of my monthly routine. If you're in Hillcrest and want a laid-back, fun place to grab a cigar, this is it!

The prices are on the higher side, but you're getting a great experience from start to finish while supporting a small thriving business in Old Town San Diego. Stellar collection of cigars, pipes, lighters and various things. Not to mention old timey tunes on their speakers. Fun fixtures and displays. They have coffee, soft drinks and small lounge area for those who wish to partake in store, not to mention some match books with their logo, great souvenir. We had a couple of Nubs (short thick stick cigars), great flavors for a shorter smoke time (draw it in, don't inhale - like with any cigar). Jeffrey (aka Jeff) was a dapper class act and gentleman, the guy you'll most like encounter and the first face you'll see when you walk in as well as on their site. A little outdoor seating, a bar top area, and a comfortable indoor area that is very inviting, were a surprise as I approached the location. The food is elegant, is presented amazing, and tastes great. I started with the Sweet Corn and Piñon Soup. I see why it was voted best soup for two years in a row. The thinly sliced corn bread adds an amazing texture in those bites. I had the Apricot salad (sorry I did not note the name and the menu was updated so it is not in any of the pictures) was fresh, crisp, and refreshing. I finished the evening with a Vanilla Bean Panna Cotta with sugared dark cherry was very pleasing. I almost forgot the focaccia bread.. made daily, served warm and soft. A must have. The server had a couple of hiccups with an incorrect food order and totally separate billing issue (which by their reaction I would assume was an off night) but other food delivery staff and bussing staff were timely and professional. I would recommend reservations. I was able to secure a seat (due to showing for dinner around 4 pm or so), but the restaurant filled up nicely and hosted about 4 anniversary's and 1 birthday in my time there. Dress attire seemed casual but there is definitely a more elevated clientele so I would recommend a thoughtful outfit for the experience.
