They have a good variety of cigars available at a reasonable prices. I would have liked to see descriptions of the flavor profiles and types of leaves used in the cigar cases. When I asked about a cigar profile the clerk just said, "It's a nice cigar". He then suggested I try a sampler pack. Sampler packs are great for a patron who doesn't know what they like in a cigar but I was looking specifically for a full flavored Maduro to enjoy in the lounge. I would suggest you either know what you are looking for or pull out your phone and do a search on the cigar. The lounge is cozy with about a dozen or so lounge chairs. There a drinks and snacks available. There's a tiny sign that says "No alcohol beverages allowed". Although I can appreciate that, I would have liked to have the option to pair a stick with an adult beverage. It's a shame. I came here yesterday and spent nearly $200 on cigars, and my first cigar, a house blend recommended by the employee, not only didn't light up well, but as I tried to smoke it and continued to draw on it, it wouldn't work. I tried and tried. Finally, I noticed the leaf on the cigar would easily peel off, so I opened the top portion, and there was a tear under the last and final wrap. I put it out and came in explaining to the guy what happened, and he said, "Come back tomorrow, I'm not the owner." I can't come back tomorrow as I'm only here on Wednesdays and the weekend. I was genuinely looking forward to coming here more frequently as their selection does look great, but unfortunately, I will not come back because what if I have another problem? This has never happened to me before, by the way. I am at Ohlone Cigar Lounge regularly and have never had this problem with any of my cigars. They take pride in their product, and if there's a problem, they will swap it out. The one time the tip didn't cut very well, they gave me a new one on the spot. I understand it's an $8 cigar, but at the same time, it's an $8 cigar. If they had handled that with ease, I would have for sure been appreciative and would have been a repeat customer when I was on this side of town. read more

This shop has the best selection I've seen in the Bay Area. They not only have brands that I've been struggling to find, but they also have different sizes of the same one(I saw at least six different options for Oliva's Series V alone). They also have a ton of accessories and humidors. Most shops I've been to have one or two cigars that are at $10, but they have several really good brands still priced at $10 or even $8. They also have a lounge that looks nice(I didn't hang out in the lounge). Overall, it's an excellent shop with a wide selection and great prices. read more

I thought I gave this cigar lounge a review already? Well I came here a few months ago and lounged late afternoon on a Saturday. I was smoking a Montecristo Nicaragua Robusto. This cigar in particular was perfect; med/full body, chocolate and nutty with small hints of leather. I smoked for about 1.5hrs and paired this cigar with a coffee from the donut shop next door. This paired beautifully by the way. This cigar produced a good smoke output with flavors bursting from start to finish. I will definitely buy this stick again. The owner is really nice and welcomed me in every way. You can watch sports or news on the flat screen and there's even a bathroom which is a plus. Their coffee machine was not working at the time but this is a good addition to the lounge nevertheless. This lounge is cozy and small which has limited seating but perfect for a smoke session after a long day at work or a nice spot to smoke to let the traffic pass. I will be back! read more

This is my second time at this shop. I don't smoke, but when my in-laws visit from overseas, they always buy cigarettes to take back. The first time I went, there was a nice man working there. No issues, gave me advice and I bought what I needed. The actual smoke shop is really clean and organized, no complaints. Since my in-laws needed cigarettes again, I decided to drive here, across town, since it was a pleasant experience before. As we drive up, there is a woman closing the door to the shop who gives us a dirty look and walks back in side. We walk in, she's standing by the cigars, I say Hi, she replies Hi. I tell her that I needed to buy some cigarettes. She walks over to the cigarettes and asks us what we wanted. I turn to my mother in law and ask her what she wanted (speaking in our native language), i could tell that the woman was already getting annoyed. I ask her what the difference is between two packs-- she just says "one is long and one isn't" in a rude tone. I ask my mother in law again and she asks me to get the shorter ones. I say "the short ones". She proceeds to take ones off a too shelf (while the ones that we were speaking about were lower and on sale), so i ask her "what's the difference between them", she replied something but i said that i'd rather just take the ones on sale-- 5 packs. As she grabs them, she says "you can at least say please". I reply "excuse me? What is the issue here? You're being rude". She replies-- you know what, i reserve the right to not sell this to you. By her terrible demeanor, i figured that there was no arguing with her. She looked like she was just waiting for a fight with someone the entire unpleasant time that we were there. I say "ok" and turn around to leave as she's saying something else I don't hear. Yes, at some point as i was walking out i did say one expletive i'm not proud of, but damn, the gall of this woman. Customer service absolute zero. I don't know what the issue was. Maybe it's because we were speaking another language (not that i had a choice, my mother in law is just visiting), maybe she didn't have the patience to wait for us to make up our minds, or may she's just terrible at her job. Very well organized, clean shop. The gentleman who runs this place was very helpful. I am not a cigar aficionado, so I needed some advice. He provided me with a range of options, and he didn't try to up-sell me to the most expensive cigars. I was only there to purchase a Zippo lighter. The employee was talking on the phone when I walked in, but I wasn't ignored like I expected to. He saw me perusing the Zippo showcase at the front, and informed me that there were more near the counter. As I stand at the showcase looking at each lighter trying to find the one I liked, he again stopped his conversation on the phone and informed me that he could show me any lighter that I might be interested in. When I finally found something I liked and requested to see it, he finished his phone call and gave me 100% of his attention. I liked it that he was attentive yet not intrusive. After purchasing a limited edition Zippo and fluid, and seeing as how I am completely green at this, he offered to fill up my lighter, and even removed the sticker mark on the lighter for me! Fantastico, this is a smokers smoke place. The store is a good size, nothing like CI in PA, but it's a good size. Not only does it have your perfect red wood walls and large humidor (sadly not a walk in humidor) it has a stylish, welcoming and friendly smoke room. It's not that big, but it can fit about 6 in chairs and 15 total. I hear that they had a bachelor party in there. They have complimentary fridge stocked with sodas and water, a wide screen TV, as well as lockers for those special guests that you can rent out. When I was there I struck up a conversation with a father and his twin sons, totally random, but had a great "mans" conversation. It was a good experience. The manager on duty was really cool and helpful giving me suggestions of what were new in stock (Which they had a lot of smokes to choose from). I was happy to see that they separated their flavored cigars from their regular ones. The prices were decent not too extravagant, I walked out with a RP '92, Macundo, AFs and a random RP totaled 25 bucks, so I was happy. Smoked the RP '92 there and the rest with family that night. Went into this place several weeks ago to look at their selection of "E-Cigs". I'm extremely new to this trend but was able to quit smoking on the cheap $8-$9 throw away e-cigs you buy at gas stations. They worked for what I wanted them to do but the habit remained and they didn't taste good nor was I able to tell when they were about to run out leaving me in a sense stranded at bars with nothing to puff on. As this was my first time coming here and only having an idea of what I wanted and what I wanted to realistically spend, I found that the prices were actually a bit less than what I was expecting. The gentleman was very helpful and explained to me the differences in the batteries between the 2 I was looking at and their longevity. I went for the longer battery and then it came to what flavor fluid(s) did I want... He pulled out a display of sample flavors for me to try out and choose from. I found 3 flavors and since I bought 3, I received $4 off... After I paid for everything he showed me how to adjust the volts, lock the volt adjustment screen, how to lock the button you press to smoke and how to refill the tank then we shared a few stories on quitting smoking (cigarettes). To sum it up (if you didn't want to read my small novel), My overall experience was flawless. Clean store, good selection, helpful employee. I will be returning for my flavor liquids when I run out/low in the near future. read more
