Ok "Tex-Mex" in Covington, at a good price. All in all the food was fine. Our party had several dishes and nothing was bad or great. The one thing that I would not recommend is the Red table salsa for the chips, it tasted like a can of pureed tomatoes. The Price point was good for the amount of food. Pro tip: They have a decent red and green spicy salsa if you ask, I would Highly recommend over the Red they serve in the craft. Margaritas are great and food is good. The churros are the best I've ever had! If you haven't tried them please do yourself a favor! It's a very loud but fun atmosphere. Amazing food amazing service ! And also this part of town was adorable ! Off street parking but it wasn't bad . There's a lot of cute shops and stuff in this area as well. Got cilantro jalapeño margaritas which were so goood! Then we had guacamole and queso and free chips and salsa . Everything was so good . Have eaten here numerous times previously with no real issues other than the place is so loud you really cannot hold a conversation. Even on a Wednesday night it was super loud. This last time we hardly recognized any staff members and the food was NOT good and the drink was HORRIBLE. I ordered a Paloma and what they made was , I think, tequila and 7 up. I asked if they used grapefruit juice and because the waitress really didn't seem to understand, she came back after speaking to the bartender saying "it's a special drink". It was horrible and I did not take more than one sip, yet I was charged $8.15 for it. The margarita my husband had was $16. Again, I don't know what has changed here but based on this last visit, we will not return. read more

We ordered out from this restaurant and we didn't have a single item that was correct. I ordered 2 shrimp tacos and neither of them came, all the tacos my family ordered came with only the meat and the shell and maybe a half cup of salsa for the whole order of 17 tacos. Casual Mexican dining with a fantastic, welcoming staff. The owners of this locally owned business are in the restaurant serving you and managing their kitchen. While this business is off to a modest start, having only opened a month or so ago, be ready for a wait to get in after the word spreads locally. Fresh, hot, well spiced food. Nice variety on the menu. Welcoming, accommodating staff. Generous portions on both food and drinks. Massive margaritas. The (what I called it) "40/40" modelo margarita that was ordered for the member of our group who was celebrating his birthday was pretty impressive. Definitely one to share. The steak was fantastic, a friend had the steak fajita chimichanga, and it was also top notch. No one in our party of 20 (seated at separate tables) had a bad experience or less than fantastic food. Miranda was a rock star, and I will be back for another steak with grilled veggies and a side of their great guacamole. Went to Cilantros with a group of friends. The staff member who greeted us when we all walked in was very nice and our waitress came right over to the table. Unfortunately, it went downhill from there. Those at the table who ordered wine were served glasses with about a quarter of a glass of wine in each. Although the portions of food were very good, the amount of salt in each dish was way too heavy!!! Our waitress never came back to our table to check on anyone after the food was served and we did not see her again until she brought the check. Some of the friends asked another waitress about the small pouring of wine in each of the glasses and that staff rectified that issue. Besides our table, there were only several tables with guests in this large restaurant. Sorry to say but we do not recommend Cilantros. read more
