Pool in the desert north of Tucson, built and maintained by Cimmaron, since 2015

Cimarron Circle Construction is a fine pool and spa construction company. We LOVE our pool, nestled as it is among the desert, with rocks selected from our land. There was never a problem, from building to sign-off to maintenance to (the usual) occasional pool and spa circulation/heating operation repair issues. Quick and pleasant helpful response. All nice folks as well, which we highly value. Now, it is true that as a pool building company, they may not always be up-to-date with new pool pumps, and finding the latest items and accessories for repairs. For this, it seems best to go to a pool repair/maintenance company, of which there are many in greater Tucson. We recently discovered this when Cimmaron could not deliver a new pool pump when ours burned out, but other pool repair companies could do so easily and quickly; we chose the closest and least expensive one, and all is well. But, if you need a new pool, or a major renovation of an old one, we would trust Cimarron Circle Construction above all others in our sphere of knowledge. They may not always be the least expensive. Indeed, they were most expensive of three bids we had for building the pool, but we chose them due to reputation, and are solidly happy that we paid slightly more for the best. Longevity in the business, and accumulated experience and wisdom, count. For you the client, this is a life-long or near-life-long commitment, with smiles. Thanks, Cimarron. We will continue to recommend you for pool and spa builds. For a burned-out pump, go to a pool repair shop. Best, Bernd and Melany

Beautiful pool--but the water cascades into the desert because the return line on the pool was designed wrong.

Found that the pool is beautiful but the way the plumbing works is actually flawed and I received no response to my letter. If they propose a pool design, I suggest you have a certified plumber review the plans to make sure their design will work. September 16, 2016 Doug Staples Cimarron Circle Construction 4325 E Grant Road Tucson, AZ 85712 RE: 2060 N Calle Del Suerte, Tucson, AZ 85745 Dear Mr. Staples: You may recall that we spoke about the pool that your company installed--perhaps 2003-2004 is my best guess? Anyway, we greatly enjoy the pool but have been having some difficulties. The pool is a negative edge pool with a trough that catches the water and returns it to the tank that's buried about 7-8' feet into the ground. The issue that we're having is that the lines from the pool to the tank constantly clog and the water overflows into the desert--a waste of water and quite a bit of maintenance. I am writing you to ask for assistance. Finally, I got tired of wasting water or having the pool clog when we were at work so I called a plumber--Wood's Plumbing in Marana and had Wesley Woods--a licensed plumber come out to the home to try and assist me with the issue. So Mr. Woods took the access portal lid off the tank and then two feet below is the actual tank with the sensors installed. Wesley and another plumber did an analysis and stated the reason the water was not draining and clogging correctly. The return line is plumbed to the bottom of the tank 7 feet down. Now the question is--does the line go across horizontally from the drain or does it go down 7 feet from the pool and across. I don't know. I guess we could run a camera and see. Clearly--the line should have gone to the top of the tank and that way the drain lines would constantly clear and there would be no issue with the drains. I'm politely requesting you address this design issue and work with me to a resolution amicably. Please let me know your thoughts by September 30th as I'd like to correct the defect before the holidays. Sincerely, Daniel A Kalm 2060 N. Calle Del Suerte Tucson, AZ 85745 520-300-1293

$95 for them to come look at my pool to tell me they can't fix it. Not helpful, would not recommend.

We used these folks to build and maintain our pool and fire pit. Great job. Very reliable and always responsive. Recommended highly!

The J is part of my silver sneakers program and here's the situation there. It's a lovely facility…read more New equipment, beautiful pool, tennis courts and pickleball. When snowbirds are here you can't really get into classes ( most are great) unless you set alarms for yourself and sign up a couple of days ahead. The place skews older and I although there are high school kids there in the afternoons it's not age diverse. Plus side is it's very forgiving and a great place to start weight lifting and more. There are paid programs for that and I think that would be worth it. I belong to a few other places so it's not a problem. I really like yin yoga there and trx . If this is going to be your main place you will be frustrated.

Okay... how did I NOT know this place existed?! That's…read moreexactly what I was thinking the first time I stepped foot onto the JCC. I discovered the Tucson Jewish Community Center after they hosted the Hot Cocoa Run 5K (hands down one of the funnest, most vendor-packed races I've ever done ), and let me tell you--walking into the JCC feels like stepping into a whole other world. This place is HUGE and has everything. They gifted a week pass in our swag bags from 5k and I fully leaned in--and I'm so glad I did. First off, the community + programming here is next level. I got to participate in pottery and ceramics classes (SO fun and surprisingly legit), and I love that they partner with local creatives and groups. It gives the whole place a collab, community-driven feel that I'm always looking for. On the fitness side--they're not playing around. I took multiple classes, and their cycle class (aka performance ride ) was actually really solid. Great energy, great programming. I also hit a strength-based class that delivered, and the gym floor itself is super clean, spacious, and not overcrowded (major win). The crowd is also refreshingly diverse in age, which I loved--it truly feels inclusive. And can we talk about the Cafe at the J... because YES. Tons of vegan options , actually flavorful, and super affordable. Not your typical "gym cafe" situation at all. Beyond that, this place is basically a mini campus--tennis, pools, art spaces, events, rentals, and even traditional Jewish baked goods (fresh bread, hello ). They also host a TON of events--like so many it's hard to keep up--so definitely check their calendar because there's always something happening. Overall, I'd absolutely go back. Whether you're going for fitness, arts, community events, or just to explore something new in Tucson--this place is a whole experience.
