    Popcorn & Soda

It was my first time to watch a movie here. My friend and I had to order our food at the counter - Popcorn, Margherita Pizza and sodas. If you download the Cinepolis app, you can avail of a free Churro Donut (which had vanilla ice cream on top)...yum! Overall, the food was better than I expected - it was tasty and delicious. Then the staff member will deliver your food inside the theater. There's an arcade / gaming area for the kids too. In addition to that, there's also a children's theater with a small play area as well. Thank you to Cinepolis manager Ria Lopez and staff for your excellent customer service! Looking forward to watch more movies here in the future. :)

Completely worn arm rests and where you place your head too. Fancy from the outside but ugly from the inside

I gave 3 stars and I would've given it 1 had it not been for how good the food and drinks were. The movie we watched was nice too good sound good screen. But those seats were horrible. I was embarrassed cause I took my girl there. And when people were walking in, everyone was saying the same thing. A lady walked in and left and said she was not going to sit in these seats looking like that. Again, the food and drinks and sound saved the day but those seats have to go!

The women's restroom were in horrible maintenance, no toilet paper in almost all stalls. There was no soap in the women's restroom. What is going on here cinepolis luxury pff ! Really the other person in the stall can see everything of yours. The food was way too salty.

First time ordering chicken strips /fries 7/10 not bad! Always have to order an ICEE cherry /coke No popcorn this time. Sat on row D12 & D13 /theatre 6 for Jurassic rebirth Gentleman to my left was talking throughout the whole movie & kept turning his screen on to his phone . Ruins the movie theatre experience + you don't want to get up & go notify the floor manager & miss your movie time.

Pico Rivera Cinepolis Theater was an enjoyable experience for me. I saw "Harry Potter and The Deathly Hollows, Part I" for $5.00. Yes, it's an older movie but I find it enjoyable to see films I missed in theater the first time, given an opportunity again. Beforehand, I ordered popcorn and soda. I always find theatre food to be expensive but decided I could splurge a little since the film was relatively inexpensive. Both the inside and outside of the theater are well maintained. Everything is clean. I plan on coming back to see Part II of The Deathly Hollows. I went back the next day to see a regularly priced film. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to eat in advance. I ordered a margarita pizza. Was it cheap, no. It was the price of a regularly priced pizza. Was it scrumptious, not necessarily but it was fine. The cashier who takes your order asks for your ticket and based on that, the food gets delivered to your seat. This allows you to not miss the movie. Other items such as popcorn and drinks are given at purchase. There is a huge arcade area, with seating. They serve alcohol so there is an option of getting a drink before the movie and relaxing. There are plentiful bathrooms that are also kept clean. There's plenty of parking, as well. Surrounding the theatre are places to eat such as Don Chente, Raising Cane's, and Little Caesar's, if you have time before or after. In general, I'd recommend this establishment.

Great concept, great experience and so fun for the kids. The pros: play area of course, 10 min intermission, full menu and bar!!! Cons: no tables to eat from, and the parents didn't watch their kids during the movie so there were interruptions. Overall in highly recommend this experience because the pros outweigh the cons.

Nice theater but they seriously price gouge. I can't believe I spent $62 on just snacks and the OJ $8 that's just ridiculous, I didn't even notice the price because their monitor screen only lists the combos but since my child wanted a juice I ordered it thinking it would be $5 max. I think with reasonable prices the theaters would be packed but it's no surprise why it was a slow Saturday for them!

Cinépolis Luxury Cinemas Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Cinépolis Luxury Cinemas

Are the movies shown here in Spanish?

Unless there is Spanish in the movie, it's going to be English.

Is the toddler area (under 3yo) open while the movie is showing?

No it isn't. It is only open during the beginning of the play time and the 10 min intermission that is half way through the movie.

Do they play movies in español latino?

They do but it varies It's best to check the site for show times since most movies are not subtitled

Do you still have Tuesday special discount?

Yes they do! $6 tickets with the exception of the 4dx that is half price The JR theater is not discounted…

    Do you take Apple Pay?

No they don't....just went yesterday 5/5/22

When will the theater open again?

    It's open already

Las películas tienen subtítulos en español?

"Bad Boys for Life" es todo por ahora.

Can you buy tickets in person on the kiosk a day before for the movies tmrw?

Yes you! But you are only able to pay with a credit card no cash or digital pay

Can you book a birthday party, and what is the estimated price for group of 15-20?

You can but you would have to go on the site at cinepolisUSA.com . Click on the tab Events and that should give you a breakdown or you can also contact them cia email for a quicker reponse

    Ponen películas en español?

Nunca he visto anuncios de películas o subtítulos en español.

How do you know your purchasing tickets for the JR theater?

When you are on the site. There will be a specific section with the Header JR theater , the show times right underneath are for the JR Theater

Are the sodas and popcorn free refills?

Nope. I specifically asked once because the large popcorn isn't very big and they said there were no refills.

Do they have recliners on all screenings?

Yes ! they all have recliners except for the 4DX theater

Can u take food from outside in the theatre?

Not into the theater itself but there's tables in the lobby area that you can sit down and eat. I don't think any theater allows you to take outside food into it.

What is the current (April 2019) Student ticket price?

Not sure, I suggest you call.

How's the 4dx experience? Do you guys recommended for Avengers End game?

4DX is pretty immersive so I'd say yes it would be a lot of fun for me. Not everyone's preference is the same though. Avengers is an action movie so you can expect those chairs will move a lot, which sounds fun to me!

Can you watch movies in spanish?

Yes but it varies on availability I would recommend calling in or checking the site

Does this Cinépolis location have a bar?

Nope. But they just started to serve beer and wine.

    Do they offer student discount?

    Yes they do.

Can you order food online before the movie?

No not for this location but they will happily take any kitchen food you order to your seat so you don't wait around like in another theater.

What really stood out was their extensive food menu. My husband and I tried their taquitos, and honestly, they were so tasty! We also got the nachos. My husband gets nachos every single time we go to the movies, and he loved the Hispanic twist they put on these. Beer, good food, and a movie? We were definitely satisfied! They also have signature cocktails inspired by the movies they're showing, which I thought was such a cute touch! We'll definitely be back.

I selected this particular location due to the challenges of finding parking in Monterey Park and Santa Anita. However, I soon discovered that parking near this theater presented similar difficulties. In retrospect, I should have anticipated a crowd given my decision to visit on a Saturday. My son and I initially intended to purchase only a beverage, as we had dinner plans following the movie. While waiting at the concession stand, I noticed Katjes, a German-made product. I am quite fond of the texture of European gummies. Ultimately, my son and I left with both beverages and candy. I found the reclining seats enjoyable, although certain sections of the chairs could benefit from reupholstering. While previous reviews mentioned cleanliness concerns, I personally found the theater to be cleaner than what others had described. I certainly plan to visit this theater again in the future.

When we went to watch Zootopia, my reserved seats were literally on the floor. There were tools left around the seating, as if someone had been repairing them and just walked away without finishing or cleaning up. On top of that, the sound kept lowering throughout the movie to the point everyone had to sit still and be very quiet to listen to the dialogue. I recently went to watch Avatar, and the condition of the theater hasn't improved. The recliners are peeling and some don't recline anymore. During the movie, the screen kept going black and I'm not sure but I felt like the sound was off as well. The only good thing I can say about this theater is the seat service, but even that has some delays, 30-40 minutes for popcorn. I really hope management addresses these issues, because this theater used to be great and clearly has potential.

Otherwise you will be waiting in a huge line and may be fighting for a good spot, so you can be far away from the we*d smokers or smokers of any kind, if you are a nonsmoker like we are . Prices are still cheap. Only $14 for general admission (12 and older). Way better than walk in theater general admission prices. Pretty sure ticket prices are cash. So make sure you have cash for tickets. We came to see Mortal Kombat II. Which was amazing. I never saw the first movie. But you don't have to have seen the first to follow this movie. One reason I wanted to see this movie is Mortal Kombat II is my favorite video game (SNES) version of the MK video games. The best place to see an action movie is on the massive drive-in theater movie screen. Not Imax, etc. So we went here. Another great thing about drive in theaters is you can bring your own food and you can have privacy with your date inside your vehicle, if you know what I mean . Just have privacy glass. Because a family of kids can be parked next to your vehicle. If you want, you can bring chairs and sit outside your vehicle and watch. Which is also a great choice. Especially if you have kids. They will love sitting outside. If you do sit outside, bring a coat, blanket, etc. It gets cold at night. The concession is cheap af and not like walk in movie theater prices. For example, their large popcorn is huge. Yet its only $10 with taxes. We got ours with extra butter. They offer a lot of other good stuff too at great prices. But we only wanted warm popcorn with extra butter. I saw some raggedy ATM machines in there. Not sure if concession got them there so you can use cash to buy food. But I didn't ask as I already had some cash on me to buy popcorn. So make sure you bring cash for concession as well. Make sure you vehicle radio can tune to 90.1 FM and you can leave it on without it draining your battery and without parking/headlights being activated. It drives us movie goers crazy when some foolish person will turn on their headlights while everyone else is trying to enjoy the film. Also, if you need a radio for showing, you can buy one from them for $20 at concession. Great experience here. I love this place. Like I said, I havent been here in like 6 years. Last time I was here, one ticket paid for double feature. Which was a steal. Because after Mortal Kombat II, I was looking forward to seeing Michael again. Which we already saw at a walk in theater. But we were ready to see it again on the biggest screen ever. They dont do double features anymore. So if the website shows two movies, dont misread like I did. It clearly says: "TICKETS ARE FOR A SINGLE SHOW TIME ONLY." I was wondering why everyone was leaving after Mortal Kombat II was over . We stayed in vehicle until security drove by and told us they only do single features. We weren't the only ones he had to tell. Great experience here. Cant wait to see another larger than life movie here.
