I actually like this location for several reasons: -Never had a bad experience here. Staff have always been friendly and helpful in all interactions. -It doesn't get as packed as other theaters. Even when there are popular movies out, I've never had problems getting good seats. Not great for the theater though lol. -It is not freezing cold like other theaters. Some people want it to be an icebox in there, but not me. I never need a jacket! -Conveniently located in a plaza with good food, milk tea, and dessert options. Enjoy a movie then have dinner and dessert without having to drive to a different place. -Parking is free and easy in the underground lot, so your car isn't baking in the heat. So disappointed! We purchased 3 tickets and a large popcorn for Super Mario Galaxy! It was just me and the girls, celebrating Mother's Day together. I love to surprise them by not telling them adventures until we arrive. When our tickets didn't scan, I thought, hmmm, no biggie. Let's look for the email. Still an issue. "Step aside please". The counter gentleman didn't know what was happening, nor did he know the ticket was associated with a "cancelled" movie. Ok. Got it. My issue is with the "manager". She was in no way apologetic. Just said that there were "projector issues" and that we could receive our refund via Fandango. I stood there, amazed. No genuine care for the fact that our day date was ruined. I first told her that even though it's a 3rd party app, AMC should be responsible for the communication issue. After I repeatedly told her how upset I was, she asked me what I thought I deserved, or something to that effect. I don't know. I run restaurants. You run movie theatre's. I know what I would do for you if you were my guest. She reluctantly offered me passes. Thanks. Then I waited for someone to acknowledge me for return on a pre-ordered popcorn. Crickets. The manager came to refund the popcorn. She asked for the order number. "Just ONE popcorn"? Ya. One popcorn. It's a luxury to eat $11 popcorn and I choose to feed my kids healthy 99% of their meals. Do I need to explain that? No. Don't judge a guest for the 1 or 20 items they order. Just refund them. As I went to show it to her, she aggressively grabbed my phone out of my hand. Ummm, excuse me. I don't let strangers touch my personal property without approval. Rude. Someone should contact me from corporate. Located at Atlantic Time Square Plaza. It's on Atlantic side of the street. There's plenty of underground parking in the structure. Can be accessed from Atlantic and Hellman. I usually come to this one compared to the Santa Anita location because this one actually offers a digital viewing more so than the other location. I don't need the 3-d or other features. Tickets can be purchased online, but there is a convenience fee. Or you can purchase them at the box office. The perk of purchasing online is that you can select your seat. read more

Underrated AMC - my go-to when I don't want to deal with any crowds as most of the theaters here, though not 'special' (i.e. Prime, Laser, XL, IMAX, etc.), are quite spacious and clean. This goes for the establishment in general: from the ample parking to the high ceilings upon entry. You definitely get the cinema experience, although on a local level. Extra points for this being the one AMC location they will show subtitled Asian films. Always fun to see what feature is being rotated in. Also gives me a sense of pride for this diversity. P.S. And this is random but re: Icees here, they are kept behind the counter (vs. self-serve) but staff always knows how to make a perfect one, even when you ask for half/half. :) read more

Bad experience. No AC inside the rooms and the seats are dirty. They don't clean the rooms it was my first time and last time going there. I ordered my food online and still waited 20 minutes to asked an employee for my food since it wasn't on the pick up table. read more

Super busy so expect long line for check in, food and drinks purchase, another wait for food pickup, and so dirty meaning sticky floor with popcorn everywhere (deep frowned). I had a horrible experience at this AMC, It all started at the concession stand, the line was horrible and employees were taking super long with every guest, popcorn tasted old and the worst part it was super hot in the theaters, people were fanning them selves and seats are super out dated. The movie theater was very clean. I love how it has a good variety of arcade games. The seats are okay. There is alot of parking and you do not have to pay so that is a plus. For it to be on Sunday afternoon there was no crowd. read more

I had a really frustrating experience at this AMC. I bought a smoothie before coming in and had it tucked away in my pocket. You couldn't even see the drink itself, just the outline through my pocket. An employee named Sulleyma stopped me and told me I couldn't bring it in. I understand businesses have policies, but what bothered me was how she handled the situation. She greeted me with the usual customer service script, but her tone and attitude felt cold and unfriendly. It came across as forced rather than genuine, and the interaction left me feeling embarrassed over something that could have been handled much more politely. What made it even more frustrating was that I had already paid for the smoothie and didn't want to waste it. Since they weren't stopping me from drinking it in the lobby, I ended up standing there and chugging the whole thing before going into the theater. It was ridiculous that I had to rush through something I had just bought instead of enjoying it during the movie. Overall, the interaction left a really bad impression. read more

Just the parking alone is what will keep me from coming to this place. When we finally found parking, we waited for the elevator and it ended up being out of service without a sign.. then when we took the stairs, we ended up being taken out to the back of the entire building. Some doors were broken in the stair case as well and wouldn't open. We were completely lost. (We weren't the only ones, multiple people were lost with us) When we finally found the right staircase and got inside the theater.. the place was dirty. I understand a busy Saturday night, but to have popcorn spilled in multiple areas. The area to get butter for your popcorn covered in dirty napkins, spilled popcorn and trash is just not acceptable. It was a pretty trashy experience to say the least. This was first time - and will be the last time - going to this theater. After entering the lobby area, my first thought was it was messy. There was popcorn all over the floor. There was butter on the floor (making it slippery) near the soda machines/butter dispenser. There was popcorn leading up towards the actual theaters. I understand the theater doesn't need to be pristine, but there really shouldn't be THAT much trash on the floor. Theater itself was hot and stuffy throughout the entire movie - and 2 1/2 hours was a long time to be that uncomfortable. Lastly, the clientele was horrendous. Like it was the first time they have ever gone to a movie theater. All around it was non-stop talking throughout the entire movie. I've never experienced something like this at a movie theater. The people directly behind me were CONSTANTLY rustling through their paper bags with food they brought in. And it was non-stop talking, commenting on everything happening on screen. I turned around twice to shush them but nothing. The woman three seats down was making loud obnoxious sounds throughout the movie - like there is no need to gasp that loud or cackle during parts that are not meant to be funny. The couple next to me, also nonstop talking, giving updates throughout the movie on which other movies the actor was in. The family in front of me was also disruptive where one son would get up, cross over multiple people to talk to the mom - out loud. Up in the front, someone's phone was constantly going off - no need to have a Ring notification that someone is at your door! While most of these issues with patrons are not the theater management's fault, but I share because again the clientele is just trashy - which I was surprised about. I love the location of this AMC and the businesses that surround it. We watched a movie last night and we were pretty disappointed that this location does NOT have recliners! It sounds petty but most locations do. We watched an hour and a half movie last night and our butts were hurting towards the end of it. The seats also don't provide much leg room and the cushions are flat. :/ We want this location to thrive and a much needed update with the seating would def draw in more customers, including us. The Montebello AMC will keep being our go to. read more

We recently watched Rosemead here because it was one of the few AMCs that was showing it. Nice to see some theaters playing less mainstream films that also cater to the community. Lots of parking spaces with a dated theater decor. This AMC takes me back to the 2000s down to the old school seats and menu items. (I love it). It actually makes the place unique. As for the sound and picture quality, it was perfectly fine. No complains there. read more

This theater experienced a poweroutage. The staff didnt tell any customers and let all the movie goers buy tickets while none of the theaters were able to show movies. We sat in the theater for over an hour with nothing playing on the screen. We went to ask what was going on and they told us then there was a power outage so none of the movies were playing and told us to email corporate about getting a refund. THEY WERE STILL LETTING PEOPLE BUY TICKETS AND BUY FOOD WITHOUT SAYING ANYTHING ABOUT THE POWEROUTAGE! SO DISHONEST! read more

It's a good AMC. Not sparkling bougie, but a good clean. You walk in and is hit with the smell of popcorn. I've been to movie theaters with popcorns sitting on the side for god know how long but this AMC is always churning fresh popcorn, which is a great sign. Plenty of free parking in the structure. This is my local AMC and I love going there to watch the latest movies out! This theater also premieres special foreign films especially Chinese Mandarin and Cantonese movies. The reason is because the city of Monterey Park has a high Asian population so it makes sense for them to have such showings available. The service is consistently good. Never too crowded with lines and wait times. The rooms and seats are maintained well throughout. For the time being, you will only find me there on a Tuesday or Wednesday taking advantage of their 50% off special promo! My experiences at AMCs have always been very iffy for me. Definitely not my preferred theater to visit, but it is pretty decent. The theater is pretty big, and wasn't too busy when I went. You buy the tickets at the kiosks at the front, and there were just two set up. Once you purchase your tickets, you have to wait in line to have someone check your tickets. At first, there was only one person checking tickets, and that person looked busy with a customer asking questions about something, so we (since I was 4th in line) were all stuck waiting for them to wrap up so we could get checked in. Overall, not too long a wait since another person came over to help with the ticket check ins and we were off to the theaters. The theaters were quite large, but it was quite hot inside. The AC wasn't running, and it just got a bit stuffy/hot so just a note on that. I've learned I'm not a big fan of the plush seating, but it is pretty spacious at this location, so it wasn't too bad. However, my typical theater has the recliner seats for cheaper pricing, so unless I'm going out with friends and the AMC theater would be our 1/2 point, I don't think I'll voluntarily go to an AMC for my movie needs. Overall, it was decent, not too pricey for the seats, but also not the most comfortable if you are waiting a super long movie. read more

This AMC is located in a great location at Atlantic Times Square in Monterey Park which is across the Courtyard Los Angeles Monterey Park. I've seen many movies there because the location is very convenient and they have many Hong Kong movies (Cantonese movies) are shown at this location. However, they don't have reclining seats available at this theatre and I wish they had IMAX or DOLBY like the AMC Puente Hills in City of Industry. I watched the Hong Kong movie "The Last Dance" with Mom 2 days ago and it was an extraordinary movie. I was so excited that we could see this movie in the US. read more

This has always been an "okay" AMC. Definitely feels like an older AMC by the chairs but I like coming here since they usually have seat available for newer movies. This time around I came here to watch Superman and the movie was good but the theater was pretty mid (The middle seats you still need to look up at the screen a good portion, it even felt too close). My husband accidentally ordered the wrong flavor of Icee and when we kindly asked Kaitlyn if we could switch it, she gave a huge sigh and rolled her eyes. Keep in mind this was early in the day and there was no one in line. I immediately called her out on it and I told her that it was very rude of her to do that. I came here for the Brave New World on a rainy day and I mistakenly left my phone at home. Luckily, I had my driver's license. My guy Chris was able to look up my Stubs account and locate my ticket. Went here to watch the Bocchi the Rock re-cap movie. It's QUITE a spacious theater, I didn't think it would be that huge since it was already pretty big seeing the front and how much space it takes up in Atlantic Times Square. You go up towards the back stairs and dip left or right. There's also a large concession stand, some arcade games and machines, etc. The restroom was not the cleanest with some of the soap not working that great, but decent. It's definitely an older theater with no reclining seats. Overall the sound quality wasn't bad and the display was crisp. I think the only issue was that at certain points the light and screen was weirdly projected onto the seats. Might be the arrangement of theater itself. read more

This is one of my favorite big chain movies theaters to go to in Los Angeles. They have free parking first off and a big parking lot that is underground so safe, the theatre is managed well, clean, the seats and comfortable I never ran into any issues here. I come here regularly for a movie meet up group where we love films! :) it is also in a plaza with some restaurants and cafes, and right by a Ralphs grocery store and Ranch 99. And conveniently right next to a freeway exit so anyone from anywhere can easily get to and find! read more

Location is a bit old but it's accessible and pleasant to watch movies here. Enough movie theaters and decent seating for medium sized crowds. Entry and exit are not difficult. Location is part of a plaza living community hybrid and there is plenty of free underground parking. read more

First time back at the theaters since the pandemic and only to see the next Planet of the Apes movie. Price is decent for matinee, overall clean, not crowded and comfortable seats. I really liked how any seat was a good seat! Will definitely be back for the next sequel! read more

This place was horrible. The air conditioner was turned off as soon as the movie started and omg was it hot. It felt so nasty I would never go here again. Then when we bought our food, the guys said, why you in the gold member line, show me your w gold member if not send in back of the regular line. Reason for my visit to this particular AMC theater they regularly screens Asian films specially Korean movies which I'm a big fan of. PROS: Great location with lots of Chinese restaurants nearby, friendly staff members, clean lobby and restroom areas and also has a small arcade place with a few classic games in it. CONS: The seats inside theater are kinda uncomfortable, definitely needs upgrading & not fully cleaned and no IMAX or 3D only 2D screens which was a big disappointment from a place like this !!! read more
