I had initially been intent on getting three quotes and had my little list with Home Depot, Costco and one local vendor on it (The Blind Guys) I had selected the local vendor through consumer research. I had a budget in my head that I was intent on staying within and while I was not too picky about shutter brand, I was selective enough to know my budget was in a *quality* range. Scooter came out from The Blind Guys and did a great job with initial consultation. Very knowledgeable about the product he was selling and how things would look/fit, as we talked through. He left me my quote, explained how things would work if I decided to go with them and the Hunter Douglas products and I was incredibly impressed with our local business. So much so, that I did not end up needing to have the 3rd parties come out through Home Depot, Costco (reviews of quality/damaged products, scheduling, issues, etc. were a bit too frightening as well) Fast forward to 6-7 weeks later, when my 18 shutters were in; they called and scheduled an installation; came out with no issues or problems. The shutters were in perfect condition, and looked amazing! As mentioned we have a ton of windows, so there was a follow up visit a few days after initial install for some additional caulking that did not get finished and that was taken care of. The group of guys that came out were super friendly, hardworking and knowledgeable. The experience overall was fantastic for us, and it was a a significant investment so you want things to go well and right and they absolutely did. There is a reason that this business and their team get excellent reviews and I do not regret for a second going with my gut and just getting one single quote from The Blind Guys!
