Living in La Pine, I go here quite often. The portions are large and I usually take about half of my meal home. Prices are excellent. The food is flavorful, and they have a very large menu with so many combinations you really can get anything you are in the mood for. The drinks are good, and whether it's a slow afternoon, or a busy Friday night the servers cater to you very well. My favorite thing to get is the crab enchiladas meal. Terrible service at 4pm and was not busy at all. Charged extra for refills of soft drinks. Food was made wrong with sour cream and guacamole they simply scraped it off and reserved it. Salsa was good but waited forever for chip refill and it never happened. Begged for water refill a few times before it happened. We are use to good Mexican food being from Texas and we were disappointed here. We won't recommend this place to anyone. read more

Three kinds of sauces are offered with your chips. Chunky salsa is quite spicy. Verde Sauce is excellent. Portions are ample. Rice is always fresh and fluffy, not dry. On the positive they do make homemade tortillas, although they need to be cooked a bit more. The service was excellent!!!! The beers were COLD and that was awesome!!! For people who have not really eaten great and authentic Mexican food I'm sure this will be a nice meal. I was so bummed to find out how "saucy" everything was...drowning in it. To make matters worse the sauce was all from a can whaw wa whaaaw. The pork was rubbery so it had not been slow cooked down, it was also cut into tiny dog food looking bits. I'm not sure why these restaurants don't slow cook the pork the day before and hand shred, get rid of this can sauce thing yuk. The rice I'm pretty sure was from a box. The salsa was odd and the mild and one was more like ketchup, it might have been ketchup mixed with salsa Horrible!! Maybe if you wanted a burrito, taco or quesadilla this would be an awesome pick. The flan was over cooked and someone dumped a whole thing of vanilla extract in there. If I wanted to meet someone for tacos and cold beer or even a margarita because I was not going to cook...I might pick here. read more

Loved the restaurant. Cozy atmosphere that the locals flock to even on a Wednesday night! We had the chicken tostata and salad. The chicken was to die for. We come from Los Angeles and are pretty picky on the Mexican food. The customer service was also excellent. So friendly and yet efficient. They brought our food quick and they were busy. From Bellingham WA and ate here last night. Food was bland, I had taco and enchilada,the cheese on my enchilada tasted like cheez whiz,my husbands fajitas were cold and tasted like chili powder. There was black cob webs hanging from the blinds and the place was generally dirty. Will not eat here again. read more

Their Carne Asada Burrito is terrible. Where's the BEEF? They put some kind of beans in with it to take up space for lack of meat. The size of it is a joke. I'm not kidding, it's like a hot dog rolled up in a raw tortilla. I always judge Mexican Restaurants by their Carne and this place had an epic fail! Go somewhere else. read more
