This place is a gem! We have been looking for the perfect spot to get food before or after we charge at the Chemult Supercharger and this is it! The food is authentic: everything tastes like it would if you went to your abuelita's house and she served you food. We discovered this spot in April and ate our food so quickly that I forgot to take any photos or leave a review; that said I did think to pick up an extra order to eat once I got home after dining in, it's that good! This is a mom and pop place owned and operated by a wife and husband and their adorable son who sometimes helps take orders, bus tables, and bring out the food. Soo I'll start with the good. The food! I got three tacos: 1 adobada, 1 carne asada, & 1 carnitas. I should've gotten all adobada because that was bomb. Highly recommend if you like gristly meat! I also tried a few bites of the torta (also with adobada), and that was delicious too. The horchata was pretty decent. And getting chips & salsa before our food came out was a huge plus. Ok, now the bad. The server, an elder white lady, was racist. We were a group of 6 (3 couples), so she asked us about splitting our checks before taking our orders. She assumed the 2 Chinese people in our group were together, the 2 white people were together, and 2 Indian people were together. We explained who the actual couples were, and she got our tickets wrong 2x, again putting the same-race people together. It's like she couldn't comprehend the possibility of interracial couples. Then, when she brought our food, she didn't bring one of the tacos we had ordered, and when we said we had ordered another, she immediately responded, "No you didn't," and left it at that. Our service was the worst I've ever experienced. The waitress was sweeping by our table while we were eating. She was yelling at a younger girl (she knew) for at least 5minutes straight. I had the Red Tres Chicken enchiladas with rice and beans. It was very good considering I just finished driving 10 hours. Holy delicious tacos. Wow. I stopped here on a whim during a long road trip with my kids. I honestly wasn't expecting much so I was absolutely blown away by how insanely delicious the food was. I ordered three tacos and a side of rice and beans, and my kid ordered a side of rice and beans and tortillas. he blew through his plate and then took my side of rice and beans and ate them. I didn't even care because I was so happily distracted by the delicious tacos. And the bottled hot sauces on the table were so absolutely delicious.
