For sweet, I love the cream cheese, apple, and cherry. For savory, you can't go wrong with the sausage kolaches. Pro tip: if you ask, they'll warm them up for you, which makes them even better. Even when the line wraps around this legendary little store, the service is impressively fast. The line moves quickly, so you're never waiting as long as it looks. These are easily the best kolaches I've had in Texas so far, and I don't see that changing anytime soon. Expect many more future stops from me.

The cake tasted just as great as it looked and at a great price, highly recommend them. 4/17/2020: I wanted a custom cake that I could drop off for a friend since we can't currently celebrate their birthday like "normal" due to social distancing rules. I messaged Doolee's via Facebook with the idea for a Tiger King themed cake and they sent an invoice I could pay online without ever going in, such a simple process! Unfortunately when they collected, it looked more like a standard rectangle than the brick she sketched out, the words were poorly done - some illegible and they were inconsistent heights. It looked like an elementary aged kid had wrote the letters and we ended up buying sprinkles to try and disguise the poorly written, very amateur words. The person picking up the cake couldn't get ahold of me when they did because I was on a plane, and when I called back to express my disappointment I had to leave a message because they were closed. 1 week later and still no phone call back. The ONLY thing that makes this a LITTLE less annoying is that the cake at least tasted good - snickerdoodle and chocolate. I would avoid unless you're buying something they already made, because the skill and customer service level was lacking, and clearly they don't care to make things right when they underdeliver.

Really makes me wonder why cream cheese isn't used in more savory kolaches. Outside of that one they have a wide selection that has consistently provided hits when I try something new. The bread quality is really good, and they don't skimp on the meats either. I will say their savory quality is a touch higher than the sweet, particularly on the bread, but the sweet are also quite good and have a crazy array of options. I think this spot is super overlooked and is well worth giving a try.
