Jalapeño Cheddar Bagel (homemade) with a pumpkin latte

Unique coffee shop located in downtown Corsicana. They offer coffee and tea as well as homemade bagels and sandwiches and soups. Their next door boutique store has a unique selection of home goods and women's fashion and accessories. They have a few tables inside and have a couple tables outside in front. The staff is very friendly and they make great coffee drinks. I definitely recommend trying a homemade bagel (jalapeño cheddar is a good choice). Support your local coffee shop if local and if you're not local, it's a great place to stop for a caffeine fix on your way through town!

Timbers is a great local family owned shop located in downtown Corsicana. Whether you're shopping, have a sweet tooth, are hungry, or you're just looking for some caffeine to get you through the day... this is the place to go! It is a family friendly coffee shop with many options for you and your kiddos. I have been a barista here for many years and I have never loved a job more! The owners are as genuine as they come and I love all of my coworkers. Try it out if you're ever near by or wanting to have a little fun outing with some family or friends.

When I picked it up, it did not look like my inspiration pictures. There were purple flowers on the sides with pink one (no purple in the inspiration pic), no pearls, no vintage lattice work-just pipped the flowers on the sides with green stems (no stems in the pic) and the top writing. I was disappointed. I asked them to include blue flowers to balance out that it felt a little too girly, and they went back and added them which made it look better. I am not sure if the inspo pics got lost in the shuffle or if too much creative lee-way was taken but either way, I felt a little let down but was not going to let it ruin my day. However, on the drive home I still felt like it was pretty, but just not what I had in mind. I decided to call Bittersweet which is local to us and ask if they could add a few elements like the lattice and pearls. Faith was so kind on the phone and told me to bring it in being also clear that they aren't gluten free. I understood, but since we don't have true allergies I told her I was comfortable with them fixing it. It would not medically harm anyone if there was cross contamination. When I got there I showed her the original picture and sent it to her personal phone. Later I went to pick it up after taking my little to lunch, it came out it and was FANTASTIC! They added all the elements it was missing that I wanted and loved. It still doesn't exactly match my pictures but it looks SO cute now and I am very very happy! When I went to pay, she told me to just go enjoy my cake and that they were happy to help. THIS is how you win business, friends!! ANYTIME, I am ordering goodies, back to school treats for teachers, holiday yummies or cakes that aren't for my GF kids, I will be getting them from Bittersweet!!!! Thank you, Faith!!!

We've wanted to visit the Magnolia Silos in Waco for a while now and so happy for the chance. The drive to Waco was just under 2 hours from Austin. We stopped at this cute & quaint bakery after visiting the Silos & before heading back to Austin. There is a charming area to the side of the building with several tables covered by umbrellas & surrounded by potted plants. It was too hot to sit outside! The interior is small but nicely decorated. There was a line but it moved rather quickly. The young lady behind the counter was sweet & helpful. We ordered a chocolate cupcake & a lemon lavender cupcake to go. It was packaged in their signature container. The cupcakes were both so good but the Lemon Lavender was a favorite! Both were very moist & flavorful. We wished we had ordered more!

Since Magnolia is such a brand, they could easily get away with fairly middling goods, but it's nice to know that whomever is in charge of desserts is a Type A kind of person who shall not abide crummy treats. My giant cupcake was the kind of good where I kept nibbling from it all day long, and the next day, I was sad that I hadn't bought another. The friend I was with had gotten a cupcake, and even though she isn't usually into cupcakes, she said this convinced her otherwise.
