Nice Theater Good Movies Great Prices This theater is always $.25 cents cheaper than Mansfield! I cant figure out why... but either way, the theater is clean and the movies are good. The popcorn is always fresh and if you join the email program they will send you discounts to your email every Wed. This saves you a lot of $$$. The staff is very compitent and clean. This is my favorite movie theater to visit in the Duncanville, DeSoto, Cedar Hill, Grand Prairie area. It is clean and well kept, the service is good, the selection of movies showing is good, and I've never encountered a problem with the sound or the screens. What more could I ask for? read more

I'm not a huge fan of Cinemarks; but if I do go to one, I go to this one. It's in my area and they do a pretty good job of moving the crowd along. However, it's super stuffy in their theater and very humid. But other than that, it's not the dirtiest theater I've been to and that's definitely a relief. read more

Great customer service today. Everyone was helpful and very nice from ticket guy, concessions, and person taking tickets. I went in with my 3 kids and my niece. It was not very busy. I ended up having to take my littlest one out of the movies due to he was very fussy it was his first time. My oldest was with the other two so they could finish the movie. We played in the arcade area, talked to the concession stand employees. Who were very friendly. Even the person who sold us tickets was nice and gave me a tip about Tuesday's we have a big family and that is a great deal. The only thing that is good about this theatre are the occasional good movies that are shown . The ticket counter is outside ... rain ,sleet,hot, cold... you will stand in line OUTSIDE to buy your tickets . That actually would be ok , if it weren't for the fact that , even though there are 4 ticket counters , usually only 1-2 people are selling tickets . Both of the ticket Kiosk are broken outside . 2 days ago we went and waited 15 min to buy tickets . Only one girl selling tickets !!! I even went inside and told the manager if anyone can help her since the line was long . No one ever came to assist with ticket sales.Once inside we stood in line for popcorn 20 minutes on a wall to wall popcorn lined floor. This place was filthy . Short staffed . This place is low on quality. There were 15 in line to by tickets and one person selling tickets. Took lots of time. I get inside and there are 18 people each in two lines to get popcorn. I gave up. The seats stink like sweaty people. I am not coming back here. read more

I arrived 15 minutes prior to the start of my movie and due to standing in line for snacks, I still missed the previews and opening credits. There were only two lines open in which both started at the registers and ended at the entry doors. I was also told that I wasn't able to purchase the advertised free popcorn refill as they were out of stock. I usually have gray things to say about this location. OOPs!!! Had a problem visited the Cinemark 14 in Cedar Hill, Tx to see the new "Selma" movie. Our theater # 10 was cold as the North Pole ...No Heat. During Show I went to Concession and told workers at stand they called Mgr on radio and told him, no change when I went back in. After show ran into Asst. Mgr told him about my experience and he said they had heater up. But he was going to work on that right now. Not good we got ID but that's not the issue the issue was that the couple in front of our group looked younger and were not ID. When asked why we were all being ID she replied by saying it's the policy and everyone is being ID at this time. The people in front of us went through with no showing an ID. read more

First time here and the customer service was BAD!! The only one with customer service skills was the guy selling the tickets and that's cause he was still in training. The guy taking food orders took a while to come to us since he was worried about getting his nachos opened before another worker saw--- I'm assuming he wasn't gonna pay. Then after he came to us we told him we wanted a Number 1. I was digging in my purse for my card and then ready to pay I had to wait for the person behind me to get their stuff even after I had already ordered. So he basically ignored us. Overall the young girl manning the box office was extremely helpful, courtesous and very cheerful. The manager who apparently was inefficient, allowing staff to play video games instead of manning concessions, and was very rude to a woman in front when asked to speak to a manager. I wouldrecommend retraining managers who act this way or replace them. read more

A group of us ladies were in town for a retreat and had time to kill so we tried a movie here. We were pleased with our experience. The place was clean (including very nice bathrooms), theater wasn't too full, friendly staff, and comfy seating. We came back later the same weekend for another movie! The only thing that keeps this place from 5-star is it has a little bit of a stale smell in the theater rooms, like the building is older. It's very mild and barely noticeable to anyone else in my group. read more

The theatre is nice on the outside and inside. It was generally clean and nicely kept. Came here to watch Daddy's Home. Got popcorn and the blue icee. The popcorn was fresh and not too salty. The theatre had stadium seating. The seats were comfortable. I had a good experience and would definitely come here again. read more

Worst experience at a movie theater. Waited over 5 mins outside in 93 degree heat. Once we got to take it counter was told that I would have to purchase 2 additional tickets for my 2 year old twin boys ( who by the way dont sit in there own seats) I told the girl just that and she had her manager "LUNA" come to tell me that their policy was I had to purchase tickets whether they sit in the seat or not they're being charged to view of the movie. I drive 8 miles away to grand prairie Where I was allowed to purchase 3 tickets in where my boys sat on my and their sister's lap through the WHOLE movie. Will not go to this theater ever again and will drive that 8 extra miles to not only purchased tickets inside out of the heat but to not be hassled! read more

Went last night to take my kids, 6 & 2, to see Toy Story 4, horrible - most worse experience I've ever had!!!! Theater was filthy upon entrance. Have pictures!! Popcorn all over lobby floor and counter!! Shelves not stocked with candy!!! Trash/napkins & straws & wrappers all on lobby floor!! Seats not labeled correctly or visible!! Caused a verbal altercation with us and other guests. Manager was notified and did nothing! My kids & I missed a good 30 mins of the movie during the verbal fight. Soda was watered down, couldn't get a refill because stands closed. Never again will we return to this location!! read more

Slowest service ever! If you're planning on snacks before your movie, give yourself PLENTY of time! We were the fifth in line and waited more than 20 minutes for popcorn and soda. If my boyfriends daughter hadn't been with me, I'd have walked away. I've never seen people move so slow in my life. read more

The worst customer service ever. They sold tickets to us and the theater was basically full and it was four of us. Instead of management checking they sent us back outside to change tickets to the next available show in the cold. It took Michael 30 minutes to change out the tickets and Don Davis was very rude as he interrupted me talking to another manager and threaten to send me away as trespassing after already purchasing tickets and waiting in the cold. Very sad when people in customer service don't know how to actually perform the duties of their job. Had no problems with this theater. Many places to park and didn't wait long for a ticket or popcorn. Concessions are expensive but everyone knows that going to a theater. There was someone actively cleaning/picking up trash and popcorn which looks good on the business. We were in theater three and it was clean and nice. I will return to this Cinemark. read more

Went for a Thursday matinee & was very impressed. We arrived late but there was no line, the staff was helpful & we immediately found out seats. We loved the lounge chair/recliners for seats! I hadn't been in a theater that had such comfortable seating before so it was a treat. Not many people were there so my husband & I had plenty of room & the seating was organized well so you wouldn't have to look around the tall person in front of you. Everything seemed clean including the bathrooms. The only complaint I could find was the bathroom was out of paper towels & one of the hand dryers was broken. One of the most clean well kept theaters in the area. The settings re not bad it is like stadium seating it has different levels going way up. The only down side of the theater is they could serve better food, like burito, or tacos. Chicken wings would be nice. read more

We to see a matinee screening of The Perfect Guy. Couldnt enjoy the movie for the people behind me talking thru the whole movie. Talking to the screen etc. I wanted to give them a piece of my mind when the lights came up but they all had gray hair so I just left. Probably havent been to the movies in ages. The ticket elderly man acted hostile towards me and made a scene in front of all the customers because I wanted to make sure the safety of my 10 year old kids came first as I stood by the towards the entrance and bathroom. I went to the theater in Cedar Hill to purchase $400.00 on one gift card. I asked the manager if he could give me the special that they have -buy a $35.00 gift card and get a $5.00 card good for the concessions- and he told me I had to buy 11 separate cards to receive the special. I asked again if they could just give me the $400.00 on one card and the accompanying number of concession specials as it didn't make sense not to. He again refused and I told him I would go elsewhere. He said "Thanks for coming in" (and, yes, with an attitude) I went to the theater in Grand Prairie and the manager there met my needs with a smile and COMPLETE gratitude for me spending that amount of money. If I were the manager's boss in Cedar Hill I would be livid that he allowed $400.00 to "walk out" and go on someone else's P&L. I would send him to a business P&L class and a customer satisfaction course. VERY BAD BUSINESS and for that reason I will not support or use the Cinemark on Uptown Blvd. in Cedar Hill Texas- (and YES-the card was for MY personal use for the year-last year I purchased $250.00 on a card at Cedar Hill and they DID honor the special). I am the director of sales and service for the largest carpet cleaning company in the metro-plex and I NEVER would have let a customer walk away (especially when it costs less to comply with the request-instead of having to activate 11 different cards-waste 10 of them-and have additional labor costs). read more

If I could rate the theater a zero I would. This was the worst theater experience ever. When we got there, there were hoodlum teenagers on the back row that you knew were not there to see the movie. Soon more hoodlums arrived to join in the disruptive group already there, being loud and obnoxious. We relocated from our ticketed back row seats down to the middle area and could still here the hoodlums on the back row. I had enough and went to get the security and manager. The manager came and I guess told them to settle and that last about until the guy left. Additionally there was another group down in the front section being equally disruptive. Another patron got tired of that group and summoned the manager for them. Several others went and complained and eventually both groups were escorted out but not before numerous trips of them parading up and down the steps. Needless to say the movie was less than enjoyable. Then when we left there was a group of 25 or 30 of the same hoodlums out in front of the theater calling each other "hoes" and almost in a riotous state. It didn't seem to be of concern to management or security since they were no where in sight. I really didn't feel safe walking by the group with my wife. This is one theater that my family and I will not be patronizing and I will let everyone I know, know about the experience and encourage them to not go there. read more

Took the kids to see Monsters University at the Cinemark in Cedar Hill. I absolutely hate the set up and seating. There's only one entrance and exit, and one would think after the "Batman Premiere" shooting people would be nervous being seated in an environment with only 1 exit. The seats were dingy and my kids kept falling through the seats. The bathrooms were soooo gross. Not sure why this place seemed incredibly dirty for a movie theater but they really need to revamp it. read more

I'm not sure what the criteria should be for a good movie theater but as long as it's clean and has fresh popcorn, I'm sold! I use to frequent this theater often and my experiences are pretty consistent. I like that they have an arcade so if you're super early for a movie showing, you can play a few rounds of Time Crisis. Some of the arcade games are missing a controller or stick. Lame. The popcorn is always fresh. The theater rooms are not huge but they are elevated. read more

The actual theater is clean, comfortable, and stadium seating. The ticket booths are frequently backed up and they only have one ticket booth open. The concessions are nightmarish. Tonight I waited in line for 25 mins for popcorn and drinks. They have other concession stands but choose to not open them up. Tonight there were several plastic stacking bins piled up on the counters. Be prepared to wait for your snacks or bring your own. read more

The theater is nice however it doesn't offer military discount as the other Cinemark in DFW. If the military site lists Cinemark theaters offer military discount then this theater should not be excluded. read more

Wow...where do I begin? This Cinemark is beyond amazing and everyone that I have ever encountered there is super friendly. Getting my movie tickets is always a pleasure! The young ladies are always smiling and so polite. Oh, I think I have ate everything they have to offer there but I must say their popcorn...oh my God...is off the CHAIN! Always fresh and tastes great! I never have to wait long to be served and it's always a great experience. The bathrooms has always been perfect and the entire theater is so clean! I have never been to a movie theater like this in my entire life. I hope this theater stays open until the day I die. I highly recommend this theater to anyone that is tired of dirty movie theaters and poor service. You've made my day Cinemark 14! :) read more
