It has been many years since I had been to the Valley View Cinemark location. I went here on New Year's Day for the Stranger Things finale. The tickets were about what movie theater tickets cost, ours included some concession credits. I got a large blue Powerade. We went to the side concessions away from the main concession line, which had a significantly shorter line but was not nearly as stocked with concessions. Just fountain drinks and popcorn. In the theater, the seats were full of room for you to lounge. The seats we had the buttons to recline which could be a problem if you're prone to falling asleep. The screen is huge! The angle of view from the seats we had was perfect to me. The sound was loud and very clear with the sound coming from each direction. All staff we interacted with on entry and exit were all smiling and wishing us all safe travels back with it snowing like crazy earlier. I am more likely to make the drive down to this location. This is how you would want to experience a movie in a theater. Good work Valley View Cinemark!! read more

I recently visited Cinemark Valley View for a very early Wicked For Good screening. Amazon periodically offers paid early screening tickets to Prime members. I have been to this movie theater numerous times over the years, and found that it hardly changed over the years. It remains timeless. AMBIANCE: The movie theatre is spacious offering a lot of pre-movie activities. There is a sit down cafe area to start nibbling on your popcorn. There is a small arcade with claw machines, and games for solo or groups. They also usually have a display for new movies where you can take fun keepsake pictures. I found that quite a few couples and friend groups checking out the amenities before the movies. The movie theater rooms are certainly outdated considering other cinemas in the area. The recliner chairs operate slowly and appear worn. My least favorite part is the lack of row labels. The row labels are on the floor/carpet. It makes it impossible to see during dim lighting before the movie and should you need to leave during the movie. It's just simply not practical. CONCESSIONS: Concessions go above and beyond with food and movie merch. For instance, Wicked performance featured toys, souvenirs, and even pink/green popcorn. The concessions are overpriced as they are everywhere. SERVICE: The service here is very subpar. Employees mumble to customers and it's really hard to decipher what they're saying. I had this experience during initial entry and at concessions. They are very apathetic or even borderline rude. You don't feel welcome here at all, the service is pretty bad. PARKING: There is a huge parking lot at this movie theatre, larger than other. The parking lot is well lit so you feel reasonably safe. In all honesty, I won't be sprinting back to this movie theatre. I was just purchasing tickets to the next exciting movie release, this movie theatre was the last on my list. I purchased tickets to another movie theatre. My main reasons are that the movie theatre is very outdated and service is terrible. My husband and I have been coming to this theater monthly for the past few years. We love going to the movies and they do such a great job here - the theater is clean, the staff is efficient and friendly and the selection of movies is spot on. Grateful we have this place so close by and there are some great restaurants nearby to do a meal beforehand. Overall great experience and helpful that they have the nice reclining chairs and options for 3D! Definitely check this place out. read more

I don't remember what I watched then but let me tell you about my recent visits. Here are the visits I do remember: - 2 August 2023: BARBIE movie (outstanding and delightful // broke all the awards and records) - 22 October 2024: VENOM: THE LAST DANCE movie, special invite-only screening (excellent, action-packed, and funny // MARVEL does it best) 3 January 2025 (today): WICKED movie (amazing, enchanting, fun, and thrilling // I can't wait to watch Part 2) Tonight, the first Friday in January 2025, I saw the movie WICKED with 4 friends. One friend booked our tickets in advance online. We all had a blast and everyone should go see the movie. The RECLINING SEATS are a game changer because you can stretch your legs and back. For a tall woman like me, this is an added bonus when coming to Cinemark at Valley View. My friends bought popcorn, one got pizza, and one got chicken fingers or something to that effect. PARKING + FOOD -- This theatre is big including the parking lot. The concession stand is expensive just like all other theaters. I never buy anything so I can't comment on the food. I have definitely gotten popcorn before and maybe some hot food too such as either chicken fingers or pizza but nowadays, I don't buy anything. The hot foods that I've gotten in the past have tasted fine. I normally have a little snack in my bag plus a water bottle but don't tell anyone, haha. I definitely will be back to visit again. Customer service has always been friendly and helpful; although, I've never had any pressing questions. I normally like to stay on my side of town when I go out to a movie but tonight, 3 January 2025, I came here since my friend's sister lives in Willoughby so this movie theatre is closer to where she lives. TIP: Book your tickets online so that you can pick the seats that you want before all seats get filled. You don't want to end up sitting too close to the front. The seat were the coaster ride's Fun. I love the seats, They Were moveable rideable like a roller coaster.

This Cinema has been in Valley View for sometime and this is my first time visiting. It is easy to find with plenty of parking. The concession area is large with many food and drink options. Like most cinemas now they also offer alcoholic options. We purchased tickets ahead of time and were pleased with our seats. The seats were comfortable and the theater was a good size. We had a little trouble locating our row not realizing the row letter was on the ground. The numbers kind of faded into the carpet. This is the only real sign of wear I noticed. We saw our movie in XD. It was worth the extra. The picture was amazing and the sound was great. read more

We went to the 12:20pm showing of Lilo & Stitch. Three of us cost $21. The reclining, cushy recliners are awesome. Movie was great and the employees we ran across were very kind and helpful. Didn't visit concessions because we'd already eaten beforehand, but I thought it was very cool that they had a secondary concession area further in the theater. I love going here for film. So many options and it's a few minutes from my new house. Only down sides are, the amount of kids who feel they need to talk or movie hop during a showing. Disturbing the entire audience. if you're there on the weekend, they have a group of people trying to make you sign up for a new gas bill company. They barely take no for an answer, and pester you when you're just trying to wait in line to get something before a movie. Even trying to trap you in conversation when you're late for the movie. First off I just want to say that me and my family have been going to this theater ever since I was little. I viewed this theater as the theater to go to for movies because it really felt like an experience, a true trademark movie going feeling. Over the past couple years it's been going steadily down hill. The clientele and whole atmosphere in the theater is becoming ruined, it's very ghetto. There is no way I would ever go there by myself at night, there may be one cop posted outside but that doesn't make me feel any safer. My sister, mom and I went to go see the latest conjuring movie and we went to the 9:30 showing. I was so excited, night time would make the scary movie feel more immersive. Sat down in our seats and waited for the movie to start. People started coming in, the overwhelming smell of weed started. People were still coming in and out, constantly moving...ok that's fine it hasn't started yet. Movie starts and people are still coming in, people are talking and laughing amongst each other. Now people are coming in with their flashlights on to find their seats at 10:15 pm, well after the movie started. People infront of us got up and switched seats a couple times and stood there looking at their friends...like please sit down. Then my sister complained, guy came in and of course the minute an employee comes in the whole theater stops talking. He walks out and the continuous obnoxious talking and comments resumes. My mom goes and asks someone else to come in....they never show up. I was so angry because I paid a good $50 bucks for these tickets and that's not even the food included, and the experience was ruined because some obnoxious rude people decided to act like the theater was a bar or their own living room and not considering other paying people were there. I don't know if I'll ever be back which sucks, if I do it'll never be at night. read more

I tried looking up a nice movie theater and failed. So I asked a local, and they gave me this one. As she said "Best one and it's outside of Cleveland"(suburbs), It wasn't bad and a 4 star for Cleveland. So there's your sliding scale. Your local movie theater, like mine, it is better. So the 4 is a Cleveland 4. It sits by itself, a restaurant close by but isolated, really. Reclining seats but no little swivel table to put your popcorn down. I rate movie theaters very simply on the experience from the movie itself. The popcorn, drinks, and food are good but not great. If you plan to get anything, I would just stick with the popcorn. Worst run business ever. The movie is supposed to start at 10:30am but the doors are still locked. We stuck our heads in a delivery entrance and the manager was rude to us and then threw us out. They finally opened up the doors so we were able to get our ticket at 10:32. Then the stupid handicap doors don't work. If they can't get their doors open by 10:30am then they shouldn't schedule movies for 10:30am. It's been like this for several years now. Currently watching a rated R movie, Evil Dead, with a row of children (5-12 year-olds) around me. It's awful, and disruptive. I'm surprised there isn't anyone checking the theaters. It was loud, and we missed the beginning if the movie, 'cause everyone was talking. Awful place. I do not recommend. Wow! Visiting my sister's family for Thanksgiving and we all decided as an outing to get out of the house to quit eating. Forget Black Friday shopping. Bah Humbug! It's Grinch time! We had in our party of nine people, ranging from age 7 years to 88 years old! This theater is huge! Large lobby that leads to big concession stand. They check tickets when you go the actual section. There was a large selection - popcorn, Icee, sodas, candy, etc. They also offer adult drinks! The seats are very comfortable - like Lazy Boy chairs; spacious and the legs go up and you can move top back some too. Much better than any airplane . Love how each row is on a higher platform so no worry about someone blocking your view. Temperature was great too. There was a video game room which my nephew must frequent so as he played along with several other "kids" though many are adults, we went to the other side of the Cinemax where there's options to purchase food, ice cream, etc. I like how this place had the lobby which was indoor to keep from the elements, and you can purchase your tickets (though ours were ordered online with seats selected), and then you go further inside for what is more typical theater lobby with the concession. I'm not much of a moviegoer as I prefer pausing the show to use the restroom and get food, yet this was a great experience. Since my brother in law purchased everyone's tickets, I don't know about price but he has the monthly pass so . . .he clearly enjoys this place! read more

Only Valley View and Tinseltown have the best movie viewing experience in the area. CINEMARK in Cuyahoga Falls also has XD but their screen size is much smaller and is more like the side of the digital screens at Valley View and Tinseltown. So, because of the XD Experience combined with the large screen size in the XD theater I am giving Valley View (and Tinseltown) 5 stars. Like Tinseltown, the seating in the XD theaters is very comfortable. The seats have four way adjustments and plenty of room to spread out. Except for the last row and the first row and on the extreme sides of the theater their is not a bad seat in the house. Wherever i sit I deal like I'm engulfed by the screen and fully immersed in the viewing and listening experience. The sound is crisp, clear and amazing. Only sometimes is the volume of the dialogue hard to hear and needs improvement. The theaters are usually very clean and CINEMARK goes through great efforts to make the theater and lobby safe and clean. The only improvement I would suggest is better policing of the masking policy (I write this at a time in which they have a mask policy). In every movie I've seen during the time of a facial mask policy many people do not put their mask back on after finishing eating or drinking. read more

Girlfriend and I went to see the new Jurassic Park movie tonight for a last minute date night since both of us work about 50-60hrs a week. This place has gone down hill severely in the past several years. Extremely long lines at the concessions. They only had 2 open by the main entrance. A lot of workers on their phones or air pods. We made our way to the ticket usher and then to the side concession. The workers at the side concession were horrible. They didn't give a rats ass. No hello, no thank you, nothing. Fountain drinks were severely watered down, and popcorn was luke warm. When we got to our theater (#10), the seats were badly worn. Row G seat 11 was worn down to the stitches. The crowd was unbelievable. Half the theater wouldn't shut the hell up. Someone brought young kids and a baby to a late night screening. The teens/early 20yo's next to us decided to have a full blown conversation and check their phones every 30 seconds. Thank god they left about an hour in. Then you had Mr overly loud talker who I'm sure you could hear over on Canal Rd. If you need a police presence at a movie theater then something is terribly wrong. We also got a free show after we walked out watching an officer searching and arresting someone in the parking lot while their friend danced next to the car. With movie theaters struggling due to an extreme amount of streaming services now available this theater is a prime example of why they are a dying breed. Next time we'll drive the extra mile to go to AMC in middleburg. The employees are 10x better, not overly crowded and for the best part, people DONT talk during the movie. They have enough common sense to keep their mouths shut, especially after paying $8 for a large drink and $5 for a half filled box of candy. read more

I came here last week when I was in town visiting my parents. I would say this is about your typical movie theater these days. It has the recliners which are comfortable. I'm not a big fan of them only because you have to pick out a seat which means if you don't pay extra and buy online, it's hard to get a decent seat. Luckily I came to a matinee on a weekday, so that wasn't a problem. This is a pretty big place with a lot of theaters, so you're pretty likely to find the movie you want playing here. It's well kept up and clean too. Overall, it's a nice theater and I would come back. read more

I am sick and tire of coming here. Their food is always old and stale and when request a fresh pizza hut pizza, they keep telling me to get one out from under the light. I have done that before and the food is old and stale by the time we get it. You are not going to force me to eat and buy old food. Stop giving me lip and attitude whe. Ahhh, the reclining seats, good movies, the wine...yep, I said wine. Pair with some popcorn and you have dinner and a show! My husband and I have been coming here since it opened when we were teenagers. It keeps getting better. my favorite things at this theater are fandango events! They have old movies replayed on the big screen (coolhand luke, my fair lady, dirty dancing) and they also have stage productions on screen like ballets and operas by Wagner, etc. definitely something I recommend you look into! read more

am beyond upset tonight! My family took my Grandbaby to see Moana 2 for his 6th Birthday today. I purchased 5 tickets through Fandango, then we spent $77.80 at the concession counter on snacks. We got to our seats and there were teenagers in our seats. We asked them politely to move, they split up and 2 sat in the 2 open seats next to me, the other 4 sat in the row behind us. As soon as the movie started, they started laughing, talking on the phone, cussing. They got up and walked out the theater, 10 minutes later they came back, sat on my purse and oxygen tank, knocked over my popcorn and drink. They did this through the entire movie. They ruined my Grandbabys entire birthday. We spent over $150 for a memorable night, and it was ruined. When we were leaving the theater, the manager and several police were rounding up about 20 teenagers and kicking them out. I'm not sure what can be done, I would like a full refund, and bring my Grandbaby back another day to actually watch and enjoy the movie. I suffer from a critical illness and cherish the time I have left with my loved ones...tonight was ruined! read more
