I am writing to express my deep disappointment with the complete lack of service and support I received from AMC management. I mistakenly purchased a ticket for the wrong theater and only realized the error upon arriving at my intended location. When I asked the staff there for assistance, they told me I would need to drive 30 minutes to the other theater in order to resolve the issue--despite the fact that I was standing in an AMC location and had simply booked the wrong one. I asked if they could call the other theater or help process a refund, and they outright refused. I then attempted to contact the correct theater myself, but by the time I got through, the movie had already started and the online portal no longer allowed refund requests. When I finally reached a manager, I was told there was nothing he could do unless I physically drove to that location and might be eligible for a comp pass. When I asked if the passes could be mailed to me instead, I was told that wasn't possible and that the general manager--who wasn't available--would have to make that decision. This entire experience has been incredibly frustrating, inflexible, and frankly unacceptable. As a paying customer, I expected reasonable support for what was an honest mistake, not to be met with roadblocks and indifference at every turn. I am requesting a full refund for the unused ticket and a formal acknowledgment that this situation was mishandled. I should not be forced to jump through hoops or drive long distances to resolve something that could have easily been addressed on-site or over the phone. read more

So I live very close to this theater and it used to be my go to theater. But the bad etiquette of theater goers has forced me to go to Cinemark In valley view instead. Every single time in the past couple of years I went to a movie at ridge park square there was at least one person scrolling through their giant phone with no regard for how it is a distraction to others trying to watch a movie. And the person is always holding the phone up high with the screen on in a dark theater. It's just unbelievable how ignorant and entitled some people have become. I'm almost to the point of just waiting for movies to come out on streaming instead of going to the movies. The only reason Cinemark is better is due to the unique design of the theaters. They have a half wall separating each row that blocks the view of the row in front of where you are sitting. That way you actually can't see people in front of you or their giant phone screens. Until theaters figure out how to deal with the bad etiquette of some of the moviegoers they are going to continue to loose business. read more

I visited this movie theater and bought my tickets online, having never been to this theater before I didn't know what to expect. Immediately I was disappointed by the concessions area. Selection was fine, however the high school kids running stand were just completely lacking customer service and grunted while I ordered. On top of that, it's absolutely filthy. Popcorn everywhere, general stickiness from who knows what, and the sauce area where they keep the napkins was just a mess. I will say though, this was the first movie theater I have ever been to that had Banana flavored Icee, so I will give them a star for that! Don't even get me started on the status of the restrooms. Clearly if they can't bother to clean up where food is served, that can give you an idea of how bad the bathrooms are. The reason why this review is three and not less is because the theater itself wasn't too bad. Reclining seats, which you need to reserve, and the picture wasn't too bad (don't expect anything insane like IMAX of course). Not sure if I'll back at this location, but it's the closest to myself so I suppose out of desperation I might be if I really want to see a movie ASAP. read more

A few months ago my friend and I came here to see a film. Long story short: the inside of the theater was so unbelievably hot and the screen made a sharp, high-pitched buzzing noise that was really distracting. If it wasn't for the fact that the movie was already playing on limited release and our options were slim to see it, we would have walked out. We really wanted to see it. The shrill noise dulled out a bit after getting used to it, but I had a terrible headache later that night and regretted it. When I went to go notify someone, we couldn't find a staff member. There was approximately one young guy working at front-of-house, and my lord, I felt terrible for him to the point I wanted to start helping him! He was taking tickets, handling walk-up complaints about theaters and dealing with people asking him miscellaneous questions. Get this poor boy some help! I think this location is just too chaotic for me. I love going to the movies, but I don't know if we'll be back. read more

This is the last time I'll go to this location. Rude patrons bringing toddlers to movie, on their cell phones during the movie, talking during movie. People in our theater didn't wear masks during the movie. No one checking in movies to make sure covid compliant patrons. We've complained to the theater company n no contact back when it was promised. These behaviors are worse than other AMCs in the area. No electric signs outside each theater and nostaff around to confirm theater number. Sad. read more

Ridge Park AMC Theater has gone completely downhill in the last few years. It's always dirty, the seats are ripped, just a mess! You would think during Covid they would step up cleaning protocols but that's not the case. I would use the bathroom in the parking lot before I would step foot into their restrooms ughhh. I finally tried another AMC location. This place was packed on a Saturday night. We bought our tix online and walked right past all the peeps getting them that night. Quick service at concessions. Huge parking lot. Many nearby establishments to get a bite before or after the show. Theater was clean. Several people had issues with their reclining seats not functioning but it seemed theater staff came right away to fix the problem. read more

Don't you just love that brand new theater smell? I don't know how long this AMC has been around for or whether it's undergone any renovations recently, but it looks and feels as good as new! What appeared to be a compact, traditional movie theater by the looks from the outside shopping center, turned out to be quite spacious and modernized once inside. Theater screens were large and the sound quality of the speaker system was clear. The wide reclining chairs were comfy and well below eye-level of the screen. At one point I reclined the chair so far back that It reminded me of field trips to the planetarium in elementary school. I also thought that the red and black color palette and decor in the screening rooms gave the individual theaters a VIP-style, red carpet vibe. read more

My reclining seat didn't work nor did my moms who came with me. Then I get out of the movies to find a nice little note on my car window that I will attach below . Basically the jerk who wrote the note claimed I parked to close to their car , left a note and keyed my car. My car was parked in the yellow lines . They didn't even have the balls to say it to my face the cowards. I was parked in front of Michaels and there is a TJMaxx and other little stores in that lot so who knows what store they were in. I'm checking to see if there are cameras and if there are then those jerks who keyed my car better hope their plate or faces aren't showing. Will not be returning to this place. read more

Bought my tickets online, got confirmation on my phone, got to the theater forgot my phone, couldnt get the seats I paid for, so bought ANOTHER two tickets so as not to disapoint my company, and now I find it is virtually impossible to reach someone at amc to get a refund...( unless your a media person) yes it was my fault for forgetting my phone, but I find it very Frustrating that buying is easy but getting a refund is so hard....I dont believe Ill ever use amc online buying of tickets ever again. read more

Met a friend here to catch the new Goosebumps movie with her & her son. This theater is never my first choice, because the bathrooms are disgusting, & the seats look worn. Sure, the recliners are great, but they didn't clean between showings of the movie, because there was trash in the cupholders. And, my friend's son warned me the bathrooms were filthy when I got there. But, when you gotta go, you gotta go! I was glad it was $5 movie night, but if I could have paid less for it, it would have been better. The theater was freezing! I had a winter coat on, & I was still cold. And, I know they can't control people from using their phones or bringing infants / toddlers to the theater, but those scenarios ruined the movie experience for me. And, what's that smell in the theater? I was in the same theater the previous week to see Hocus Pocus, & I noticed the funky smell then, too. There is another AMC on the Westside of Cleveland that doesn't have issues like this. And, if I had to choose between the two AMCs, I would go there. But, this was convenient for her. read more

I have a new baby, so going to see a movie is a luxury. This past week I received a free screening & made arrangements to spend a few hours alone, enjoying a movie. I'd been to this theater several times before - it's not the AMC closest to me, but since it was a free screening I made the trek to Brooklyn. In my experience with advanced screenings, you need to arrive an hour beforehand to get a decent seat. So that meant I had to get to the theater early & I didn't have time for dinner. Fortunately for me, movie theaters serve food now! Options include sliders, chicken tenders, fries, hotdogs & your typical theater fare (popcorn, nachos, soft pretzels). Unfortunately my first choice, chicken tenders, weren't available. They were out. So I decided to try the sliders and some curly fries. Seeing the equipment they use to prepare the food, I was a little nervous. Instead of having an actual kitchen to prepare food, there were large metal conveyor belt type contraptions right behind the counter. This completely removed the mystery of how this movie theater was going to prepare burger sliders... and not necessarily in a good way. Nevertheless, hunger prevailed and I went to my seat with two cardboard boxes (sliders in one, the other brimming with curly fries) & a large beer. The theater is what we've come to be spoiled by: large leather recliners. While it was dark, I did notice the recliners are starting to show wear-there was a tear in the leather of my recliner. Otherwise the seats were just as comfortable as ever and I enjoyed my movie experience. I'm surprised to say, the sliders were actually pretty good! They were basic cheeseburgers without any lettuce or tomato. The curly fries were abundant and hot. I was pretty happy with this meal, despite my reservations on its preparation. My beer was also quite lovely, served in a tall plastic cup. So why the 3 stars? So far it sounds like a nice movie-going experience! Complete with a meal & a drink! Well, here's the thing... the theater was dirty. Real dirty. Not just the occasional stale popcorn in the actual theater, but clogged butter in the butter dispensers, dirty carpet in the lobby, grease all over the ketchup bottles. The bathroom was a disaster & as evidenced by other yelpers photos, it must be like that a lot. The bathroom was also completely out of soap & something was wrong with the bathroom door. It didn't soft close and made me jump out of my skin every time it closed with a hard, loud thump! Honestly, if it weren't a free screening I wouldn't return to this AMC. There is a lot of room for improvement in both service and atmosphere. You can do better, AMC! read more

There are so many things I love about AMC, so I made a list: 1. Love the recliner chairs at AMC. They are so comfortable, I feel pampered going to the movies. 2. The popcorn is always great. 3. AMC has a VIP program that allows you to skip the regular line which is a nice perk. 4. There is a full bar. While I have not tried anything from it, it is a nice option for some. 5. It is a smaller venue. You don't have to go wandering down long hallways trying to find your theater. 6. Lastly, they have some enthusiastic employees. One staff member wears a princess tiara. She is very bubbly and brings a smile to my face each time I visit. read more

AMC Ridgepark is a decent theater. While I have never had an issue with the staff, the theater itself is lackluster. I recently went to go see the Sonic Movie, and when I got to my seat, the armrest had red duct tape covering a hole in the leather. I used to honestly LOVE coming to this AMC, but not as of late. First of all, during Avengers: Endgame, during the final scene, our theater's sound cut out. We were then told to evacuate and given a free movie ticket, even being promised our food would be refunded. We got two free tickets, but when asked about the food, we were asked to leave and the manager even threatened to have the POLICE remove us, even though we weren't doing anything wrong. (Manager by the way, didn't get her name, but was a short, dyed blonde haired girl with glasses.) Another complaint I have is about the Hispanic woman, (also did not get her name because AMC refused to give her name to me. Bigger woman with reddish hair, accent I'm assuming a Hispanic background) who ran the ticket counter. She was very nasty to my boyfriend and I both times we have been there together, and we are millennials, so we are polite and understanding when it comes to mistakes and what not. But there was no reason to treat us the way she did. She was extremely nasty and talking over us, treating us with absolute disrespect. Lastly, the bathrooms in this theater are DISGUSTING. Lack of toilet paper and supplies. Nobody seems to bother to clean it, as you can see in the pictures below. Do not come to this theater. You're absolutely better off going to Cinemark, Regal or quite frankly ANYWHERE else. Disgraceful. read more

It's like Beyonce was like, "Oh hey, AMC--let me upgrade ya." How I missed this theater renovation is beyond me. I've been over-paying for mediocre movie experiences until one magical day... That day was about a month in a half ago when the most handsome guy schooled me on what a theater experience should be. From the ticket purchasing process, the concession counter and bar, to the comfortable, recliners you sit in--holy ish. How did I not know about this?! This is coming from a gal who had actually been to this theater before, but years ago when it was still just a cruddy, below-average place. Sticky floors, outdated equipment and the usual concession snacks. What it is now is a complete 180 from even the "better" theaters I thought I was visiting locally. **Cough, Valley View, cough, cough** Honestly, I'd even skip Crocker Park. Now back to the details. You don't have to wait in line to grab a ticket. Nope! Just head to one of the many kiosks to grab your assigned seats. Yep--you get to pick your seats! But don't worry if you have to sit right next to strangers, the recliners are huge and there's ample space between patrons. Another pro-tip: popular movies and/or popular movie-going nights call for pre-ordered tickets. Don't say I didn't warn you! Can we talk about the full bar? I didn't partake the first time around, but I'll certainly be taking advantage from now on. They also offer up traditional snacks and "movie foods" with a few extra specialities you wouldn't expect. And then, you sit down. YES. So much yes. This is pretty much what a theater/movie experience should have been all along. So glad AMC caught on (finally). read more

I had heard about the renovation and frankly had a chance to go and experience it for myself. It's fantastic. Fully stretched out and comfortable reclining seats. The bigger the movie opening you have assigned seating. Prices are as reasonable as any theatre so I can't complain the rising cost of entertainment. It's just a different experience what we have been used to when it comes to watching a movie. Try it for yourself and you'll see what I mean. read more

This is my favorite movie theater in the area. Sure the food prices are high compared to other place, but trust me it's all worth it. If you want to save a buck go during the week when tickets are less than 5 bucks! I've been here countless numbers of times and the one time I did have an issue the manager gave me a pass to come back for free! This theater is awesome!! They have leather reclining seats that could almost fit two people. Ok maybe two small people, point is they are way more comfortable than your standard movie theater seats. You can practically lay down in them! Can you tell the seats are a big part of the experience? Additionally, you pick your seats when you purchase your ticket. The next thing that sets them apart from most other movie theaters is the bar. Yeah, you read that right. They have a bar with beer, wine and liquor. Not a huge selection but surely enough to get you through a few hours at the movies. Not sure on the prices because bar was closed when we went since we went for an early viewing. Also not sure what time the bar opens. Snack bar is pretty standard. Though I always feel this food is way overpriced. Ticket prices are actually very reasonable considering what this theater has to offer. I would be inclined to say ticket prices are cheaper than other theaters like, say, Cinemark. Who does not have a bar or recliners! It's right off the highway in a shopping center. read more

Great updated theater! This theater is much nicer and cleaner that it was in the early 2000's. It now has reserved leather recliner seats. A full bar! The leather recliners are great. No question about that. The price you get for AMC is stellar, they now offer you a slew of food options and alcoholic beverages. This review has absolutely nothing to do with theaters itself. Every time I go to Ridge Park I find myself annoyed by someone in the theater. The last time was our fault. The lady wanted to see the new J-Lo flick "The Boy Next Door" and we were in a theater of teens who just turned 17 or 18 and talked during the whole movie, checked their phones and texted, and were just disrupted. AMC stationed workers at the door to make sure underagers didn't make it into the theater, but I'm surprised they discontinued the practice of ushers walking around the theater. Rarely does the walk-around do anything, but it's nice to know there's a presence. Especially because it's a prime locale if you're of the impression of getting frisky in a darkened theater. There's been two other films that I've seen here with someone that doesn't know general ethics of being a movie theater patron. In Los Angeles, some theaters have ushers introduce themselves before the show, and let you know they'll be around if you need anything or want to complain. This would probably be a good practice with AMC that only has 6 theaters in the building. Especially with this location. read more

Nice leather seats in this theater! It's always our first pick location to see a movie, since the middle arm folds down and makes a nice "loveseat" for my husband and I to share! Good image quality on screens too. I've seen poor 3-D in other theaters, but the 3-D here looks great! read more

They are just finishing a huge remodel and its so nice. The leather automatic reclining seats are wonderful. The new paint and tile brighten the place up. It use to be so dark and cramp, but its much more pleasant now. Its not a large theater and the new seats cut seating down by around half. I'll be going here instead of my regular place, cinemark valley view. Even the new theater at great northern mall I don't think is as nice as this one is now. Only problem was that when leaving, the one exit door on the left by theater 1 would not fully open cause it hits the sidewalk outside. read more
