We've been to this theater twice - and both times we had a pretty good moviegoing experience. The Cinemark Movie Club is a program I can't recommend enough to movie-lovers. For just $10 a month you get one free ticket, member pricing on additional tickets, and 20% off movie snacks. If you don't use your free ticket, it just rolls over to the next month. We try to go every other month, so we can use two tickets at the same time. Our first visit was on a busy Saturday night to see Marvel's "Eternals." The concessions lines were packed with families - but we didn't have to wait in line for more than 10 minutes. The people at the counter were friendly and quick: my fiancé ordered one of the personal pizzas, and they had it out to him in just a few minutes. The theater itself was clean - although the restroom was pretty much what you'd expect on a busy Saturday night. At least they were stocked on toilet paper and soap. Our second visit was on a Monday night for Valentine's Day to see "Spider-Man: No Way Home." The theater wasn't dead by any means - but much less busy than our first time here. The concessions folks were just as nice as they were before. The chairs in the theaters are all updated to recline. There's also a tray across every seat, which makes snacking handy, but can be a pain to move if you have to stand up. I'm sure we'll be back here for the next big movie premiere. I also noticed one of those fancy movie theater bars as we walked in ... I'd definitely be inclined to check that out on our next visit. read more

Went to see Black Adam with son on 11/19 with my oldest son. It was a great movie but the surroundings are a MAJOR problem. 1. The people behind us talked 30 minutes into the film. 2. Many people were on their phones during the movie. One person was voice texting someone several times. 3. A family brought in a bag of food and was using the flashlight on their phones to search for the food each person ordered. Does it happens at other places? Definitely so. Should someone check in periodically to potentially reduce this behavior? Absolutely. read more

We like coming here as a family. I have the Cinemark membership that allows me to buy our tickets online, no processing fee and 20% discount from the concession. It's still pricey, but the 3 of us shared a medium popcorn, but our own drinks. The sits are comfy, it reclines and heated back rest if you choose on turning it on. What a great place for date night! I knew we were going to see Jurassic World but I didn't know we were going to sit in the "VIP" over 21 seats, it was a wonderful surprise. So the seats are huge and the arm rest in between the seats comes up so you can get closer. Each seat has a little table that pulls over in front of you and has a service button you can hit to get the server to help with whatever you need. I had the grown up grilled cheese with tomato soup. The sandwich had spinach and tomato on it, the cheese was very nice too. Anyone who knows me knows I have a soup obsession, so it's no surprise that I loved the tomato soup! I also stole a few cajun fries :) they were yummy. All around I am very happy with our date night tonight and the movie was great. I never wanna sit in the normal seats again hahaha. read more

I really liked this theater! I've been to the Florence Mall numerous times and have always noticed the theater but this was the first time I got a chance to check it out a couple weeks ago. I know this theater has been around for a while, but Cinemark has done a really good job keeping it updated and up to date with all the newest movie theater technologies. The most notable is the reclining seats. They are so comfortable. Enough so that if the movie doesn't keep your interest you could totally doze off and get a good comfortable sleep while your there. The seats here all have trays connected to them. If you're eating then it's really convenient, if not you can easily push them aside. Or if you feel like resting your arms on them and they work for that too! The staff I have encountered have been really nice. The lines move quickly (granted, both times I've been here have been to the early bird shows and, at most, I've had a couple elderly people in line in front of me). I haven't tried anything from their concession stand so I can't directly comment on that, but if it's comparable to other Cinemark concession stand I can tell you that the hot dogs and nachos and cheese are awesome. Speaking of the early bird special (from two paragraphs ago)..it's a really good deal to get there for the first showing of the day. The tickets are dirt cheap and there is rarely more than a couple people in the theater with you. If you're like me and absolutely despise having to deal with others in the theater with you doing stoooopid things like texting or talking or..you know..breathing too loud..then this is a definite plus. VIP Section is highly recommended, even with the new seats. The service is always impeccable, seats are incredibly comfy and the food is great. It's rare that I find myself in the Florence area, but a friend I happened to be in the area and decided we wanted to catch a movie. We popped into the theatre and walked up to the counter to purchase our tickets. I'm pretty sure the only words uttered to us during the transaction were "What seats do you want?"as she motioned to the screen in front of us. I know that this type of transaction is brief, but she made it clear that we were an inconvenience to her evening. A little customer service refresher at the ticketing counter could go a long ways. It's great that all the big theaters have the big comfy seats now...though, my seat seemed a little "off." The footrest didn't come up high enough and it almost felt like I was sitting on a downward slant. Don't get me wrong, it was still more comfortable than old-fashioned movie seats, but also not as comfy as some of the other competitors in the area. Would I come back? sure, if I was in Florence... but I don't think I'd go out of my way to hit up this theatre. read more

Both times I've been to this theater, it's been a very good experience. The seats are comfortable, bathrooms were well maintained, popcorns great. They only have Coke products for drinks but I personally don't mind that! The staff so far has been amazing and patient with as me and my fiancé are still figuring out how this place works. I just moved to town and my theater back home is difficult to beat, but this place definitely is on par with the one back home in Michigan. read more

Prior to the movie starting three young boys (pre-teen) entered the theatre and sat next to my wife and I who were watching the new Indiana Jones movie. We were celebrating our 16th wedding anniversary. As the boys entered they were yelling and laughing and chasing each other. Out of the entire XD theatre, they decided to sit in the chair right next to my wife and I. The smallest of the 3 boys sat just to my left in F14. The child's language was nothing short of vulgar. As a combat veteran, I was actually shocked. I asked the boy if his parents know he speaks like that. He looked at me and said "I'm a good child". I didn't revisit the topic with him. During the previews, the three boys were loud, vulgar, disrespectful and a general nuisance. They continued when the movie started. After the third time asking them to please be quiet during the movie, I got up, left my wife and addressed the matter with two different managers. The first manager told me that there is nothing she could do but sit and try to observe the behavior. Kind of like a police officer does as they sit next to the stop sign to see how many will dare to run it. The second said that he would handle the matter but never did. In fact, nothing, absolutely nothing was done about the boys behavior and they continued to annoy both my wife and I during the rest of the movie. So, I will be cancelling my monthly membership and will never, ever step foot back inside of another Cinemark for the rest of my life. Fortunately, there are two non-Cinemark theatres close to me so not a big deal. And after I make my rounds here and on Yelp and social media, I am going to notify the more than 100 Veteran Service Organizations in the country and have them post this in their newsletter that reaches the more than 18 million veterans across the United States. Cinemark's policy on allowing underage youth to run wild in their establishments is unacceptable and disrespectful to those who have to put up with this type of behavior. If it was just me and it was not my anniversary, I would have let it roll off my back. But this was an important event that was ruined by the ridiculous policies of Cinemark. I don't even blame the children. They are just kids. I blame their parents and Cinemark for putting me in a position to have to babysit these three unruly kids during a time I should have been enjoying time with my wife. read more

Also on the website the theaters appear backwards. When purchasing tickets I thought I chose the back row when in reality it was the front row so I am now breaking my neck to look up at the movie. Very disappointed in the customer service with this company. I am a movie club member and I bought my tickets on line for a group of seven. We went to see the movie and they were closed. There was a note on the door saying they were closed due to an electrical issues. I never received a message that they were closed in my email. I am part of another companies reward program and the must have had the same issue because I did receive a message from them saying they were closed. I wasted gas and time coming to a theater that was closed. The manager said my tickets would automatically be refunded. I waited until almost a week for the refund to show up but it never came. I drove back to the theater and they said there was nothing they could do I had to call customer service. I called customer service four times before I finally reached someone. While you are on hold they say someone will be with you in six minutes. Every time I call I wait at least 20 to 30 minutes on hold to finally speak to someone. When I finally reached someone they said they would refund all my tickets. That was on the 30th. I waited until the 7th to call again because I was only refunded for three of the seven tickets purchased through the movie club app. Once again after several attempts to reach them I finally spoke to someone. The lady said she would take care of it and asked if I wanted someone to call me or email. I requested a call. But she could not resolve my issue she. I never received a phone call. I called again on the 13th because I did not receive a call but. I let customer service know all the trouble I have had getting my money back. Never did anyone ever apologize about what all I went through just to get my money back he just said he would add points to my rewards. I have not received a call back from anyone like I requested.nor have any points been added to my account. If I had bounced a check they would come back on me with fees but they mess up and I get nothing not even an apology. I am very very disappointed in their customer service team! read more

Coming from Baltimore, really loved the environment of this theater. A lot to do even before your show... Full bar, food, etc., and the rows are super roomy - even if reclined, plenty of room for people to move up and down the aisles. read more

This cinema is DISGUSTING. We showed up at 10:30 for an 11:00 movie (AM). The garbage was overflowing in the parking lots and front of the building. They would not let anybody in until 10:50. The bathrooms, floors, seats, and counters were filthy. The place looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks, if not months. Considering we're currently in the middle of a pandemic, customers would hope to be in a clean and sanitized business. This couldn't be further from the truth at Cinemark Florence. And people wonder why theaters are failing and closing across the country. read more

If you're debating between movie theaters I would heavily lean toward this one. The theaters themselves are always clean, the staff is friendly and you have the option of the VIP seating upstairs which is a nice little break from your average movie watching experience. If you do choose to pay the little extra for the VIP it is totally worth it. You can order dinner (which is reasonably priced and pretty tasty) and have it delivered right to your recliner-esque chair along with some cocktails. The only real downside here is the sheer volume of people that choose this theater, you need to plan ahead and leave a little early if you're picky about where you sit, but that goes for most theaters I would think. read more

Theatre is nice, clean, great service, one issue... there is one bartender that does not want anyone in the bar! I only post this after THREE (3) different visits over the last 3 months! The brunette, female bartender looks at every person in the bar with contempt, it's almost intimidating to approach the bar. If you want to completely enjoy your next "going to the movies" experience, I recommend splurging on the premier seating at the Florence Cinemark. That way you can enjoy your movie and lunch/dinner at the same time as the movie. The club sandwich is good, as are the fries and Caesar salad. They serve both iced tea and alcohol! The wait staff are friendly, attentive, and efficient. The best part is having a comfortable seat far enough away from others that no one is coughing on your neck or putting their feet on your seat. The only problem with going premier is that you'll never want to return to regular seating. read more

​ I've always heard that you should pick you fights wisely so here goes. I haven't been to the movie theatre in years, perhaps even a decade. I recently thought I had found a new love for them when I saw an offer for a movie club that provided some menial rewards, so I signed up. It didn't take long for us to realize that they have sold us a program that they cannot fully implement, they have to call a manager each time you ask for the discount, hardly makes it worth it, but perhaps they are hoping we don't bother, not sure. We have seen 3 movies in so many weeks, all in their VIP lounge, which was a delight to me, something new I had never experienced, to have someone bring my refreshments to me instead of me having to get them, now that was something I could get used to! We even dined in the restaurant, ordered drinks in the lounge, good food and good service except, and here's where the rub is...if you go to the late movie, they shut down service about 45 minutes after the movie previews start, so sorry about your luck if you want a popcorn refill, but the real issue for me was when I discovered that I really missed my Closed Captioning on my home TV as I'm (I hate to admit it) hearing impaired, I do wear hearing devices and although the sound quality in a theatre is great, it still doesn't help me with the understanding part of it. So The first movie I didn't need it at all, everything was fine, the second movie I didn't understand anything at all and ended up setting outside the theatre for the duration, then lo and behold, I discovered on their website that they offer CC service, they don't tell you how to get it, they just say they offer it. So my partner and I are seated (again in the VIP section) and I ask the attended that came to take our refreshment order about it, and of course she knew nothing at all about it, but will check with her manager and get back with me. 15 minutes into the movie, she never comes back, so I get up and go out of the theatre and ask for a manager and speak with the VIP manager who explains to me that I have to go downstairs to the box office and request one. Down stairs I go, of course there is a line for the box office, I wait in line and although, embarrassed about it, I request one from the clerk, give her my ticket stub, she writes down some information, then hands me this 3 foot long device and asks for my ID, but fails to tell me that she plans to keep my personal identification as bounty for a 3 foot long device that will only work in their theatre and I would have no reason to steal. I decline, very upset about it, I return to my movie, now 30 minutes into it, finish out my movie with as much comprehension as possible, then take up the matter again after the show, this time with the general manager who informs me basically (and I'm paraphrasing) too bad so sad and I advise him I plan to no longer spend my money at his establishment and we part ways. Tomorrow I will cancel the Movie Club membership and will no longer patronize this business. I can't be the only one that has experienced this with them, not sure how they can stay in business, but this is deplorable. Pay-per-view makes more and more sense to me. read more

I have been here many times before. And service has always been great and the accommodations awesome. Well this time it's different. I haven't been here in a year and apparently they are lacking on upkeep. I always sit in the VIP section with the nice leather like seats. Well I arrive and half the chair is missing the vinyl coating. There is food and crap in the seat. And the chair is pretty much broken down. I'm sorry but if you expect me to pay more for a seat, the accommodations need to be presentable. I will not be back until they replace these seats. Just gross. read more

I write this review as a simple update to a previous review when this place was listed as Rave. For reference, I'm adding that review below. Since it became Cinemark, I've been just as pleased. I've not been back up top to the fancy seats since the change, but have been here several times in the normal seats. Twice in the last year there has been an irregularity with a show. In both cases, Management acted quickly to resolve the problem AND gave us vouchers to come back for another show. Two weeks ago, at Thursday night premiere for Edge Of Tomorrow in 3D. the PC was locked and manager explained they didn't have proper code to unlock it (perils of digital cinema). He gave us vouchers AND invited us to stay for the 2D showing that was to start in 10 minutes. These vouchers were for any show, any seat, any time, VIP, 2D, 3D, whatever. I could have used a little more volume in the Edge of Tomorrow showing. It might have been a function of where I sat (Left rear). This theater is also offering special events. I attended a Fantom Events show last month (Shatner's World), and they are offering classic movies during weekdays this Summer (Raiders of the Lost Ark, The Godfather, & more). Also offering Kids movies in the morning. The bathrooms are clean. They seem a little small, but there are several available. Usually there is one very close to the theater. ******** [Reprint from when it was Rave] Hi or Lo seats, it's all good. Whenever it is possible, We like to hit the deluxe seating upstairs. Wife says "They'll bring me unlimited root beer. What's not to love?" In fact, she is disappointed if we go and the movie we want to see is not available in the upstairs. Stumbled onto the upstairs by accident one night when we could not get into a restaurant before our movie. I had club sandwich and fries. Wife had a grilled chicken sandwich. Both tasty. Not horribly overpriced. It is weird to sit so far back from the screen. It is hard to really get lost in the film, but that is the tradeoff for dining at a theater. The majority of times I attend the regular seating. The place is clean, comfortable. No funny smells. Once there was a medical emergency in the showing. Staff was quick and competent and called the lifesquad. Asked audience to go outside and wait. Readmitted us and gave us a coupon for another show: any ticket, any movie, anytime. If there has been a change in operation since they were acquired by Cinemark, I have not noticed. read more

Well just to point out how rude and inconsiderate the employees are here, we purchased two tickets to a 10:20 showing of Mortal Kombat and were just barely late and they had locked the front doors. When staff had come out we were knocking on the doors and they just stared at us and ignored us. They didn't even come over to see if we needed anything.
