Watching The Dictator with friends. This is a good addition to the A.V. It's a nice, new theater and they recently upgraded to one IMAX screen. You don't have to drive down to L.A. to see stuff in 3D imax anymore. They have a decent selection of food and very comfortable seating. Lots of theaters so you can always find something you want to see at a reasonable time. The prices for food are movie theater prices. You just have to expect that and sneak your own snacks in if you don't want to pay $20 for a drink and hotdog. Overall, though, it's a good experience. They keep it clean and nice. read more

Show up 30 minutes early, If you want popcorn. You are forced to wait in long lines for snacks. Sub par efficiency at concessions keeps this place from being a good theatre. Comfy, reclining seats are excellent though. read more

Will not go to this Theater again. Bought tickets for the 11:30am showing of Dune. At 11:40, no previews showing and the screen was not working. Checked with an attendant and they informed management. There was something wrong with the scheduling program that regulates all the projectors, so it was down and it was affecting one side of theaters. They rebooted it and the movie started at least about 10 minutes in, no previews. The sound was off, and the movie froze 5 times while playing and the house lights came up twice. Not an enjoyable experience at all. Complained to management and they just waved it off as technical difficulties and that "there was nothing they could do." Totally ruined seeing a movie I waited a long time to get to view. Would have been nice if they sincerely apologized or offered a voucher to see the movie in full at another date. Everything was pretty much easy going at this theater. The theater we watched the movie in only had a few rows and you can lift your feet up with their comfortable leather chairs. I liked being able to select the seats when purchasing tickets. It was also clean-ish. The workers are also on point. One of our chairs wasn't working (the foot part that comes up that helps you recline wasn't working). A worker helped us out and had a good sense of humor about it. It seemed to be an easy fix by plugging the plug back into the electrical socket. Sometimes, jerks like to charge their phones and don't plug it back in so others have to go through the trouble of figuring out what's wrong. Anyways, I'd come again. Didn't try out the food stand or arcade but all look good from what I can observe. read more

I love going to the movies, usually go to the 22 because of the food options they offer. Wish this theater offered semi healthy food or more food choices. Hope they start working on that as well, there are many people who love going to the movies and want to grab a healthy snack. So thumbs down because of that. About the good: The chairs are good, kinda comfy but if it is a long movie might get uncomfortable, (that happens anywhere I guess). I have always find it clean. I like the theater but I don't like the management and their policies.. For one, I had accidentally got butter on the outside of the bag and I asked for another bag which they wouldn't give because they keep inventory of their bags. They tried giving me a reusable tray which is kinda gross in my opinion.. Secondly, I bought tickets through fandango and wanted to return them at the theater for some passes I could use in the future and the manager said I could only exchange it for a future time. I didn't know what future movie I would be able to see so I thought it was rude that he wouldn't just exchange some passes for me. The theater said to contact fandango but fandango says to contact the theater. The theater needs to take responsibility since I am going to see the movie at your location, it doesn't matter that fandango is a third party. read more

Went to see Aladdin and had a great experience. Recliners are so comfortable and the same price as regular admission. My 4 year old was so excited to see the movie and we asked if there were any pop up Aladdin displays she could see. Mr. J overheard us asking about it and said he would find one for us. He went out of his way to turn around a display that had Aladdin on the back. My daughter was so happy and it made her day. I really appreciated the kind, extra effort. Super excited Deadpool fans shot down at the window... because we had kids and it was after 6pm. Im highly upset about the situtation because im a hard working pregnant parent of 2 with very little support. I dont get to take ANY DAYS OFF because i have another kid on the way and im going on bed rest very soon. I took me and my family on my ONLY DAY OFF IN 2WEEKS to see OUR FAVORITE ACTOR PORTRAY OR FAVORITE COMIC BOOK CHARACTER and got denied at the window because " It was after 6pm and we are not allowed to let kids in a R rated movie after 6pm " I was completely devastated because we got all dressed up save or money and were so excited about the movies. Then before actually leaving the front window i asked to speak to a manager who told me the same thing. Which made it an even more worse night because he couldnt help at all. I find a couple of things wrong with this kids cant be in a movie theater after 6pm thing: BIG REMINDER THAT CINEMARK OWNS MOST BESIDES MAYBE 2 MOVIE THEATERS IN THE AREA, so it was like i could just go to another theater... 1. Cinemark is the only theater in the area that does close a 8pm 2. Cinemark is the only theater that has this rule 3. The kids are my kids and i feel as if you are telling me how to raise them by inforcing this rule 4. As i just said i dont get to take many to ANY days off so for me to get denied at the window in once again devastating 5.This rule loses you money from all the single parents that work a 9 to 5 with no babysitter there are a lot(not a single parent) 6. And its just insensitive to people that have the same situation as me little to no family help and just wanna have some fun. Now with that being said i do understand your rules and respect them but there has got to be some leeway for people like me who doesnt get off work until after 6pm. Me and family came with a plan: 1. I came to the last veiwing of the movie for the night 2. I checked out the seat availability to make sure it wasnt to many people viewing at night 3. I made sure my kids were full feed and ready to go to sleep, so they wouldnt disturb any movie experience 4. Your typical movie theatre...clean, nice, friendly staff. The only thing to do in Palm Dale when visiting my granny! I must have missed it and didn't pay close attention when I looked the movie up online but the movie time I picked was for 3D...make sure you double check before driving all the way over. I'm not a big fan of 3D I think it's slightly overrated...they also charge you a higher price. read more

I used to really enjoy coming to this movie theatre pre-covid, however, recently this place has not been to the level it once was. Not one, but two times I've been here for a movie and the theatre has been completely disgusting. Both times I've have to ask the attendant for assistance cleaning the seats and arm rests. There is popcorn all over the floor. And when you ask staff if it has been cleaned, they'll swear up and down it's been clean. I don't understand why I have to request for the seats to be wiped down--this should be a given. So one star for now until they are able to get it together. read more

We came on a Friday night and the person checking tickets at the front can't even handle all the kids and the raunchy ghetto people coming in and out. It was mostly kids teenagers coming in and out causing a ruckus. Fighting and making scenes in the front and inside the theater. The manager was trying her best to keep everything in tact and handling all the issues, but it wasn't enough this theater needs Secuirty and maybe even police escorts to make this a better situation. Where to start. The GOOD: the new & improved leather/heated recliners are amazing (and I've yet to find a broken seat in any of the theatres). Also, using the Cinemark website/app to pick you seats & skip the line make for a much better experience! However, the new larger recliners have made for significantly less seating in every theatre. ALWAYS get your seats online! Showings sell out very easily. The BAD: this theatre is ***ALWAYS*** under-staffed! There is typically 1-2 ticket booths open on every given night/day. The lines are long & slow, without exception. The line for refreshments is far worse. On a Fri-Sun, expect a 20-30 minute wait in line. Again, you may have 2-3 registers open out of a possible 8 (?). Last time I was there, i believe I counted 9 employees behind the counter...with only 2-3 of them working. The rest stood around doing nothing. This is EVERY day! Management should be fired. I love this place but we got a hair on our popcorn and it grossed me out! So I asked if I could have another..now I have to say the employees are really nice and very attentive so he gave me another. Now I knew I was risking getting another batch because the person that helped me was a guy with no hair and the hair I found was long and red. So my husband and I go on and eat our second popcorn well almost done we find another hair. It grossed me out so much. It is 4:30 in the afternoon the line for food is literally out of the door and there are only two people behind the counter, not counting the young lady behind the liquor counter. Theater was clean, staff was a bit slow at the counter even though it was not crowded. Great theater for family entertainment. Unfortunately, I never thought my kids would experience racism from a group of 3 African American girls in which I believe they snuck into the theater. The moment they arrived they started making racist remarks toward Mexicans and Caucasian. I have always showed my kids to be the better person and let insults come in one ear out the other. Unfortunately this girls would not stop. I wished I had heard them so we could have reported them and get them kicked out of the theater. It's too bad that that In 2022 we have to face racism. I have been here a few times and my experience was good. However, last Friday, 6/20/14, I was there and things started out well. About 30-40 minutes into the movie, I'm eating popcorn and I felt something hit my shoulder. I thought my earring fell out, so I touched my ear...earring was still on. I still felt something on my shoulder, so I grabbed it thinking a piece of popcorn popped onto my shoulder...the popcorn felt squishy and then it moved! I looked down at my hand and in between my fingers was something black and it moved. I threw it down and needless to say, I was a wreck the rest of the movie. I kept my feet up and I wouldn't lean back in my seat. I have no idea what kind of bug it was, but I'm disgusted. read more

We refunded our tickets because there were no more good seats left and the new showtime we chose ONLY had shitty seats left so we had to wait an hour just to go to ANOTHER showtime with shitty seats. They should let you check seats before you refund because the only reason we wanted to go to a later show was for better seats. Waste of time and money. read more

Place seems a bit crazy with so many movie theaters and so many people that visit it, before complaining about cleanliness ask yourself if the people before you had manners and cleaned up after themselves. We go to this theater often and it is good. Popcorn is fresh and yummy. Their butter machines don't always all work which is annoying if you try one and then have to go to the other but not the end of the world. The theater and restrooms are typically clean. The staff is always helpful and friendly, even when my ticket is buried between my napkins, popcorn bucket and soda. read more

I wanted to see '1917', but missed it at the IMAX. These types of films normally only feel right on that screen. However, I saw it this morning at Cinemark Palmdale and the experience was awesome! The digital picture was clean with film like colors and motion. The sound was outstanding with great separation of frequencies, sound field, and dynamics (and I was worried about that). The electric reclining seats are roomy with big walk ways in front of them. The arm rests also go up if you want to get closer. Food service was fast and fresh. I would not hesitate to see a big screen movie here again. They've really made changes that matter. -Napy read more

I love the reclining seats with heaters because I always get cold in movie theaters - but not in this theater. Tonight I and four friends went to a Fathom event movie called Skid Row Marathon and there were some technical difficulties at the beginning of the movie, so one of us went to advise the theater staff of the issue. They quickly fixed the issue and we watched the movie, but we were secretly kind of unhappy about the lack of sound for the first few minutes. As we were exiting the theater, a very professional, well-spoken gentleman named Sergio Ramirez came over to speak to our group. He was very kind and apologized for any inconvenience that we experienced, and gave us rain-checks to come back another time! Kudos to our Palmdale Cinemark for having such wonderful customer service and for having well-polished staff members like Sergio Ramirez. read more

Movie experience and the theatre is nice, but the concession stand is a completely different story! All Icee machines were broken, no cheese for the nachos, no ice cream in the freezer, no salt for popcorn, shall I go on?! Eat before you go or you'll be sadly disappointed with the concession stand and their ability to keep things stocked! And by the way, the concession stand is always short staffed, so if you do want whatever they have left, be sure to get there early, as you're guaranteed a 15 - 20 minute wait! read more

The worst experiences in a theater yet. Went to see Incredibles 2. The movie was good but couldn't hear 90% of the dialogue. The volume on the sound effect was so high and drowned out all the words. I wish I could of heard the words. I wish it had sub titles. Now I'm more deaf than when I came in there. My whole family left with raging Migraines and we feel like we came off a rollercoaster. SO DISAPPOINTED in the theater. We sat in the nice lounge chairs and that didn't even help, that's the only thing to stop me from giving the theater a 1 star. read more
