I forgot my autistic daughters noise cancelling headphones and she was about to have a panic attack over the level of noise in the theater. I asked the first employee I saw if they had anything that could help my situation and he was able to get me a pair of headphones that virtually did the same concept as cancelling. Always a good time coming here to watch a movie. The chairs are very comfortable and they always have the most current movies. They keep theaters clean and are quick to respond to disturbances like: noisy people or noisy children...so be mindful of others if you are noisy or have children that are. One thing that could be improved is allowing the purchases of tickets and concession items at the same time (at the concession stand). Took the Mrs. last night to see Transformers in 2D. Really even in 2D, the movie was great. the new stadium seats are COM.....wait for it...FY. The popcorn was fresh as can be and they slathered it with butter (which I asked them to do). They didn't skimp either. Other theatres just kinda put a few squirts and call it good. +1 for that :) The audio of the movie was impeccable. It wasn't ear bleeding loud so that I worried about my eardrums bleeding during the movie, and not so low that I had to turn up my hearing aid to hear it. The video quality was superb. No messing up mid movie or anything to ruin the experience. All in All, when in Redding to see a movie, this is the place to go see. read more

The theaters are fine. The employees all seem to be a few kernels short of a full bag of popcorn. They have this terrible system set up that requires people to line up in unmarked, cramped lines to wait for theaters since it seems that cleaning the theaters quickly and efficiently is too much to ask for. The guy that was taking tickets kept wandering off and apparently since I was wearing a black jacket I was an honorary employee. While I stood waiting in the front of my line I was asked at least three times what theater someone was supposed to go to or if they could go get popcorn and come back into their theater. It felt like I was on a hidden camera show. One guy didn't believe me when I said I didn't work at the theater and it wasn't until I reminded him that he was a grown adult and didn't have to ask permission to refill his popcorn that he realized I was not going to help him. Like I said, the theater is fine, just don't be surprised if the employees are as little help as I am. read more

I love this theater and love the new upgrades they've made with the plush seats with seat warmers and the ability to recline. I'm writing today, though, to say how awesome the staff there are and how friendly and helpful they are. I always receive the best service from everyone there. Today, just wanted to thank the general manager, Shane, for all his help when my MoviePass was giving me problems. He went out of his way to rectify the problem and went above and beyond what he needed to do to ensure that I had a great moviegoing experience. This theater is awesome and I love going to the movies, but it's the staff here who take it to the next level. Definitely my favorite movie theater. read more

Waited in line for 10 mins to hear that it was a cash online line and then closed it after all that. The self serve kiosk to buy tickets was down. Not sure if I would take the time to come here. At the end of the day it is a movie theater. Movies always bring us entertainment. read more

The chairs are literally the most comfortable movie theater chairs I've ever sat in. The popcorn is perfect. Just the right amount of salt and just the right amount of butter. It's so hard for me to find the perfect popcorn. I love this theater, and every time I go to other theaters, I am disappointed and miss this theater. Keep up the good work!!! read more

Not one to typically leave reviews, but this experience was just so ridiculous I couldn't leave it alone. The worker constantly came into our theatre and was disrupting the movie. They came and "confiscated" something from the row above us, but what's funny is that the other viewers caused no problems, just the employees. Anyways, not really a fan of their little "police officer"/security guard. Kinda ruins the experience of the movie. I'll just continue my business at valley 11 where they let you enjoy your movie with no interruptions. Left this on google as well, but just wanted to make sure people understand what they're paying for. I am usually a positive person, and look on the bright side, but there was just no positive attribute to this experience. read more

The theater is really clean and offers plenty of popular movies. I really like the stadium seating with seats that recline. My favorite is the XD screen which is HUGE. It measures from floor to ceiling and from wall to wall. For a great experience you should watch a 3D XD movie. The popcorn is always fresh (though expensive like any other theater) and the customer service is always good too. I recommend downloading the Cinemark app on your phone. Through this app you can put your phone on cinemode (silent) and you receive coupons and discounts when you use it. For a cheaper option you can watch some older theater movies at Movies 8 where it's only a $1 but the movies are as new. read more

Shame shame shame on cinemark management. I work for disabled clients and we have badges with the ADA act on the back stating that care takers get in to any event free of admission because we are to accompany our client. This theatre use to take the badge and let workers in but they changed the rules. A staff and I, took out clients who asked us to take them to the movies, the girl looked at us and said "pay or stay in the lobby" ..... I asked for management. He said they changed the rules. It's really unfortunate because the clients I work for like to go to events and us staff should not have to pay because we must accompany them to make sure they are safe. I prefer Anderson theatre now. It's cheaper anyway. And they give you free refills on ANY large item. read more

I love the new seats, and the fact that there is beer and wine now. I love the Cinemark app, and it's worth having the membership for me, as we go to the movies at least once a month. My one recommendation is that there be some kind of rule in place about people wearing their shoes. Today I had to sit by a family who had their shoes off the entire time, but their shoes were left in the middle of the aisle, and i watched everyone who had to walk by them trip over their shoes. Not only that, their feet stank, and that was what we smelled the entire movie. They seemed to have noticed that people were tripping each time they had to walk by, and found it amusing. What can be done to prevent this kind of situation in the future? read more

If there was a rating of zer0 stars,I would select it for this review. I've been to this theatre twice.Both times there have been nasty popcorn that tastes day old.The second time we even sent it back and got a fresh one which wasnt much better. The people in the movie theatre are rude.This was a early bird showing,mind you,so there were little to no kids present.And the movie we were watching was Friday the 13th,which is rated R,so you would expect a somewhat mature audience,right?Wrong. There were three folks in front of us who stunk up the entire place like they were either homeless or hadnt showered for a week. A girl in the very front row kept messaging or something on her phone,illuminating the entire theatre behind her. The guy directly behind me kept flapping his gums through the previews and into the opening of the movie. A fight almost broke out over to the left side of the theatres when some girls kept talking and some guy got up and told them to shut up. The above all happened on one visit,btw. So the combined small screen,terrible projection and sound along with gross food and gross people = 1 star experience read more

With the new customizations added to the theatre, brought a whole new experience of watching movies again. Movies 14 is complete with spacious seating in the theater rooms, lounge chairs that recline AND seat warmers. How cool is that! They've expanded the first concessions area to add some more to it; and the reserved seating is the best, now you don't have to worry about finding seats 1 hour before your movie starts because they show which ones are available in the app, online, and at the booth; and to top it off, the customer service is quite nice. Went to see Midway. Great movie btw. I had a problem with my popcorn. Got a medium, filled 1/2 way to go put real butter in it ,then brought it back to top off. Problem it was topped of with really tiny pieces the rest the way full. Didny notice until I got to my seat. Nibbled on wee little popcorn (that was $6.50! Movie was intense so waited to take it back after movie finished. At less than 1/4 of it gone. Wore most of that. Went to concession stand to explain, he looked at me like I had 12 heads & wanted to top it off for free for me. I wanted a partial refund. I bought it to eat watching the movie. Sucks for me, threw it away & will bring In my own next time. Not the ideal customer service, i was very polite, he just really didn't care. Thanks for expensive unetible popcorn movies 14. Totally love the new remodel, love the new XD theatre and new bathrooms, I even like the new ticketing machines that are self-serve out front. A nice, clean theatre to go to but their game room sucks, it's too small. Make sure you sign up for weekly coupons @ cinemark.com, I get them emailed weekly on Wednesdays and normally they're good for a free soda with popcorn purchase or vice-versa. Sometimes they suck and you have to buy something you wouldn't normally buy like candy or nachos but it's well worth it if you go to the movies often. read more

Remodeled beautifully! Gorgeous and spaceous theater with lazy boy , stadium style seating so even that tall guy with the top hat in front of you can't get in the way! The lobby is kind of dull and the prices could be better but over all a good deal. read more

Been living in Redding for 4 years now and was a multiple time visitor to this theatre each week. Loved it! Very affordable, all the shows, both early and late. Half off tickets on Tuesdays, etc. always enjoyed myself tremendously! Then they installed the comfortable seats which was a very nice touch. Then ticket prices raised, and I figured it was just for weekends and/or XD shows, but now I'm paying $10-$13 for a middle of the day showing. And now they removed the half off ticket Tuesday deal for only "Cinemark movie club members". Literally the most confusing and unpractical changes I've ever seen to something so beloved here in Redding. At this point I'd rather drive to Anderson and watch movies for $6 at a smaller theatre than encourage this and potentially make things and prices worse. It wasn't broke!! Alright I'm going to come right out and say it... If you think 7.50 is expensive for a movie ticket...move out of Redding. I'm serious. You think the concession prices are high? Go live in San Francisco for a year. Living in the Bay Area makes you appreciate Movies 8 and Movies 10. I normally pay 10.50-15.00 to see a movie in San Francisco. A soda is 4.00 and a popcorn is 8.00! Movies 10 could use a face lift but at what cost? I don't mind having a few creaky seats for a 3 dollar discount on my ticket. Also! Sorry, but Movies 10 needs a face lift already. The seating is old and beat down, needs to be replaced. Some of the theaters smell like meldew and urine. Here's what I wanted Cinemark movie-goers to hear from me: Dumb and Dumber To (cq) is either a movie or a characterization of the person in Texas who managed NOT to schedule "Wild" for Redding's Cinemark and NOT schedule "The Interview" (so far) which apparently is being released afterall. Why is "Wild" running in Chico and will run in Red Bluff, to our south, but not here? Dumb and Dumber To, I guess. Why is "The Interview" opening on Christmas Day in Red Bluff, according to their online schedule, but not in Redding? Dumb and Dumber To, I guess. Why can't a theater with 14 screens fit a few other films around UFC fights, cartoons and reprises? It seemed like Dumb and Dumber To ran so long that offspring of early movie-goers would have had a change to see it. Hikers and backpackers comprise a small group in any community. I'd like to believe there are others that would like to see a movie that is set partly in Northern California, is based on a national best-selling book about more than wilderness and which has also received Golden Globe nominations. Usuallly very good atmosphere, reasonably priced tickets and great movies playing, but today unfortunately i went to go see the new Beauty and the Beast movie starring Emma Watson in 3D with my beloved mother and one of my bestest of friends and the movie was supposed to start at 2:30. We sat there for 15 minutes with NO previews and the projector didn't even start running until 2:33. Very bad day at Movies 14 :( read more

This is a great theater especially since they expanded it and remodeled a few years ago. The seats are very comfortable and the screens are big with great sound. Also, there's certain movies that you definitely want to see in XD, the XD screens are like an IMAX, movies like Star Trek, Avatar, etc. are all better on the bigger screen. I like a theater that offers: big screens, great sound, good variety and selection, and overall good experience. Cinemark 14 in Redding does all of this. I love going here for all my movie needs and have not been disappointed on any visit.
