Flew all the way back to SAC drove 2 hrs here to get my son's hat and Bethany did above and beyond to find it. Thanks a lot Beth!

Ariana was the most helpful at the front desk. She was very kind, respectful, had a positive attitude, and smile. We felt welcomed and appreciated as guests. Our room was comfortable, clean, and spacious. Our children enjoyed the pool. I liked the convenience of location nearby activities for our family.

    Stains and crumbs under chair.

Upside: Welcoming, helpful staff, comp breakfast, comfortable beds, updated rooms, large heated pool & jacuzzi. Gym. Club level amenities. Restaurant on site. Close to Sundial Bridge and Turtle Bay museum. Room service. Variety of TV channels, apps. Downside: Can be loud if someone is above you, breakfast was just okay. (Guests were grabbing bread, muffins, etc with their hands because tongs weren't put out.) Dog hair, stains and crumbs in furniture, shower backed up, room not too clean (2nd floor). They charge hotel guests for parking but everybody else visiting Sundial bridge parks there, for free! Not enough luggage carts. Not enough lounge chairs, chairs at pool. Pool closes at 9:00pm. Pricey! Something I don't understand... A room here, with a king sized bed, has a sofa, a chair and table. A room with 2 queen-sized beds only has a large chair and one small table. Both rooms could have 2-4 people. Odd.

    Vomit on the wall

This hotel has potential but still has a few kinks to work out. On the plus side, the hotel is new and the staff were friendly. Those were the pros. The rest of our stay was comedy of errors: After trying unsuccessfully to get a table at their restaurant, Mosaic, we ordered room service instead and were given a 30-40 min delivery estimate. The food showed up after 1-1/2 hours. The pizzas were lukewarm and the fries were mushy. Nice. After settling in to our room, we noticed that there was dried vomit splattered on the wall next to the bed. The carpet was damp and had probably been cleaned recently. We called the front desk and asked for another room. There were no king rooms left so they comped us a bottle of wine and free breakfast. Bonus star for that, but we still had to sleep in a room with dried vomit on the wall. Upon checking out, we noticed that the hotel added a $130 pet fee for our two dogs, nearly doubling the cost of our one-night stay. This was not noted anywhere we could find on the website, not noted when we booked the room, nor noted on our reservation confirmation email. We asked the manager about this charge and were told "all Marriott resorts have a minimum $60 cleaning fee for pets" as if we should have this committed to memory. And pretty ironic considering the state of our room! Added fees should be clearly disclosed on the hotel's website and booking pages, and not buried in a pet agreement that you are forced to sign when checking in. Otherwise this is a deceptive business practice and others should be warned.

Great place and a wonderful view from the top floor. Great customer service beds are very comfortable. I enjoyed my stay when I stay in Redding or when I stay all over the country I've never been disappointed.

Amazing location with walking distance to the bridge and trails along the river. I ended up with an executive suite and it had a large living room, large patio and large bathroom. The Sheraton lounge was great for breakfast and afternoon hors d'oeuvres. Highly recommend this hotel when staying In Redding.

When your big boss comes to visit from LA, you gotta find the best fanciest hotel for him to stay. Places I stay, like the Holiday Inn Express aren't gonna cut it, compared to places he's used to staying. This Sheraton Redding Hotel at the Sundial Bridge is the best hotel in the area. Reservations went fine and check in was easy. The room was clean and nice ... I checked before he got here! ... yeah, no surprises to make me look bad! There's a fancy restaurant attached to the hotel that we might try. When he arrived, he liked the room (whew) .... so all is well. Place isn't cheap, but compared to a comparable room in LA ... it's way cheaper. Breakfast and happy hour food is included in the fancy lounge that comes with this level of room.

    Complimentary Wine and Beer.

Stayed here on a whim on a Thursday in February ~ I'm so glad I did…read more I am an In-Home Supportive Services Provider (IHSS) in California, USA. I was traveling with a client of mine who has very occasional seizures, and early on in our first morning here he had one while alone in the shower. Luckily, this hotel is sandwiched between lots of different hotels and restaurants, but more importantly, between the fabulous Shasta Regional Medical Center the proximate Redding Fire House. First Responders were on site in about ten minutes (which felt like an hour) and transpo went smoothly despite there being no elevator and us being on the second floor (the staircase has a landing and everything). Now, this is all well and good, and relatively standard if I may be so bold, but I'm here to say that the staff at the Americana went way above and beyond the call of duty. Housekeeping was in the next room when he collapsed. When I saw the severity of the situation I-in a relative panic, ran over to nearby staff to ask for help. This incredible woman, Darby, was the perfect person to help (second only to an actual first responder, RN or doctor). After calming the situation down with nothing but grace, she explained a little bit of her own history with seizures and what it meant to her to be able to help us in any way. Darby supported my client and I both physically and emotionally while he came out of his seizure and fell into a deep sleep, thank God, and she even stayed with me for a few minutes after he had been loaded into the ambulance. She and her boss, the manager Heather, and another lovely woman from the Americana whose name I never caught, were so supportive, kind and patient with me while I tried my best to help the PMs gather the information they needed about my client. I'd imagine some people had to check in or out a bit late because of us, sorry! But I couldn't be bothered by other guests after how helpful the staff was. PS . He was cared for in the nearby SRMC, a great hospital about two blocks away. He is now home and in stable condition. TL,DR Staff came in clutch for IHSS worker when senior client had a seizure in the shower - Housekeeper & management absolutely rock The local hospital is excellent!!

A bit of a weird layout with the elevators. If I had to come again for work I would only stay on the top floor because (and here's where I took off a star): I'm on the second floor and I can hear the person walking back and forth on the floor above me and the person's tv and conversations next to me. I can also hear water through the walls. That's not a restful experience! In the morning, through my front door I could hear someone's blowing their hair dry from across the hall! It was so clear I thought it was housekeeping running the vacuum. And seriously, is the person above me trying to get their steps in or what? They haven't stopped for a hour!

Our room was split into two parts, one set up with a bed and TV, and the other serving as a seating area with a couch, TV and chair. Very nice. Free breakfast really hit the spot too -- it was freshly prepared and served hot --- and the fitness room, while basic, had all the essentials. The property is a bit dated but it served us well for a one night stay.

She followed up with me on text message as to my arrival time to make sure that she would be there to greet me. When I walked in, I noticed my phone number was coded to the key pad entrance to the B&B. So cool! Janelle was there to greet me and give me an envelope with my key and instructions. I went up with her to the bedroom and needless to say, was so impressed with her style and quality that she brings to her B&B. The room seemed to be flawless in the way that she spent time picking out pictures and linens. The linens were even washed in a very nice fabric softener and didn't have that normal "hotel" smell. I was able to get the Sun Dial Room, and even though it was the most expensive, it was definitely worth every penny. There was a fresh, large bottle of water in the room with chocolates. I had free wifi and a nice flat screen TV. A jacuzzi tub. And oh, did I mention.. the best, most comfortable bed that I never wanted to leave? Top it off.. breakfast in the morning makes me giddy just thinking about it. I had french toast, a vegetable frittata, potatoes, chicken/apple sausage, fresh juice and coffee. Janelle served breakfast promptly at 8:30 and I was definitely there with bells on. Everything was served family style and while eating breakfast you are able to enjoy the company of other guests, which makes breakfast that much more entertaining. For a few bucks more, stay at this bed and breakfast. Completely avoid the Howard Johnson or other chain hotel. You will not be disappointed.
