Well, well, well. My daughter and I went to Cinemark McCreles Market Theater to see Avatar: Fire & Ash in 3D. What a laugh. This movie showing was not in 3D. 3D showing refers to a film presentation that creates the illusion of depth, allowing viewers to perceive images as three-dimensional. Some of the images, very little images were in 3D, but the whole movie did not show any depth. I kept taking off my 3D glasses to see the difference in the images and the images were in regular viewing. This viewing was terrible at this theater. I would never return to Cinemark McCreles Market Theater for another 3D viewing. I am going to another theater to see the movie & I will write a review. RECOMMENDATION: DO not go to see Avatar: Fire & Ash at Cinemark McCreles Market Theater. read more

Clean and comfortable, and we tried the D box seats with Deadpool vs. Wolverine in 3D. The seats were awesome, with movement like you were part of the action. 3D was lacking, but the seats made up for it. Theater temperature was great. Concession crew did a good job getting our order ready, but only 1 person was waiting on everyone, which made lines long. Popcorn was fresh, and drink choices were okay, but no lemonade was available. Plenty of parking available. read more

Just your average movie theater. I recommend you buy your ticket online before going. When I was online purchasing my tickets, I noticed you could even pre-order your snacks and drinks. If you're running late, that might be a good option, but I like my popcorn fresh. I wasn't impressed by their popcorn here though. Not the best theatre I've come to, but definitely serves its purpose. I am not a local to San Antonio, but my wife and I wanted to watch Detective Pikachu before our 4 hour drive home. This theatre was on its way. Compared to other Cinemarks I've visited, this one is small. It's got a small arcade section on the left of entrance, small concession stand with 2-4 registers, and a small waiting area past the ticket cut-off section. The restrooms were cleanish but could have used a bit more cleaning. The staff was friendly and smiled when providing service. I purchased a refill of popcorn and 2 soda refills. I also purchased a Godzilla bag clip, which are random. The clerk started a conversation with me about what I expected to get and what others have gotten with those purchases. I enjoyed that conversation. I would come to this theatre again but they do need to update their seats to the leg-extender ones. read more

It's been a very long time since I Sat in a movie theater. Seats are very comfortable. Upon arrival was greeted with a smile and a pleasant attitude willingness to assist. Typical snack bar selection. Decent pretzels. Pizza was decent but overly greasy. Like the the grease soaked through the cardboard and stained my husband's jeans. Lines moved fairly quickly and decent customer service. The whole place could use a facelift. But overall decently clean and maintained. Tons of parking. Several screens so decent selection of movies and times. read more

We reserved a private screening to watch Halloween on Halloween night and it was a wonderful experience! My friends and family can't stop telling me what a great time they had! Staff was friendly and our screening room was ready on time, clean, comfortable seats and very modern. Snacks were reasonably priced and fresh! We are already talking about planning another screening. Due to the pandemic we were looking for something safe and fun - this provided us with all that and more! There was a Karen being a butt saying we can't get in without a parent, even thought online it said need a adult to watch the movie. We showed our school ID and my brother showed his, but she was like no no no . And she started asking personal info like do you have a birth certificate, like yea let me pull it out of my buttcrack because everyone carries that . Also the Karen said does your ID have a D.O.B like no bffr it's a school ID why would it have that. The ugly bruja also tried keeping some money and said it will take about 5 days to get our money refunded smh. I am sad that the $1 Cinemark was replaced with a $7.25 movie theater by Cinemark! Dang. I miss them $1 movies, CINEMARK!!! I have been here a couple of times whenever I come back into town to see my parents and sister. Once on the holiday and another time just recently. Both times I had a good time and ended up using a discount coupon for a drink and popcorn which was totally worth spending some money to see a just released movie. Seats are super comfortable (they lean far back like a cholo) and plenty of leg room for you when you are seated. I am a HUGE fan and supporter of Alamo Drafthouse but this theater is not bad considering how much money you pay to see a movie as well as how cheap food and popcorn can be (if you have a coupon). 3 stars are given because both times, after I see the movie, I have been approached by people in the parking lot usually asking for money and/or any spare change I have. I DO NOT like to be approached by anyone especially if I am 1) alone, and 2) coming out late from a movie. Where is the security?! This is NOT OKAY! read more

The absolute worst experience ever ! Do not go there on Tuesday when it's half prices on the ticket. You will be in the theater with a ass ton of children and babies like it's a damn daycare!!! I watched captain marvel at a 5 pm showing and it was out of control. Two families brought all their babies and they wouldn't stop crying and I guess some people just are rude as hell and can't control their kids. Stay at home ! Order the movie how about that one. Don't ruin everyone else's time because of your mistakes. Maybe hire a babysitter! Oh wait they probably can't afford that so they use the theater as their own personal babysitter. The theater should probably do something about this like check in on the screening and see how much mayhem is going on. Definitely will not be returning there. Theater is nice nothing special with snack bar selling over priced pop corn, candy and soda drinks. The theaters entrance area was not appealing with cracked sidewalks and unkept clean entry way. It is the closest to my home so I will be back cause I so enjoy their stadium seating and early morning shows for 5$. read more

We watched Black Panther tonight, or I should say attempted to watch it, once we told the manager that there was a large group of kids super loud throughout the movie she proceeded to say they were kids from a high school and never once took any accountability, all she said was they should have had ushers go in and check around throughout or at some point during the movie, which they didn't. All it takes is a little bit of understanding, it's called customer service skills, she obviously didn't have any or management skills for that matter. We will never go back. Waste of a good movie! Horrible theater- don't waste regular theater $$ on a subpar experience. Popcorn wasn't hot and barely warm- scarce amount of jalapeños and popcorn salt. Then as we walked to our stadium with our hands full from the concession stand- the ticket attendant who wasn't at his post shouted halfway down the corridor and called us to come back to him to take our tickets. (By the way to add insult there is a big sign that says NO LARGE PURSES OR BACKPACKS that reminds one of the convenient store signs that state no more than 2 kids at a time-- instantly criminalized just walking in the door) And now as we sit in the seats for this tiny theater- you know the seemingly springless almost bucket seats- yup they've got 'em. I usually go to the City Base Cinema for my movies, but I tried this one out because they had a later night showing of Captain America Civil War than City Base. I went on a Tuesday night; downside is the place was really dead. On the bright side, it was Discount Day and all showings are $4.50. As for the theater, I was really surprised how small the main lobby was considering it was a First Run Theater. Only two registers for concessions for the entire building. Since it was dead it didn't matter, but I can't image how frustrating it would be with a packed house on the weekends. The theater itself was nice enough. Fairly new and in good condition. Seats are vinyl buckets but very comfortable. All the theaters are accessible through one aisle; it's not a cineplex maze. There is a very small game room if you need to kill time; only about 5 games. As for the concessions: Not very many options. If you just need popcorn and soda, you're fine. The butter is self service, which is nice. But if you're a nacho fan, this place sucks. Packaged chips and cheese. No Thanks! This is my biggest pet peeve about movie theaters: Why do they have such cheap nachos but yet want to charge premium prices? Overall this place isn't bad. It's good to catch a movie on a slow day. But I would not make this my regular theater. read more

I have been going to your theater since my now adult kids were kids. But never again will I attend. I purchased my Avenger D-BOX RESERVED tickets ahead of time like all the millions of people did. Purchased mine on the 16th of April at the counter of the theater, but I was not able to enjoy my movie because my seats were resold to someone else a week after. Even after the manager was told that the other customer bought their tickets with a 3 party vendor. They were not questioned, but it was suggested by the manager that I come back another day. Are they crazy the biggest movie of the year maybe the century and your telling me to come back.. When?! all the shows are sold out. That is why I was prepared and bought them early. I was promised a refund that as of today I have yet to receive. I was contacted my a GM but the communication has stop. So unless you are buying your tickets there and walking in.
