I thought that was pretty wild considering I just wanted bottled water and a small popcorn. The popcorn itself was fresh and buttery. It was cold in there! So cold that I actually fell asleep during a lull in the action of the movie. Next time I visit this movie theater I'm bringing a sweater and a blanket. The employees were helpful. I didn't have any trouble getting the seat to recline unlike the last theater I visited. Four stars!

Of all the theatres, not only because of the nostalgia, it is our fav. I don't need the fancy big screens, the numerous food options, or the bowling alleys. I mean we don't even go to the arcade at this location. If you use the rewards program, it's honestly one of the more affordable theatre options in town. It's never crazy super crowded either. Unlimited popcorn, soda, and icee. Why would you go anywhere else? A funny side note, they have the least amount of previews and commercials before a screening. I mean HALF of Regal theatres! The service, I mean it's a theatre, is nowhere as slow as any others we have visited. I give the manger credit for that for sure! I, in my humble opinion, think they have one of the better Philly cheesesteaks in town. At least better than Malik's. .... This is our theatre, and my munchkins have so many memories here. It's not a 5, because my truck got broken into one time here. It's main drawback, it's next to Marbachistan(marbach road, If you know, you know). So we go during the day, or we bring one of my harder to break into vehicles. Just make sure your car isn't on the top ten list of most broken into or stolen cars.

I've been to special screenings, quote alongs, and countless movies. And I'm done. Saw a movie tonight with their new ordering system, terrible recliners, and squeaky tables, and I realized the magic of that place is dead. The online ordering was awful. I paid for everything under 1 order but there was 15 minutes between 1 seat and the other getting items. When I finally got my food the water I ordered didn't arrive until I requested multiple refills through the online system which meant I had to keep my phone on the entire time. I would've felt better if I could've talked to a server but it was a bit chaotic. They were all running around looking a bit overwhelmed and lost. The only way to get help is to request a manager through the website, which felt like overkill. Final straw was realizing that despite paying via credit card when you order, they charge you another 5% (on top of the included 18% service fee) if you don't go back into the order system and close out after the movie ends. I don't want to be a slave to my phone. One of the greatest joys of the Alamo Drafthouse was their strictly enforced no phone policy, but those days are done. When Santikos or AMC tried to introduce fancier food I thought they were poor imitations of the Drafthouse, but now the Drafthouse feels like it dumbed itself down to be a poor imitation of them.

I was unable to order my tickets online. My gift cards showed a balance, but couldn't be used for checkout for unknown reasons. No worries, I'll just go with a less frequented movie that I don't wanna see as much, and wait in your lobby to order tickets for some random poor seats, like we used to do in the old-fashioned days. Once seated the gift cards can't be used to order food. For some reason, Drafthouse requires a credit card to do so within their app. But, you can leave your movie 20 minutes in, and order food from the lobby, and never see the waiter again for things such as refills on drinks or allegedly unlimited popcorn. I won't be buying Drafthouse gift cards from Costco again, because as far as I can tell, they're just some sort of Ponzi scheme to collect my credit card number, name, and other pertinent details. But, I don't think I'll be attending Drafthouse again at all, because gift cards aside their entire thing was providing you a waiter and getting your food during your movie, and they've managed to mess that up entirely.

Located right in the heart of downtown San Antonio, close to all of the great tourist attractions and the Riverwalk, you'll find a whole host of big chain stores, and also the school theatre (voice dictation again... I meant to say "this cool theatre") which shows all kinds of stuff, including tourist type stuff. It's pretty run down and has been here forever, and it seems like it needs renovating in some ways more than others. But overall it's a really cool addition to downtown, and if you're not looking for something brand-new shiny-smelling-good and state-of-the-art then you'll be fine here.

Cheap concessions, cheap tickets, minimal ads, and a good display. I love a cute local theater and it's great to see them show the big movies in a small theater. I went tonight with my parents, who were given a box seat, to see Toy Story 5. Upon arrival, we were escorted to our seats in the box and given a menu. The usher got us our popcorn and drinks and was attentive. The popcorn is that classic popcorn I love, and it was a great price for the tub. Tickets typically are $9, and the concessions prices aren't too shabby either. For 3 drinks and the popcorn tub, it was $20, which is a steal compared to your majors. My mom wasn't sold on the theater before we went vs a chain, but after attending, she wants to go every weekend. It's a great addition to this small town. RIYL: big screens in the small town

The seats are very comfortable, a little tall so it's harder to see if you are on the shorter side. They do have bins that can be placed on the seats as a booster but I'd bring a pillow or something instead, it would be more comfortable. This would always take place after we picked up 3 brown paper shopping bags full of day old bread which she would in turn divide amongst our ever growing family. I miss the beautiful architecture inside and believe it or not the bathrooms were so elegant. I would go even if I didn't have to just to feel like a princess! I now live 50 miles northe of San Antonio but my husband and I who are now emty nesters will be visiting all the theatres in San Antonio this coming summer. We took a rideshare but there is plenty of pay parking in the area. Inside, the theater is decorated with pretty gold molding but not in a pretentious way. This theater is actually way more humbly decorated than the grandly designed Majestic and the perfect size for a more intimate show. We bought a couple drinks while there and never felt like we were waiting too long to get our drinks. We were in the orchestra section where the nearest restrooms were down a rather steep set of stairs, but there are elevators with direct access as well. Great venue to see a show!
