Great place to see a movie! Saw The Mandolorian and Grogu on IMAX and it was great! I highly recommend coming here to watch a good movie

We were really excited to get a CinemaWest out here in Roseville. We normally will drive all the way to the one in Folsom to visit their Luxe location. I wish that we had one in Roseville that was also Luxe. While they have redone the auditoriums from when it was a Regal theater, the concession stand and lobby has remained practically the same. Overall, everything seems to be fairly clean, but to be fair there's never been a time that we've come that there have been more than 10 people in our theater. The bathrooms are fine, but didn't appear to be part of the remodel, so it is very dated. No, as for the concessions, everything is movie theater prices, so it's going to be definitely on the pricier side. But the popcorn does also tend to either be burnt or just not taste very good. I don't know if they're using old popcorn or if the employees don't know how to make it properly yet, but overall concessions are pretty disappointing. Of the three times that we have seen a movie here, one of the times the sound quality was absolutely horrible. Looking back at reviews now it looks like that was an issue around that time, but it was never addressed to anyone upon buying tickets or checking tickets, which was really disappointing. The sound quality was just not great and if I had known it was going to be like that I wouldn't have seen my movie that day. All in all, I'm glad that we have a new theater in that location. And I'm hoping that with a little bit more time things can improve. read more

Got there about 1:15 cause the movie was suppose to start at 1:35 (Song Sung Blue) but didn't start till after 2 pm.... wife bought expensive nasty popcorn and I bought a bottle of Coke and a Sprite for $15. Stepped into the theater and it was hella dark... I'm a senior and trying to get to the top seats was hazardous because of the darkness...could not see my seat at all, I had to feel around to position my butt into the seat. Trying to pass the Sprite to my wife we could see the bottle labels to determine if it was a Coke or a Sprite. The sound was so quiet that your neighbors conversation was louder than the movie. It was freezing in there, I wish they had blanket rentals. Before the movie started a janitor swept our floor.... how he did it in the dark I'll never know. I went to see Rental Family this afternoon and the sound was messed up in the theatre. The music was fine but the dialogue on the ads and in the film was muffled. Several people had gone out and asked employees about it but nothing was done to fix the issue. I went to the front counter and talked to a guy who said I wasn't supposed to be in that theater because of the sound problem and it should have been closed off. They told me to go to another theater but it was playing a different movie. I talked to the manager on shift and not only were they aware of the issue, they weren't going to do anything about it. They said all screenings of Rental Family were supposed to be cancelled for the rest of the day and yet I and many others were able to buy the tickets in the lobby. While I was trying to figure this out, an employee had gone into the theater and told everyone to leave. Everyone ended up getting refunds or passes to a different movie but what really irritated me was the indifference of the staff. They should have done more to prevent this issue because some staff were aware of the problem while others were not. The first guy I talked to was kind of a jerk because he acted like we (the customers) were the problem. If the movie was supposed to be cancelled, why were tickets still being sold and why were they still playing the movie? read more

I thought it was a lovely movie theater and I really think it has been improved since it was a Regal. The popcorn was good, Soda cold, and the seats were fine. It was really clean in there! While the movie wasnt that good (The Devil Wears Prada 2) , This experience beats going to the Galleria for the Movies! read more

Why are we allowing the bathrooms to be this flighty? On top of that, half the women's bathroom stalls don't have locks. Why? The hand dryer is broken, as well as no towels available. read more

Love that this theater is not as busy as other nearby theaters and I cam usually get great seats close to showtime for spontaneous outings! I miss regal unlimited but like the upgraded iMax screen and the kind workers. read more

I really enjoyed my movie here at Cinema West! Let's talk about Mario in 4Dx! It was a rollercoaster of a ride - so much that my dad that didn't like d-box actually enjoyed himself in 4dx! We all know movie theaters are way over priced for drinks and food but this place is probably the worse. Never will I get robbed from this place again the food is very plain and just a rip off compared to the other theaters in the area. Don't waste your time giving this place your money like I did. It's a scam. Bought tickets 2 weeks ago and got an email TODAY saying they cancelled all screen x movies. You call this a business? All you do is sell movie tickets. Do you even show any movies? Well that's what you adverstise aka SCAM.....Now I have to play the "check my credit card account" to make sure they don't steal my money. This location is doomed. read more

We love the new experience with the new operator with all of the upgrades...IMAX, ScreenX, and 4DX. The lobby looks fantastic now and the staff is friendly with fast service. And the parking is so much easier than the other nearby options... read more

This theater is conveniently located and has plenty of parking. It is kept clean and the seating is very comfortable. The food and drink concessions are decent with plenty to choose from. Although there are actual commercials you have to watch before the movie previews, the feature film usually starts about 20 minutes after the actual showtime. Sit back in the comfortable seats and enjoy the show. read more

This is a newer (remodeled) and smaller theater in town. Stadium seating with reclining seats and drink holders. Each theater is relatively small compared to some of these mega screens. But, for a good film watching experience, it was perfectly fine. read more

About a month ago I came here and saw warfare and it was an awesome experience so I thought I'd come back and see the accountant 2. Everything was great until it came time to watch the movie...the entire time there was either one or several flies landing on the projector cause the screen to have a fly on it the entire time. At one point I left the theater and told a few employees and that resolved nothing. It really sucked watching Ben Affleck run and gun with a fly on his face. Went with my family to see predator badlands with the new screenx theater, just an overall amazing experience! The staff, Kevin, was super friendly and personable and the new screenx was almost like a VR experience; total game changer. Thank you again to Kevin for making tonight even more enjoyable for us. First time here, not sure what the Regal vibes were like before. The picture and sound quality was good! Seating extremely comfortable. Not super busy which was also nice. All the facilities were clean. Would definitely go here again. They're remodeling and upgrading the lobby area and features, curious what it'll all be like in the end! read more

I saw predator Badlands here and it was a great experience. The theater is not very crowded during the week, and the staff is super friendly and everything's nice, clean, and new. What a gem. read more

I have to say, after visiting this theater on Saturday I was extremely disappointed. I regularly go to Cinemark so to say I was shocked when I was charged $10 for one peanut m&m and $10 for a large soda is an understatement. The bathrooms were incredibly unclean and the overall theater was definitely aging. I would not recommend this theater, you might as well go to any other regal or Cinemark and get a better experience for much less. read more

Cinema West?? More like Cinema WEAK! I would rate zero stars if I could. My family and I went there to watch Wicked 2 for my mom's birthday. During the commercial everyone is the theater noticed that you couldn't hear the talking audio at all. I walked to the lobby to let them know. They said they would work on it. Nothing changed. No one informed us with what was going on with the sound. I walked down a second time to let them know. Someone directed me to the manager. I let him know. He told me that the sound box blew and that there is nothing to do. He asked how many was in my party. I told him the theater is full and with an attitude he said "I know.". I didn't appreciate that attitude since my family has been looking forward to see Wicked for our Mom's Birthday. Everyone in the theater was super upset and all left. My family grew up going to this theater. It has turned into a dump. The staff was short and cold when we entered. The butter dispenser had zero butter in it. It was just oil. And it felt like the manager didn't wanna help at all. Our family will never buy anything from here again. I recommend the same to you. read more

Paid extra money to see Avatar in Imax3D, they didn't have any glasses out to watch the movie.

Went in today to see a movie & there have been huge improvements to this location. New chairs, new floors, new paint , new tile, it is looking ao much better. It was great and very clean ! It was very easy to get our tickets. And the service was excellent.

Well. It was $28 + for a water, soda, and popcorn. The popcorn butter was rancid. I brought it to the attention of the person checking in the people for tickets because there was no one coming in and there was a huge line She said that was normal and everyone is complaining about the butter. WHAT???? So I dumped 1/2 of my large popcorn in the trash and she just smiled at me. We will NOT be back. read more

Went to the soft reopening last night, all went well...movie snacks standard, cool Snow White cups and popcorn cans for purchase. It was super, super slow we were the only people in our theater. Hope they get the word out cause it was very clean, nice new seats missing the food trays though, not the end of the world but definitely something we've come to expect at the theater. We were directed to theater 2 when our movie was in theater 11 but we figured it out pretty quick and got to our movie in time to not miss anything. The employees need some training, saw one kicking the garbage into the big garbage area outside instead of actually putting it into the big bin. Another employee walked away in the middle of our purchase and shouted at a gal to come finish up when we were literally the ONLY people in the lobby. Hopefully they'll get it all figured out. All and all a good experience, we'll definitely put this on our list of preferred theaters. read more
