I've been coming to cineplex on queensways for some time now. Lots of Peking available but it can be busy on the weekends. I enjoy coming to this location, I recommend checking out their vip section. There's a bar, lounge dinning area. I recently saw a movie in the ultra avx and that was a fun experience, the screen was fairly larger and the sound quality was impressive.

This is the first time I have visited a theatre since the Pandemic hit. We came here as a group of 4 on a Friday to watch Black Widow on July 30th. We tried booking the first week of Black Window opening and it was full. So I would expect the second week to be relatively busy. When we arrived and sat in our assigned seats, it surprised me how well-spaced we are. There is only one other group on the same row as us, and we were approx 10 seats apart. Maybe it's partly because you can also stream Black Widow but we felt like keeping to tradition and watching in theatres. Did you know you can order food delivered to the theatre? They have a designated side table for you to pick up your delivery inside near the entrance. Though I'm not sure if this is a partnership with Cineplex, when I ordered a drink and two burritos from Burrito Boyz (3min drive away), I was surprised the bill came up to $40-50~. Does Cineplex take a cut? I understand if they do because they make most of their revenue from food and drinks. The place is clean and spacious. I would feel comfortable to revisit.

We were determined not to get The Batman spoiled for us so we decided on seeing an afternoon showing the day following the midnight premier. We opted to buy our tickets online. Annoyingly you do have to sign up for an account to be able to buy tickets. Once you're in, you can select your seats for your selected time. On our way to the theatre, my partner realized that he had forgotten his glasses which would definitely impact the viewing quality. We attempted to get a hold of customer support via the chat method on the website but it seemed impossible to connect with a live agent. We left the chat window open for 30 minutes with no response. Under the FAQ of the website, they state that you can change your showtime up to a half hour before the show. We had just passed that mark but decided to try our luck anyways. This theatre is pretty much standalone by itself. The parking lot is huge and the nearest establishment to it is a Kelsey's that's right along the street. You should be able to find parking no problem. We explained our predicament to the greeter who directed us to the box office for any requests that involved moving showtimes. The employee that helped us at the till simply asked us to select another showtime and then had us pick our seats on the touch-screen monitor they had on there. Then we were printed new tickets and our way back home to retrieve our forgotten items. For the new releases they have a lot of options for viewing - DBOX seats, IMAX seats, and just the regular theatre experience. We went with the later. The screen was still huge and sound was great, nothing ear shattering. The seats have a slight recline to them if you lean back. They were comfy enough for the whole 2.5 hour movie. At the end of The Batman movie, the employees were handing out complimentary comic books which was pretty cool. Lastly when I was checking out the concession stands, I noticed that they carry plushies and blankets which are great if you get cold in the theatre. They also have little figurines of the popcorn characters that are in the Scotiabank commercials that are shown during the previews.

Update 2019-11-02. At the Entrance, there are now 4 very large touch-screen where you can play the game "Breakout" for free. I was here for a corporate event again. It was held in their theatre 1 which is their big Ultra AVX theatre. The temperature outside was around 8C and drizzle. Unfortunately inside the theatre it was slightly cold. I had to where a coat and thin gloves. I hope the other theatres were warmer. The audio (via a microphone) was bad in that the person spoke (which you can hear if sitting close enough) and then the sound comes out of the large speakers behind the screen one second later! Yes the AVX theatre had ver comfortable leather seats that can recline.ĺ

This Cineplex is huge! With 17 screens plus the VIP section! The parking lot is huge and I was able to find a parking with no issue and it was even close to their entrance! The food selection here is quite good. There is even a Tim Horton's! A slice of pizza for $3.99 was also quite reasonable. The washrooms here also really clean and plentiful.

The last time I was at this Cineplex was probably over a decade ago. It wasn't a VIP theatre back then. It didn't have a ton of business development around. It was simply a theatre with a single restaurant across the parking lot. I recently came here for a corporate event. The area has also been massively developed with restaurants and shops. The parking lot looks the same. However, the interior looks and feels different. For me, signage is important. If you don't have proper signage, I will be the first one to tell you that it's bad when I can't get to where I need to be. I am truly your usability tester when it comes to signage and GPS directions. I will tell you if the steps are perfect, or if they truly suck and I end up in another city. Thankfully, there were plenty of clean signs indicating that we needed auditorium 3. This place treated everyone like royalty. Bags of popcorn were available for you to pick up steps away from auditorium 3. Bottle drinks? Pick up one from a ton of selection. It was nice. I thanked the nice Cineplex woman in front of the table of goodies, who appreciated it and smiled back. I walked in with one of my interns. Auditorium 3 is huge! It seats at least 200 people. We walked up the steps and plopped down in our seats. They were comfy. You could lean back a bit, but we decided not to annoy the folks behind us. We flagged my other intern who came in later. We all sat together, munched on our popcorn even though we were all stuffed from lunch, and I opened my bottle of Diet Coke when a speaker was talking. Yes, you could hear it. I didn't care. It's either I annoy folks for a few seconds with the sound of twisting the cap off and taking a drink, or I die from thirst and have an ambulance come fetch me. There were presentations and focus groups during this corporate event. The video and audio were perfect. It was a decent setting for everything that was presented and planned. The best part was that the presentation ended at 4 pm on a windy, cold Friday afternoon. We could go home. Yay! I'd like to come back here and give the VIP experience a try. I loved looking at the arcade section. It looked impressive and I wanted to play some games. I also liked this little marketplace where you could purchase popcorn, snacks, and drinks. It looks different from the regular concession stands that you expect at Cineplex, which is refreshing. (89)

The movie theatre has plenty of parking and just around at the corner of Islington and Queensway.. easily accessible to Gardiner Express highway! Also noticed recently there are more self service kiosk.. glad to see mostly it is paperless. Oh and there is Tim's inside after you scan your ticket. So good to have coffee too instead of a regular pop

Watched sonic with my friends and pals I truly felt like I was in the world of green hills as I stood there in awe of the comfortable seats with buttered popcorn this facility is amazing I truly had the best of times in here. Once the movie was over I wanted more but not just more, I wanted MORE. Luckily the arcade had sonic, tails, knuckles, even shadow plus many other friends and pals (Bert) after we won them all we truly felt the trilogy until I checked Twitter. I then took a picture of me and the minions to understand what sonic and speed really meant.

JJ and I love watching movies, and our go-to theatre is the Queensway Cineplex VIP (just look at my check-in haha). Anyway, I like this theatre a lot more than the Yonge/Dundas, as parking spaces are plenty here. Most of the movies we watched are in VIP unless the movie is shorter than 1.5 hrs or animation. Cineplex VIP is not cheap at $24.99 per person (Fri-Sun), but I enjoy it as it has (1) better food selection (2) advanced seat selection (3) in-seat service (4) you can drink alcohol (5) comfy seats, and finally (6) no kids as it's 19+ We like going on opening weekends, but if you don't care for it ... then I'd suggest going on Tues or Wed. It's much cheaper on those two days. Service ends at show-time, so I'd recommend arriving at least 15-20 min earlier if you want to order food & drinks (pop or alcohol) with their in-seat service. Plus, since it's priced much higher than the regular seating (compared to $12.99), people actually watch the movie and not chat, talk on their cell, or text throughout the showing. Not bad at all for a movie night out!

This review is for VIP cinemas alone. We were invited by Scene for a special preview for the VIP cinemas at this location. The event was a big success at least in terms of winning me over as a customer who would love to visit the VIP theaters in other locations as well. What's so awesome about this theater you ask? It's the "VIP experience". First off, you get reserved seating. The seats are designed for couples. They are reclining which makes then wayyy more comfy than the usual seats!! Next, while you are seated you get to order from a special menu before the show starts and the food gets delivered to your seat!! We had some fantastic crunchy, fried dill pickles. They were well-dressed and came with a ranch dipping sauce. The quantity was generous and I couldn't stop eating them for the rest of the show!! We also got the Cheddar cheese sticks but they were very heavy and not too flavourful. I wasn't too impressed with them. The food however was good for the price. They definitely have more variety than the usual menu of nachos and popcorn. They also have a complete main course and desserts!! Oh, and the theatre is licensed so you can also order alcoholic beverages! What more can you ask for? The service was excellent...I guess that's why they call it VIP service. Even the washrooms lived up to the whole experience. They have individual washrooms with a sink in each room...so you don't have to wait until other people are done washing their hands. I love the whole concept. The theatre is only 18+ in Ontario. I got free tickets and food at the event but I wouldn't hesitate in spending from my own pocket the next time I have to see a movie here. It's totally worth it!!
This is a perfect spot for a movie night/day and offers ample parking spots, VIP, UltraAVX, ScreenX, D-BOX, and Dolby Atmos. It's easily accessible from the Queensway and has lots of food and entertainment nearby. The theaters are clean and organized; seats are comfortable and perfectly signed. VIP experience is nice with fewer people, more comfortable seating, and the option to order food and drinks from your seat. read more

Watched Wicked here and reserved tickets for VIP. The VIP experience was pretty cool. You get to order food from your seat as waiters go directly to your seat and you can order from there. There's also lots of parking in this cinema which is nice. Had no trouble at all finding parking. For some reason I thought the seats would recline but it did not. Also the seats I was in H12&13 with my sister, the rotating mini tables where you place your food did not rotate at all and it was stuck which sucked. I had to eat my food sideways while watching the movie because the table was stuck. I would go again but different seats. read more

Only a review for VIP: If you're entering the parking lot from the east on foot, the VIP entrance is all the way at the western end. Pros: - AC is great - Almost all of the staff were kind and helpful - If you watch at 9 pm or later, the crowds disappear - It's VIP, no babies or children Cons: - Received my drink as soon as the movie started - Talking during the movie and taking flash photos - The seats weren't cleaned, there was popcorn in my seat crevice. - There's only single washrooms, I guess around 12 at least. Which isn't enough if 2 showtimes conclude at the same time. - It's a small section, so it can get crowded if several shows finish at the same time - There's some wear and tear on the seats In conclusion, $60 for 2 before food isn't bad. I would visit again. read more

i've boycotted this location based on the most recent service. we scoped out a movie online and google said that a 3pm showing was possible for a sunday show. when we got to the theater we were told that google was wrong (haha thats funny) and that the listing was for the weekday instead of the weekend. not only was this not cool, but the attitude that was directed towards us because we used google instead of cineplex's website was absurd...we were basically called idiots without using the words. thats cool, never coming back again! read more

I saw a movie in the VIP section for the first time. It was disappointing to say the least. The smaller entrance was nice but the actual movie experience was lack luster. The seats are small. They can push back slightly but you'll have to engage your core the entire movie to keep the seat slightly reclined. There is no foot rest so you're not exactly put into a comfortable position. They could definitely do better. If you've ever been to an AMC with the large power recliners you'll be extremely disappointed by this supposed upgrade. I enjoyed the film but cineplex should definitely strive for a better viewer experience. read more
We go to the vip theatres here. Nice restaurant/lounge with ok food. They are trying to add healthy and veg options but there is not enough variety for my liking as we come so often. The theatres are decent size...not huge and the washrooms are small and generally clean. read more

My wife and I watched Joker last night in the VIP 4 cinema and while we both enjoyed the movie and usually have only the best experience at this cinema we both became ill and threw up once we got home. We normally get the usual popcorn and bottled water to enjoy during the movie but last night she decided to try the cheese cake while I tried the popcorn shrimp with a Malibu rum and Coke Zero. My first thought was the shrimp caused the problem but my wife did not want to taste it when I offered. I did however help her finish the cheese cake and we both had some of the mixed drink. I tried to call the cinema and let them know about our issue but there is no option to press for comments on their service. We will of course return for more movie nights but next time we'll eat before we get there. 2 stars for the theatre but 5 stars for the movie. If you haven't seen it, you should. read more

Do not go to this VIP theatre. waiting a year to watch Deadpool and Wolverine, ordered tickets for the first showings. The seats next to me were empty when the show started, these people come in when the movie starts and the staff still takes their order which was half the menu and at least 3-4 drinks each. 20-30 minutes into the movie the staff is waiving their flashlight and talking very loudly, blocking the screen for myself and my party of 4. After that the food kept on coming in increments and drinks. They served this party of 4 next to us so much alcohol at once that they were drunk and intoxicated and then one passed out and was snoring. (At least it was quieter than the staff) It was a terrible experience and they continue to do this for VIP movies, no cutoff for food being delivered during the movie. Now I know why sales are down and they are tearing down this theatre for condos. When I went to the manager and emailed Cineplex they offered me a ticket and basically treated me like it was my fault. Terrible service, and terrible reaction to them ruining the movie. read more
When I'm feeling bougie I come to the Queensway Cineplex location. It is great. Huge parking lot but it does fill up fast during the most anticipated movies. The food and drinks, I found is overly priced. The seats are at least more conformable than most locations. This location is probably one of the cleanest in the gta. You can order your ticket online, at the kiosk or even at the ticket booth. Your preference. Make sure to have your scene card to collect rewards and get discount! read more
JUST ONE THING BEFORE YOU READ: I got my car window smashed & I got robbed here, so obviously I am a little bitter about it & don't fully trust this establishment, even though this area is not ratchet at all. Also, the lot does not have any cameras, which is weird and kind of annoying.. how do you track crime?! DO NOT LEAVE ANYTHING IN YOUR CAR. Anyways, the cineplex is not bad. It's really big with half of it being VIP and the other half just being regular. They have a lot of food options as well, as in full meals with pizza and all that unhealthy goodness. The staff here look happy and after talking to one, she told me how much she loves working at the movie theatre and how good they are to her. The actual theatre itself is clean but for some reason, the movie gave out 2-3 times and it actually turned static-y and blank for 10s or so each time, which was a bit annoying. I actually met the manager after getting robbed, and he was very nice and tried to make me feel better by giving me 4 free movie tickets. He also seemed like he kind of cared, unlike most store managers when you address an issue. To be honest.. I have trust issues with this place and will probably never return because of what happened to me (it happened with another girl as well that same night) - please just be careful and keep absolutely nothing in your car when you go watch a movie, even if it means taking your school backpack or luggage with you. read more

Yesterday was my first time visiting the Queensway location. It is hands down my favourite movie theatre! Me and my boyfriend had about an hour to kill time so lucky enough there was a mini Playdium inside. They had a deal where you pay $15 and get $25 worth of game credit. We had a blast at the mini Playdium and ended up with a minion, domo, and some small random prizes. There were many staff members working at the concession stand so it didn't take long to place my order. They have a deal where you get a regular popcorn, drink, and candy, and 1000 Scene points for about $25. It's worth it because of the free movie ticket. The movie theatre was a bit dirty but the section we sat in was relatively clean. We liked how the seats were reclinable, had adjustable arm rests, and weren't made of fabric. Fabric seats are dirtier and harder to clean. Overall, we had an excellent time and I can't wait to visit Cineplex Odeon Queensway again! read more

The service is fine, the food quality is was okay. We ordered the edamame, jalapeño poppers and popcorn. The edamame didn't seem fresh, didn't have any salt, pepper or sesame seeds- disappointing! The popcorn was average and the poppers were delicious. The VIP theatre was somewhat clean, but seemed a bit grungy in screening room 5. I tipped when I paid for the food and then when the server brought out the food, seemed like he was waiting for a tip as well. (Awkward) read more

Queensway Cineplex has been my go to cinema for years. There's a lot of parking but depending on the time of year (say December holidays) this place can be absolutely packed to the point where even the parking near ScotiaBank (literally the furthest possible corner from the main building) is packed. The parking seems to be busy all the time especially since there are a few Cara restaurants on the block as well that share that lot. You can buy tickets ahead of time online or you can buy them at the automated kiosks in the vestibule or you can get in line and buy them the old fashioned way too. UltraAVX which is the theater where you actually have assigned seating. This is absolutely an amazing option to have. You can buy your tickets well ahead of time and show up when the previews are done etc. If you picked seats in the middle you just show up. If somebody's in your seat I'm sure an usher will assist etc. I've never seen a dispute over seating in the pre-arranged seating theaters. They recently renovated and added the VIP section. While I haven't been to the VIP area I've seen that it's also reserved seating and it's adults only and you are serviced where you sit including alcohol and a lounge etc. That's cool... The Scene program is free, it's a frequent rewards program that allows you to get discounts on concessions and when you earn enough points you will get free admissions on movies etc. Scotia has a Scene credit card where you can earn points on that too. Overall I like this theater. While it can become very busy for premiere weekends for certain movies there's always good movies playing with multiple theaters showing the more popular newer movies. The seats are comfy and there is a good amount of leg room too. Cineplex has really changed from way back when their old theaters were at Sherway. Now that AMC is scaled back and Cineplex bought out Famous we really don't have any other chain cinemas anymore but Cineplex is always improving. The most affordable food in the theater is anything Tim Horton's related since it's close to the real price of the restaurant versus popcorn, nachos, drinks for the other concessions. read more
I did not have a great time with the VIP experience, as the ordering of food and delivery of it can interrupt the movie (not trailers, but movie proper.) That said, I do enjoy this location for regular cinema needs. Be warned, it's incredibly busy. I've never encountered a theatre that gets this packed this quickly - and the giant parking lot can also fill up fast. Pro-Tip: Park near the exit to the parking lot. It means a longer walk to the theatre, but it means you'll get out in under half an hour. read more
1 star for 1 reason... They need to UP efforts to combat nuisance crowds, I gave up going in the evening, too frustrating; talking loud, texting, people answering phone calls... Raise the price and install an employee in the room? Install WiFi for headsets? movie going experience hasn't progressed enough. Lot of it is the decline of western civilization, Cineplex should also UP their game and efforts... Too easy to stay home and skip the hassle nowadays. read more

Went to see Star Wars at the VIP at the Queensway. What a great experience. First nice plush large seats to sit. So nice and comfortabke. Felt luxurous. It has little tables on the side I n which you can swing be in front if you so you can eat. They have plenty of servers to make you get your food fast and hot. Food came hit and fast. Food is Good with proper portions.. I ordered the Burger and fries. Was satisfied with this meal. I have given 5 stars because of the overall experience for a movie theater. NOW ABOUT STAR WARS.. DON'T WORRY I WON'T SPOIL IT. IT WAS GOOD. read more

Massive theatre which probably has all the best and newer features you could hope to find in a movie theatre - including the VIP area which includes lazy-boy type seats. They also often have movies in more limited release which is nice if you're hoping to find a movie that might be off the radar from other mainstream releases. My problem is that I'm cheap and I don't like how high the prices are here. Arguable they've justified it with all the amenities, but those typically aren't what I'm interested in when going to the movies. read more
I had a few hours to kill in the area on Saturday so decided to watch a movie. It was busy with an interesting mix of clientele. Seniors, high school students, middle aged folk. The Yelp App directed me here. Right off the Gardiner, you can see as soon as you get off the freeway. The complex is large, but it's only the movie theatre and a couple of chain restaurants. They play a lot of movies because the Cineplex is so large as well. There are a number of concession stands, but this is not unique to this location. The price point is standard; personally, I think that movie tickets could be cheaper. However, I spent three hours watching a movie in a clean facility so I can't complain. There are probably a number of theatres from my home before I reach this place, but if I'm in the area again I will return. Good for: movies read more
There's two parts of this review but combined this is a 3-Star. The movie experience itself was great. Big comfy reserved seats w lots of leg room & personal stuff room. I'd recommend this to be sure. What I WOULDN'T recommend is the FOODSERVICE in the theatre. The chicken fingers we ordered was cold & tough. We informed the waitstaff & they took the food back only to return with the exact cold & tough chicken fingers again. If you're restaurant is charging a premium price for food ($14.99 for Chicken fingers & $13.00 for a 8oz glass of wine) you need to deliver a premium product! The waiter didn't seem too upset so my guess is it happens on a regular basis. So the synopsis....go for the movie & AVOID the food! read more
I haven't been to a movie at this location, but I did visit with my work buddies for a motivational speech during the work day. I like the modern upgrade and euro styling they did with the colours and textures of the interior. Reading and hearing from others about the newly opened VIP section makes me want to go see a movie here! read more
Pretty standard cineplex, we visited on a Saturday morning and there wasn't a big line. We lined up at the self-service ticket booth and we got our tickets within five minutes of arriving. The staff seemed preoccupied but still greeted us on the way in. The theatre was pretty clean, the bathrooms were pretty clean too. We live in Mississauga and this is still my parent's go to theatre. We've been visiting sporadically for 10 years. I don't really remember service during busier times or rush hours, so please take that into account. read more

Pretty fancy location! I walked in and was impressed at how much nicer it was than the other locations I've been to. You can buy concessions without a movie ticket here, as they check by the hall way to the theatres. They also have Melt (icecream?) and a full arcade too. There is a plentiful of parking here as well. read more
Customer service over-all fairly good, cleanliness can use some work, and prices not horrible (especially with coupons and what-not). This is the most convenient Cineplex location for me. I have been lately going quite regularly to the VIP part, which is quite nice. It features nice large seats, where the arm-rest between the couples seats actually raises so you can literally be shoulder-to-shoulder with your darling, seat trays, and wait service before the show starts. In terms of cleanliness, the washrooms in the VIP section have been smelly just about every time I've been there. In the non-VIP area, I have have situations where the staff seems to have checked the cleaning list off a few minutes prior with one of the items being listed as "paper towels well stocked" while in reality there were no paper towels stocked. Over-all though, I find the staff to just about always be rather friendly and mostly-so accommodating (unless you're into watching the movie until after the end of the credits, where-as just about all of the time they will walk in and start cleaning up around you, including walking in front of you). I guess the days of the cleaning staff waiting for you to be out of the theatre before starting to clean are just about over, although it has happened a few times, when there was either no one else there, or almost no one else in the showing with us. The last time I was there, my 3D glasses were missing from my seat, which is where they are typically found in the VIP. I went to ask the staff for a pair of glasses, and they ended up bouncing me around between several different staff, until eventually I was asked to go back to my seat, and a minute or two later, a pair of 3D glasses were brought to me. All-in-all, I will likely return to this venue. I just hope that they will improve their way of cleaning the washrooms, and what-not (and yes, I have voiced my feedback to them, so hoping that will have helped). read more
What happened to $2.50 Tuesday's? I'm really showing my age here! Real butter on their popcorn is makes this place the best! It costs $1 more for butter, or you can get the "free" popcorn topping. We saw a movie in the regular theater, it was clean and not ridiculously cold! No complaints for half price Tuesday at Cineplex! read more

You guys were doing great out monthly VIP trip a treat with too notch service until this past weekend ... what happened ? No friendly staff . A drink order screwed up follows by a food order screwed up with no apologies for either ( both in seat service ). . ... some staff standing by us gossiping and complaining while waiting to place our order - a real Shame . The service used to be impeccable in the VIP theatres there read more

After months of wanting to try the VIP experience and missing out, we finally planned ahead and scored tickets to a movie at the Queensway Cineplex VIP cinemas. At last I can fully review this complex. Two sides here, VIP and regular. Short and sweet for the regular movie theatre. Plenty of screens, above average concessions with decent fast food meals not usually available at a standard theatre and a variety of of theatre experiences including: DBOX, UktraAVX, 3D and standard. From experience DBOX and ultraAVX are worth the price of admission, making movie going an experience, not just something to do. Full marks. VIP side. We went to see the Jungle Book in 3D. I loved the movie. I mean Christopher Walken as King Louie!!!! Amaze. I really don't see the value in 3D in any theatre so don't bother. But VIP. Let's talk about your for a minute. It's a totally well thought out mature experience from parking to departure. Upon arrival, you can park yourself or pay a few dollars to use the valet service and "forget about your worries and your strife". Then with the Cineplex app you ca. Pre purchase your tickets in advance and just pick them up by scanning your barcode upon entry - no line up for you. Now you have two options if you're so inclined: a) grab a drink and eats in their shishi bar/resto/lounge just off the lobby OR b) make way to your pre selected/reserved seat in the theatre and take advantage of their pre movie in seat service. The in seat service allows you to purchase cocktails, beer, or wine as well as standard concessions or off menu dining similar to what's available out front. The seats are on a whole other level, big cushiony recliners that have an oscillating table that comes right up to your torso. So comfortable, and not to mention extra large sized cup holders which can easily (and safely) hold a full pint glass. The alcohol is pretty much big name brands (Molson, Labatt, VQA wines) sort of what you'd expect from a casual fine dining chain resto. But hey you're drinking in a movie theatre so bring it on right? Last up the food. Well everything else was aces, something had to be off and that's the food. Basically, it's jazzed up versions of what's available at the concession stands, deep fried bites, salads and flat breads. My chicken wrap was awful with little to no chicken, the signature salad was so bad I threw 75% of it away. The decent items were the tandoori flatbread (by comparison but if you know good tandoori This was not good. Just passable) and the jalapeño poppers - then again it's hrs to mess those up as I'm sure they're cooked from frozen. Learning and advice: The VIP experience is totally worth it (if you can swing $25+tax a head). But avoid the food. It's not worth the price at all. Relax, enjoy some alcoholic drinks with your popcorn in a comfy chair. Cineplex, if you're reading this, you're so close to perfection with this concept, don't stumble at the finish line with a half assed food menu when everything to that point is top shelf. read more

The cineplex itself is decent, but a lot of the workers there are rude and poorly trained. I've had multiple bad experiences at their Outtakes this year. I've gotten the pulled pork poutine at least 50 times in the last 5 years. I'm familiar with how it should be portioned. But one week it'll be alright, the next it'll have drastically less fries, gravy or pulled pork. Often a combo of 2 lacking. I was served a poutine the other week with at least 30% less fries and 75% less gravy?? But twice the pulled pork? I immediately told the work (and manager present) this wasn't right but was shut down with a rude response immediately. Their answer "pay extra for more gravy" but it was quite clearly less than half the usual amount. You almost couldn't see any on it. What's worse the fries were over cooked as well, I've never had a worse poutine from Outtakes. Insult to injury is them lying saying it's the "measured portion" when it was clearly much smaller than ever. Truly disappointing. Especially the manager that allowed her worker to be so dismissive and made no efforts to talk to me respectfully and work with me through the issue. Hindsight is 20/20 and I wish I took a photo. But I would not make this up. I used to always look forward to the poutine as part of my Tuesday movie viewing routine. read more
This theater sits at a good location, far from everyone I know, yet a good "inbetween" meeting point for us. So when my friend from North York and I (from Mississauga) want to watch this movie, this 20+ km drive is a usual choice. This cineplex is HUGE, definitely bigger than the Square One or Courtney Park one, and has a parking lot to match it. However, finding parking during a popular movie is still tough. So is finding a ticket. Pro Tip: Always go an hour before the movie (a popular one; past examples: Ted, The Dark Knight Rises, Looper and Man of Steel) and be prepared to stand in a line up. Watching from the front row is NEVER fun. Food source: 1. Movie grub? Pricy as usual. Additionally there's a Froyo place, Tim Hortons and Pizza Pizza. It's $7.99 for a slice of pizza and pop. Ridonculous, as a medium pepperoni pizza at an outside location costs less than that! I am not sure how the Froyo place and Tim Hortons compare. 2. Ooh! Candy Machines! $2 bucks. The ones at the mall are .25c to a $1, I believe. 3. Pre or Post Movie Grub? There's Kelsey's and then there's Montana's. I'd suggest Kelsey's. To kill time before le movie: 1. Pre Movie Grub at Kelsey's, preferably. 2. Arcade? Most games are $2. 3. If you or a friend have a Costco membership, go fill up some gas for a few cents cheaper. 4. Craving burgers? There's a Burger King and a Harvey's not too far away. 5. Something else? I think there's a Burrito boys. 6. Have a whole day to kill? There's a LCBO and a Mandarin buffet very close too. 7. Have a girl and a car? Makeout in the parking lot. Nothing's classier than that. Movie: 1. The theaters are pretty big. I've yet to see a small one in this location. Square One has some small ones. 2. They always have the 3D version of the movie playing as well (if the movie has one). Remember though, not every movie is good 3D, a.k.a. Spiderman. So do your research before you pay more for experience. 3. Cheaper Tuesdays FTW 4. Haven't come across a broken seat yet. 5. Don't try sneaking into a movie you haven't paid for. They almost always catch you. Not that I've tried ;) But I know a few people who have gotten caught before. #yeahright But, no, seriously. Uncool. xoxo read more

This theatre is so busy. All the time. What really gets my goat is that I can show up 30 minutes early to grab a good seat and then someone can show up during the previews and ask to move our entire row, so I am squished beside the late people. This really gets my goat. Show up earlier to the Queensway - it is ALWAYS busy. This theatre has the same amenities are most large cineplex's, but also has those new fangled D-Box simulator seats that jostle and move and shake in certain theatres. There is plenty of parking at Queensway, but if the parking lot is full, there is street parking on the residential street behind the Queensway for free. read more

We have been many times. but I gotta complain this time. Sure Tuesdays are popular but they need to improve their cleaning standards. I can understand a spilled pop on weekend matinees but really... its mid week. its not just the sticky floors, but the cups and garbage. Yes, its the patrons who make the mess, and to that I say WTF Toronto? Since when did you all become a bunch of third world dirty filthy habit bums? I mean, seriously, do you live like this at home too? Your arms broke and the floor is your garbage can? As for the theatre, common guys, hose the place down with some bleach for petes sake! Give a couple kids or unemployed 20 somethings a job and hand them a broom and bucket. I mean seriously do we need to call Toronto Health Department? And the flies! two clouds of fruit flies walking in from the garbage in the aisle way on theater 1 and again walking out. So disgusting..... Even the main common areas and outside the doors look and feel dirty... Think next time we need to try another location. Sure I get it, Toronto aint no Berlin or Paris but I have been in far cleaner places in Mexico City! read more

Truly, this was the most amazing theatre I've ever been to. Loved the parking Valet. Great on a cold night in Toronto. The employee at the ticket area, which is a podium, not one if those teller behind bulletproof glass numbers, said the movies get sold out days in advance due to their on line calendar & reservation system. I didn't get why, and I was shocked to hear I had assigned seats inside. But once on the doors, it made sense. Holy luxury! The plush leather seats were nicer than I've seen in most homes. Soft, roomy, comfortable. The only improvement would be that I wish they reclined a bit more. Reserve your actual seat on line, by phone, or in person but as I said , if it's a popular show, book in advance. In addition to standard movie fare, there's a full bar including buckets of beer, mini meals, cupcakes, and more. It's really an amazing home theatre experience with a bunch of strangers. It is high class movie going. Awesome place - read more

I had my first VIP experience this past Saturday night to see "The Hundred Foot Journey". Everything was great EXCEPT I had people (middle aged and older) around me who talked throughout the movie and ate very noisily. My hope was by paying double to see a movie was I'd be sitting with a 'higher class' of movie goer - NOT SO! The usual warning with the trailers (turn off phone, don't talk or kick seats, etc.) was missing as I guess it was assumed it wasn't needed. Unfortunately, it is. It would be really nice for ushers to stay IN THE CINEMA DURING A MOVIE TO MONITOR PATRON'S BEHAVIOUR AND 'SHSSS' FOLKS WHO WON'T BE QUIET. read more

I went to the VIP Section. The seats were comfy and the food was way more than I thought it would be, i was really full from eating. I went with my girlfriend and we just cuddle while we watch the movie. It almost feels like at home. The only problem I had was calling ahead of time to speak with someone. It was our first time to VIP and we weren't sure about a few things about the services. So my recommendation is answer your phone read more

Great movie theatre! A wide variety of food including Tim Horton's, frozen yoghurt, nachos, pizza, popcorn, etc. Also includes a VIP section which is nice. Me and my girlfriend love going to the VIP section for date night. It is nice to sit in larger, comfier seats and enjoy some good food and a beer. Only downfall is the pricey tickets and food, but that is not exclusive to this cinema they're all expensive. read more

This was back in November, but it was the first time that I ever went to a VIP exclusive theatre, and it was an awesome experience. I especially loved the live music in the lounge area - it made it feel like an entirely unique movie going experience, like we were really making a night of it. The performance was very polished. I'll definitely be back! read more
