I went here with some family to play some games and see a movie. Games were standard fun arcade games and nothing to complain about. Service was very slow. When we got drinks before our movie the soft drink area was very dirty and gross. We had to wait 10-15 longer to get into our movie because the theatre was left particularly dirty and only one person cleaning it. I understand how dirty is was is not there fault but i think we could have more than one person cleaning. After that we had ordered some mozzarella sticks that seemed like they were frozen and only heated up enough to eat properly overall the were not good. We had a good time nonetheless but if you are just watching a movie i recommend just going to a a regular movie theatre. But if you are wanting to play games and possibly do the climbing course absolutely go it is fun for small occasions! read more

I had a movie start at 11:00 it's 47 degrees outside and employees are just standing around watching a group of 4 people waiting to get in our tickets were pre paid. I'm usually patient and will wait but a movie starts at 11:00 and you won't even open the doors until then? read more

We go to the Cinergy in Odessa quite frequently and have so much fun. We came to the one I'm midland and was completely underwhelmed. It's ridiculously hot and Crazy crowded! No where to sit and talk and nobody knew what to do. Our food came out 2 hours later and it was cold. If it wasn't for the sliders still being absolutely amazing, I would give it a 1 star. The games work occasionally the service is slower than slugs they take no cash except tips which they won't earn because the food even hot dogs are served raw!!! I've spent over $1000 in 2 summers allowing my husband to waste his money on this sad oil field dad establishment to buy his kids time. But go to Chuck E Cheese the drive in or Mr. G pizza before you blow another $$ on recliners you hear people spilling or peeing in and literally saw someone vomit a few weeks ago!!! If I could give -1 I would and as you can tell I often defend this horrid oilfield hell and support their half service businesses. What I like the most was the ability to choose where you wanna seat and see how full the room is going to be ahead of time. Your seat is guaranteed this way. Food service is a good idea but needs work. Takes too long to get your food. From the kitchen to the screen they don't cover it so it is cold by the time you get it. read more

I'm really disappointed in this theatre and won't be coming back. When I went to pay for my food with cash they told me I had to either use a credit card or put money on their "fun pass." Which of course if you put $20 on a pass and spend $14 on food you are losing $6. That crap is unAmerican and definitely doesn't belong in West Texas. Disclaimer: We did visit Cinergy a week after opening. Now on to the trashing... We are Midland natives but former Austin residents and were expecting something similar to the Alamo Drafthouse. That's what we get for expecting I suppose. First off, their location might as well be in Odessa for us, it is quite the trek for most any Midland resident unless you live in some of the newer developments off of W Loop 250. At any rate, we arrived a good 30 minutes before the show so as to properly get a good look at the menu and have a drink or two. It is very arcade-ish upon entry a la D&B, but we were there for a movie so we bypassed all of those attractions and made our way to a shocking discovery. This theater may serve a "full" menu, but the service isn't all that different from the traditional concession stand. You wait in line, you place your order and then you make your way into the theater only to be buzzed by a tacky pager and meet the "server" half way to receive your food. But first, let me just say, they were out of what felt like everything. Mahi Tacos...nope. Grilled Chicken Sandwich...try again. Bacon Burger? Yeah, we can do that, but you'll still be hungry after. And this review is truncated because the experience with the 86'd items was dramatically lengthy and displeasing to say the least. But on to the next disappointment. The chairs. If you're in the habit of reclining at a 45 degree angle while you eat, then this chair is for you. If you prefer to sit upright like me, well, guess your posture will just have to be your backrest. Then there is...THE TRAY. Whoever designed this tray did not have ergonomics in mind in the least and once again, it missed the Drafthouse mark by not having an accessible table on which to set said tray. Lap or floor, choose wisely. By the time it was all said and done, 50 bucks later, the only thing we could take away from our experience was that Captain Philips is a pretty decent flick. Not sure what all the bad reviews are about. We come here all the time. The place is clean and well maintained. The staff is friendly. No long lines as you can order online and print at a self service screen. Pick your seats so you don't have to show up super early to fight for a seat. Food is good. They deliver right to your seats on hot food. Seats are very comfortable. Much better then alternatives in the area. read more

Normally, based just on the entertainment experience, I would give them 4 stars. But I just had a great experience with the management and that earns them the fifth star. From my perspective this is the best place to see a movie in overcrowded Midland (& Odessa). This place is much cleaner, and I think the seats are super comfortable. And being able to buy tickets ahead and choose the seats works well when just about every movie is full. No waiting, just roll in, get your tickets - no stress about finding good seats. It does get busy, but what doesn't get busy around here? Once you get past the kids and commotion of the entry it's not that bad. The lines aren't any worse than the other options in the area - usually better, with better attitudes from the employees. I do wish they had a bathroom on the other side of the ticket station. But again, the management took care of perfectly - they were quick to respond and went above and beyond in helping me out. Kudos to a business that still actually cares about their customers. The theaters are very nice, however management needs to step up and do a better job of keeping babies and young children out of inappropriate movies, the crying and talking during these movies is unfair to others. Reporting it does no good. Cell phone use during the movies is also a problem, reporting that also does not get any results. We go to Cinergy once a week, sometimes 2-3 times depending on what movies are playing, besides all of that money being spent we always buy concessions, you would think they care about your business but they don't!! read more

There's so much going on as you walk in they should have people available to provide some assistance and point the way to ticket stand etc... I have been to Cinergy a variety of times and had no complaints until they actually had to provide customer service. The movie my friends and I went to see yesterday cut out and froze so many times I actually had to leave the theatre to get someone to fix it. Once it was fixed there were still glitches but in a theatre packed with people, I didn't feel as though I was required to be the one that continued to alert technical support! BOY WAS I WRONG! As we left the theatre, we were asked about our experience and we were honest and said that the movie continued having glitches even though someone came and fixed it. She went and grabbed a manager, a different one from who I initially had spoken with (Nick). This second manager, Jason, approached us with an attitude, stating that he went and fixed the movie and that he had heard no further complaints. That's when I told him that this, us speaking with him, is a further complaint. He went back and forth, seemingly ill-equipped for his position as a manager meant to provide customer service. He also accused us of asking another manager for a refund and being told no. Yes falsely accusing customers of trying to work the system, I guess all customers look alike to them. Needless to say the ambassador went and found Nick again. Although he didn't seem like he was able to give us more answers than Jason, his approach was much more professional and empathic and Jason continued to hover over the conversation, which in itself made me uncomfortable. We left with zero answers with the knowledge that (A) this issue will not be resolved by the GM, whom we were told would be in contact and (B) none of our group of 10 will return. The facility is beautiful but it does nothing if the poor customer service leaves the smell of poop in the air. read more

Love the idea of getting to choose your own seat, HUGE bonus, but the entrance with all the games makes it hard to get to the shows.

Ok...where do I begin? First of all, I'm confused on the focus group of this theater. There's a kids area right in the front where they can basically be attached to some straps & climb around above your head & at the same time, this place sells beers? Hummmmm... You walk up to these machines, pick your movie & then you HAVE to pick your seat...WHY? What if I get in & want a different seat? Makes no sense. Then I go to the concession stand & they were slow as hell! 10 mins in a line that only had 1 person in front of me...WTF? Then, we get in the movie...the seat were comfortable but there was a baby in the movie acting a dang fool! Why do people bring there babies? Get a babysitter or stay home. Anyway the attendant heard the baby but NEVER said anything. Then after the movie, I talked to 3 different people who just looked at me stupidly cause I was mad about the crying ass baby. I HATE how Odessa has NO sense of customer service or care for the customers! I probably won't come back here again & although they bring you your food, it's NOTHING like studio movie grill! This is the best movie theater I have ever been to. It's extremely clean, the seats are large and comfortable, the stadium seating is amazing (best views--no looking at the back of someone's head), great food (you can even get a bucket of beer), and awesome screens with no defects. The best part is ordering your tickets online and picking out your seats ahead of time--no more stressing out if you will get a good seat or needing to get there 30 minutes early. There is only one bathroom that I saw and it's not in the back part with the movie theater doors, so that is a little bit of a pain, but not enough to bump the rating down a star. The games, laser tag, and "skywalker" thing are fun and colorful add-ons. Yes, it can be crowded in the evenings, but the lines move fast and, like I said, your seats are assigned, so no-worries! read more

Some employees were great and friendly, others ignored you. They should make sure everyone understands the food delivery system like Alamo Drafthouse in Austin does. However the theatre was clean, the food was good, sound quality/picture was great, and I enjoyed the movie-going experience very much. Love the early bird prices! Haven't seen a movie during the laser tag hours yet, so I don't know how chaotic that is, but it seems like a really fun, decent place to take your kids, albeit pricey if you do games, food, movie, and laser tag or sky walk. read more

Update: I wrote a letter and mailed it to Cinergy the very next day. I figure that you should give a business the option of correcting problems or adjusting for slack on upkeep or customer comfort & service. It's been a month, and I've received No Response. That tells me that they do not care that there is a strong rat urine smell, that they do not care that maintenance rolls trash can into the theatre the last 5 to 10 minutes of the movie and stands in front of the audience, ruining the experience for all concerned and that they could care less that they select the theatre furthest from the single, solitary bathroom to run the longest playing movie on any of their screens. read more

I can not stand this place. I liked the idea it catered to kids, midland needs more kid friendly or family oriented places. BUT It's more of a teen hang out, every time I have been here the teens are just rude and literally running into you all the time. We went early one day and it was younger kids, much better but still didn't love the theater, the chairs aren't very comfortable and the concession delivery is kind of annoying. The one thing that we did enjoy was the pizza, it was really good. We decided to not return here again and will just continue the normal theater. Also, you buy tickets for a specific seat and they're always taken when you get in there. They should have picked a better spot to place the ticket purchasing area as well. All in all we do not like this place and have a few friends who don't either. If you can go early and avoid teenage kids.. You may enjoy it much more read more
