The women's restroom were in horrible maintenance, no toilet paper in almost all stalls. There was no soap in the women's restroom. What is going on here cinepolis luxury pff ! Really the other person in the stall can see everything of yours. The food was way too salty.

First time ordering chicken strips /fries 7/10 not bad! Always have to order an ICEE cherry /coke No popcorn this time. Sat on row D12 & D13 /theatre 6 for Jurassic rebirth Gentleman to my left was talking throughout the whole movie & kept turning his screen on to his phone . Ruins the movie theatre experience + you don't want to get up & go notify the floor manager & miss your movie time.

Nice theater but they seriously price gouge. I can't believe I spent $62 on just snacks and the OJ $8 that's just ridiculous, I didn't even notice the price because their monitor screen only lists the combos but since my child wanted a juice I ordered it thinking it would be $5 max. I think with reasonable prices the theaters would be packed but it's no surprise why it was a slow Saturday for them!

Pico Rivera Cinepolis Theater was an enjoyable experience for me. I saw "Harry Potter and The Deathly Hollows, Part I" for $5.00. Yes, it's an older movie but I find it enjoyable to see films I missed in theater the first time, given an opportunity again. Beforehand, I ordered popcorn and soda. I always find theatre food to be expensive but decided I could splurge a little since the film was relatively inexpensive. Both the inside and outside of the theater are well maintained. Everything is clean. I plan on coming back to see Part II of The Deathly Hollows. I went back the next day to see a regularly priced film. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to eat in advance. I ordered a margarita pizza. Was it cheap, no. It was the price of a regularly priced pizza. Was it scrumptious, not necessarily but it was fine. The cashier who takes your order asks for your ticket and based on that, the food gets delivered to your seat. This allows you to not miss the movie. Other items such as popcorn and drinks are given at purchase. There is a huge arcade area, with seating. They serve alcohol so there is an option of getting a drink before the movie and relaxing. There are plentiful bathrooms that are also kept clean. There's plenty of parking, as well. Surrounding the theatre are places to eat such as Don Chente, Raising Cane's, and Little Caesar's, if you have time before or after. In general, I'd recommend this establishment.

Great concept, great experience and so fun for the kids. The pros: play area of course, 10 min intermission, full menu and bar!!! Cons: no tables to eat from, and the parents didn't watch their kids during the movie so there were interruptions. Overall in highly recommend this experience because the pros outweigh the cons.

Took my toddler here for a movie and it was cute and super child friendly with a play area inside the theater. She loved it but once the lights went out she was afraid of the dark. So we went into the lounger area where she thoroughly enjoyed the arcade games. Most of the games were not working so that was disappointing but since she's only 3 she didn't notice she wasn't actually playing now of the games. I would give it 5 stars but definitely wish the games were all active.

We went to a 4DX showing of a K-pop concert. It was my first time going to a 4DX movie theatre (and also a K-pop concert movie). The theatre is really clean, and the 4DX show was fun. It was kinda weird to have the seats dancing for you, and the added movement for the crash zooms, and whatever, but it was a fun time. I could see the 4DX being really cool for an action movie or a summer blockbuster. The staff was super friendly and helpful, and I loved that they had bottomless popcorn and Icees - I'm still pooping blue days later. ;-) My only complaint is that the caramel popcorn really sucked. I was excited that they had it, but then when we actually sat in the theatre and ate it, we found that there were a *lot* of unpopped kernels stuck to the caramel corn. I get that they probably make it quickly because they have to serve a lot of people, but it made it just outright unpleasant. The three of us had to spit out the unpopped kernels into napkins as we tried to enjoy the show and get tossed around during the concert. I don't think I'd get the caramel popcorn the next time unless they manage to fix the issue. I took half a bag home because I wanted to see how many kernels there actually were in half a bag of caramel popcorn. It's a lot (see picture). Everything else was great, and I think my friend (the K-pop fan) really enjoyed the night out. It was worth the drive (about 30 min for us) so that's saying a lot.

I enjoyed watching Wonka while eating popcorn, slush, and pizza, playing arcade games at Cinepolis in Pico Rivera. The theater seats are super comfortable, and the workers are extremely friendly! I definitely need to come back to watch Dune 2!

Ask the Community - Cinépolis Luxury Cinemas

Are the movies shown here in Spanish?

Unless there is Spanish in the movie, it's going to be English.

Is the toddler area (under 3yo) open while the movie is showing?

No it isn't. It is only open during the beginning of the play time and the 10 min intermission that is half way through the movie.

Do they play movies in español latino?

They do but it varies It's best to check the site for show times since most movies are not subtitled

Do you still have Tuesday special discount?

Yes they do! $6 tickets with the exception of the 4dx that is half price The JR theater is not discounted… Read more

    Do you take Apple Pay?

No they don't....just went yesterday 5/5/22

When will the theater open again?

    It's open already

Las películas tienen subtítulos en español?

"Bad Boys for Life" es todo por ahora.

Can you buy tickets in person on the kiosk a day before for the movies tmrw?

Yes you! But you are only able to pay with a credit card no cash or digital pay

Can you book a birthday party, and what is the estimated price for group of 15-20?

You can but you would have to go on the site at cinepolisUSA.com . Click on the tab Events and that should give you a breakdown or you can also contact them cia email for a quicker reponse

    Ponen películas en español?

Nunca he visto anuncios de películas o subtítulos en español.

How do you know your purchasing tickets for the JR theater?

When you are on the site. There will be a specific section with the Header JR theater , the show times right underneath are for the JR Theater

Are the sodas and popcorn free refills?

Nope. I specifically asked once because the large popcorn isn't very big and they said there were no refills.

Do they have recliners on all screenings?

Yes ! they all have recliners except for the 4DX theater

Can u take food from outside in the theatre?

Not into the theater itself but there's tables in the lobby area that you can sit down and eat. I don't think any theater allows you to take outside food into it.

What is the current (April 2019) Student ticket price?

Not sure, I suggest you call.

How's the 4dx experience? Do you guys recommended for Avengers End game?

4DX is pretty immersive so I'd say yes it would be a lot of fun for me. Not everyone's preference is the same though. Avengers is an action movie so you can expect those chairs will move a lot, which sounds fun to me!

Can you watch movies in spanish?

Yes but it varies on availability I would recommend calling in or checking the site

Does this Cinépolis location have a bar?

Nope. But they just started to serve beer and wine.

    Do they offer student discount?

    Yes they do.

Can you order food online before the movie?

No not for this location but they will happily take any kitchen food you order to your seat so you don't wait around like in another theater.

If you are looking for a premium theater though, then a different location like Santa Anita would be a better fit. Overall, I think the pros of this theater outweigh the cons. Pros: Comfortable, fully reclining seats with plenty of legroom. Screen and audio quality are pretty good. The theater is fairly clean and well-maintained. Seat reservations can be easily made online. Plenty of parking available in the shared plaza. Cons: Does not offer IMAX with Laser or Dolby Cinema. Only 10 screens, so selections are more limited.

They have their signature recliners that most AMC provides but they're a bit outdated in my opinion. Other AMCs like the one in Arcadia have their signature recliners more updated color wise and comfortability as well. They're also bigger which is nice to see. So this could get a big updated here in Montebello. Staff here is pretty quick, I have a AMC member account and saw that there's two lines to purchase concessions but the priority line (member line) had more people than the non member line, a bit of a funny moment there as my partner and I lined up at the non member line and got out popcorn quicker than the priority line. Parking is plenty, free in a large shared lot. You'll have a harder time not finding parking to be honest. One thing I can appreciate is that they keep the venue clean, plenty of restrooms around, speakers during the movies are pretty modernized as well which is nice as movie ticket prices these days are not cheap.

This was one of the most disappointing theater experiences I've had…read more I attended the 9:00 PM showing of Scary Movie 6 on June 4 to celebrate my birthday. My friend drove long distance to join me, only to be denied entry because theater staff CLAIMED that children were not permitted for that showing EVEN THOUGH MY NIECE WAS ACCOMPANIED BY HER PARENTS. What made the situation frustrating was that, once inside the theater, I noticed another guest had been allowed to enter with a child. If the theater has a policy regarding children attending R-rated movies, that policy should be enforced consistently for everyone. Turning some guests away while allowing others to enter under the same circumstances feels unfair and unprofessional. Because of this inconsistency, my friend had to leave and missed the movie entirely after making the effort to come celebrate with me. The experience put a damper on what was supposed to be a special evening. Unfortunately, I did not get the name of the supervisor or manager who assisted us. However, management should be able to identify the employee who was overseeing guest admissions for the 9:00 PM showing of Scary Movie 6 on June 4. I understand that theaters have rules and policies, and I respect that. My issue is not with the policy itself, but with the apparent lack of consistency in how it was applied. I left feeling frustrated and unfairly treated, and I hope management reviews this matter so future customers are treated fairly and consistently.

The counter gentleman didn't know what was happening, nor did he know the ticket was associated with a "cancelled" movie. Ok. Got it. My issue is with the "manager". She was in no way apologetic. Just said that there were "projector issues" and that we could receive our refund via Fandango. I stood there, amazed. No genuine care for the fact that our day date was ruined. I first told her that even though it's a 3rd party app, AMC should be responsible for the communication issue. After I repeatedly told her how upset I was, she asked me what I thought I deserved, or something to that effect. I don't know. I run restaurants. You run movie theatre's. I know what I would do for you if you were my guest. She reluctantly offered me passes. Thanks. Then I waited for someone to acknowledge me for return on a pre-ordered popcorn. Crickets. The manager came to refund the popcorn. She asked for the order number. "Just ONE popcorn"? Ya. One popcorn. It's a luxury to eat $11 popcorn and I choose to feed my kids healthy 99% of their meals. Do I need to explain that? No. Don't judge a guest for the 1 or 20 items they order. Just refund them. As I went to show it to her, she aggressively grabbed my phone out of my hand. Ummm, excuse me. So I decided to go with gf in tow, on a Saturday night, for 8:10pm…read moreshowing I did remember to come early to get a good spot to park. 39 minutes early is the latest to come. Otherwise you will be waiting in a huge line and may be fighting for a good spot, so you can be far away from the we*d smokers or smokers of any kind, if you are a nonsmoker like we are . Prices are still cheap. Only $14 for general admission (12 and older). Way better than walk in theater general admission prices. Pretty sure ticket prices are cash. So make sure you have cash for tickets. We came to see Mortal Kombat II. Which was amazing. I never saw the first movie. But you don't have to have seen the first to follow this movie. One reason I wanted to see this movie is Mortal Kombat II is my favorite video game (SNES) version of the MK video games. The best place to see an action movie is on the massive drive-in theater movie screen. Not Imax, etc. So we went here. Another great thing about drive in theaters is you can bring your own food and you can have privacy with your date inside your vehicle, if you know what I mean . Just have privacy glass. Because a family of kids can be parked next to your vehicle. If you want, you can bring chairs and sit outside your vehicle and watch. Which is also a great choice. Especially if you have kids. They will love sitting outside. If you do sit outside, bring a coat, blanket, etc. It gets cold at night. The concession is cheap af and not like walk in movie theater prices. For example, their large popcorn is huge. Yet its only $10 with taxes. We got ours with extra butter. They offer a lot of other good stuff too at great prices. But we only wanted warm popcorn with extra butter. I saw some raggedy ATM machines in there. Not sure if concession got them there so you can use cash to buy food. But I didn't ask as I already had some cash on me to buy popcorn. So make sure you bring cash for concession as well. Make sure you vehicle radio can tune to 90.1 FM and you can leave it on without it draining your battery and without parking/headlights being activated. It drives us movie goers crazy when some foolish person will turn on their headlights while everyone else is trying to enjoy the film. Also, if you need a radio for showing, you can buy one from them for $20 at concession. Great experience here. I love this place. Like I said, I havent been here in like 6 years. Last time I was here, one ticket paid for double feature. Which was a steal. Because after Mortal Kombat II, I was looking forward to seeing Michael again. Which we already saw at a walk in theater. But we were ready to see it again on the biggest screen ever. They dont do double features anymore. So if the website shows two movies, dont misread like I did. It clearly says: "TICKETS ARE FOR A SINGLE SHOW TIME ONLY." I was wondering why everyone was leaving after Mortal Kombat II was over . We stayed in vehicle until security drove by and told us they only do single features. We weren't the only ones he had to tell. Great experience here. Cant wait to see another larger than life movie here.

Somehow there was always one ingredient missing... the truck, the timing, or the friends willing to do it.Last night it finally happened.I convinced two of my guy friends to go with me -- one visiting from Missouri and one from Temecula -- and we were all ridiculously excited. We honestly didn't think we were going to make it because our movie didn't start until 11 PM, but we pushed through. We had a bonfire first, and right as it turned 11 and we were getting ready to leave, I tripped, fell, and sprained my ankle. Worst timing ever. But if there's one thing about me, I do not like bailing on plans. I said nope, we're still going. We were just going to be sitting anyway, all cuddled up in the back of the truck with blankets and pillows, so I powered through. I tried really hard to get comfortable, and even with the ankle situation, it was still such a fun experience. This one is definitely going down in the memory books. There's just something so nostalgic and special about a drive-in movie. It feels like one of those classic '80s activities that hardly exists anymore, which honestly makes me sad. I'm so glad we finally did it, and I would absolutely do it again. If you've been thinking about doing a drive-in movie night, take this as your sign. Do it.

The chairs are actually sticky. It's gross. This does not "make movies better". Now for the theater itself. The lighting is so poorly designed in the imax that the light washes out a good part of the screen. This does not "make movies better". This is a terrible location. The theater looks like it was put together in someone's basement or garage. I watch movies for a living. I see movies in theaters from here to Australia. This theater puts the LIE in liemax. It must just barely meet the requirements to be called imax. The only relation it has to any real imax screen is possibly the aspect ratio. The screen appears to have just been stuck on wall. The aesthetics are ghetto at best. Again, this isn't making movies better.
