For months I saw the sign for this antique store not far from Arzi's restaurant. I kept wanting to…read morego in, but never had the time. Today I finally had some time to peruse around, and I am very glad that I did! It took me a while to walk the entire store, but I really enjoyed the setup. Most of the furniture was staged with vintage and antique items to look like actual rooms, even though there are no real partitions throughout the store. In terms of stock, everything was good quality. No junk here! Their selection of vintage and costume jewelry is excellent as well. I bought a lovely brooch and earrings. The prices here are very reasonable, and the owner is very knowledgeable about her stock. One would expect this to be the case in an antique store; however, I have gone into MANY antique stores with poorly labeled, over-priced antiques and sellers who did not really know what they are selling. My favorite so far were the brulot glasses I found in uptown New Orleans labeled "Irish Mugs." I'll share that story another time. The owner is also amazingly helpful, upbeat, and energetic. If you are looking for antiques/vintage in Baton Rouge, do not miss this place!

It has been 6 days and I have not been refunded. Upon stopping by the OWNER told me I needed to call my bank and they had done their part. Never once apologized for the mistake or my hardship of being without a large chunk of money. When I expressed frustration I was yelled at in front of other customers to "leave her store". I have never been more embarrassed or humiliated by someone who claims to be running a business. Still not once was I given an apology. Not on the day I was overcharged and not today. This place is a glorified Lancaster House that is open more than just the once a month. So disappointed to have this sort of business in our community. Shame on you.

An employee helped me carry my things to an area of the store to drop there. There is not a form to fill out for tax purposes, at least, not easily accessible, and the employee did not really help with that. This place has a lot of stuff. I mean, bursting at the seams, a lot a lot. They could benefit from a really good clean out. It's probably a fire hazard. But if you are in the mood to dig, have at it. At Christmastime, they have a ton of decorations and artificial trees. There are all sort of furniture and chairs and wall decor. The last time I went, there were three car seats in the front. The staff is friendly. The store says that they assist veterans in our community, but I never know how to check if it is actually true or not. So, if you're in the mood to dig (and I mean, need a shovel dig), this is your spot. But there really is too much stuff, and the thought of someone falling or a fire starting makes me nervous for anyone in the store.
