We hired Circa Vintage Rentals for our wedding in March, and unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing. Our rental delivery was scheduled for 9:00 a.m., and we were told there would be a team to help unload and set up the equipment. Instead, only two people arrived around 12:00-1:00 p.m. Thankfully, we had amazing friends and family who stepped in to unload and set everything up. Without their help, our wedding would not have been ready in time. To make matters worse, the chairs had apparently been spray-painted the day before our wedding. My husband had to personally wipe down every chair to prevent fresh paint from transferring onto our guests' clothing. Much of the rental equipment also arrived dirty, adding even more stress on a day that should have been enjoyable. While those issues alone were frustrating, the biggest disappointment has been the audio guest book. We paid in full upfront, partly to secure this service. The contract states that recordings would be returned within two weeks of the event, yet it has now been four months. We've repeatedly been told that our audio would be delivered "soon," but it still hasn't been provided. Unfortunately, the audio guest book was our only guest book. Those messages from our family and loved ones are irreplaceable, and we're now left wondering if we'll ever receive them. Throughout this process, the staff has been quick to apologize, but apologies have never been followed by action. We tried to be patient and understanding, but instead, our kindness felt taken advantage of. In the end, my husband ended up doing much of the work that we paid this company to do. I cannot recommend Circa Vintage Rentals based on our experience. Couples deserve a vendor they can rely on, especially on one of the most important days of their lives. read more

I put in a rental request a week ago via the website & filled out the questionnaire that was sent. This morning, after not having heard back yet, I called teh number listed in the email to follow up. A gentlemen answered the phone, "Circa rentals, how may I help you" to which I responded and said hello and gave my name and then asked to whom I was speaking with. To which he replied "i don't give information out over the phone" and then hung up on me. I then tried to call back and was ignored. This is incredibly rude. With vendors being so far and few in Joshua Tree, it was terrible that this one didn't work for us. I messaged them in February, and after not hearing back via Yelp, I called. After calling, I received an email from Rainy, to which I promptly responded to, and was never heard from again. I followed up with an email to check in, as I was 1000% dead-set on hiring them for my very small wedding, but nothing. So I moved on. Fast forward, it's now the middle of May. Not only did I not hear back, I got what looks an an automated email stating now that they were done with Coachella, and they have time to get back to their clients, to which I politely declined but aired my grievances. Brianna, who has since been emailing me back, is nothing but defensive. Here's the thing--we ALL mess up, but when you have your back against a wall, instead of fighting your way forward, try apologizing. Instead of giving excuses about being a small business owner, just apologize and see what you can do. This was her response to me stating how I felt about being overlooked because I had a small guest list--in FEBRUARY--their slow month, anyway: It's May. I was called the day after I submitted an inquiry and Rainey asked questions to understand the needs of our event. She was very informative and sent over the proposal a few weeks prior to the event. She also quickly drafted up an adjustment we had to make. The day of the delivery they were so friendly, hardworking, and kind, and arrived plenty of time ahead for us to set up for dinner. All of the rentals were of quality and looked new/unused. Knowing it was my husband's birthday, she even provided a cake stand for free which I found so sweet! Rainey was also clear about the chargers being brand new (unboxed) which was exciting as the first time users. Sadly, there was some damage to them which may have occurred during travel (this wasn't a bother as the plates sat on them anyway), but I was worried about returning them that way. When I mentioned it to her the next day, she was extremely apologetic and didn't question our use or handling of them... I really appreciated her trust in us as customers. Overall, working with Circa could not have gone any better. From their communication, to the quality of products, and the professionalism and friendliness of the business owners, everything was five stars. Also, they have acknowledged they owe us a refund and have said we would have it "by the end of the week" for months. What's even more disappointing is them blaming their abhorrent service on the wildfires. Their lack of communication and unprofessionalism started well before then and well after. It's disgusting. We met with her and Oskar one evening months prior to our wedding. Since my fiance and I both worked during the day, Rainy and Oskar were kind enough to accommodate us and meet us later in the evening so we can see their inventory without rushing. We were very impressed by their inventory and their pricing package. We had met with another company prior to finding Circa Vintage and for the price of renting one item from the other company, we rented our whole collection of decor for the wedding. We discussed with them what we wanted and they customized a package for us. They discussed every line item so there were no hidden fees. Everything was straightforward. They were even so kind as to throw in a few nicknacks to complete our display just because my fiance was being such an impressively involved groom. For the budget conscious bride, this is definitely the place to go. On the day of the wedding, Oskar and Rainy arrived on time and quickly set everything up. I am a wedding planner and so many vendors these days are MIA, don't return emails or just don't care about you till the week of the event ( beyond annoying), but circa is sooooo not like the others. Rain was on top of everything, is early for deliveries and pick up's. Plus she is their to oversee the deliveries and pick up's... So many vendors just send their staff. (from my wife:) Circa provided tables and chairs for my outdoor wedding. It was lovely to meet and chat with Rainy and her husband who delivered and set up the site in 90+ degree weather. They were helpful in recommending placements of things when at first it just looked a bit off with our original planned floorplan. We had white metal chairs that she even added a touch of spray paint to. Prior to finalizing/completing the set up, they had a family emergency and had to leave, but Rainy came by the next morning before the wedding and touched base again. Not only were the modern farm tables PERFECT for our Moab, UT camping wedding but Rainy and her team were exactly the vibe of vendors that we needed for our crazy wedding: positive, helpful, knowledgeable! One of the best bits of advice we can give to other couples planning their wedding is to choose vendors who have a positive attitude in addition to their portfolio! You want all good vibes on your wedding day :-) The rentals were gorgeous pieces! Our design aesthetic is "bohemian modern" and pretty much everything in the showroom fit our wedding vibe perfectly! When my fiancé (now husband) and I first got engaged and started planning our wedding, I knew immediately that I wanted wooden farm-house style tables for our reception. It was the first detail we decided on and the tables from Circa Vintage Rentals were the first vendors I booked. We rented 14 wooden table from them and they were beautiful - and one tenth of the whole wedding budget. I subtracted one star because I feel the communication is lacking. There were several time I tried to call to confirm something or to ask a question about delivery times, etc, and they took a long time to get back to me. Sometimes weeks. When you call them their voicemail implores you to send them an email, as they don't regularly check their voicemail. But I would email and often have to email again at least once or twice before I would get a response. They are clearly very busy and have many "in demand" items, it seems they could benefit from improved office management. They came on time and were set up by the delivery guys. Overall, I'm highly impressed by their level of professionalism and the vast selection of their beautiful items! I simply cannot sing their praises enough. That would make Circa Vintage the lowest priced vendor, and though the offer is very enticing, since it is budget-friendly, I am already close to booking with another vendor at this point. I truly appreciate her offer of trying to make things right and I am truly sad I could not use Circa Vintage's services at this time.
