We've now bought a dining table + chair set, two armchairs, an office chair, and a sectional couch from Circle. We love all of the items we've bought, and Circle's customer service and delivery service are great. Sure, they are pricier than Target or IKEA... but you're also buying actual grown-up furniture that will last you decades if not a lifetime, and that you will actually want to sit in-- not rock-hard college-student crap furniture that is more suited for stacking boxes on than actually sitting in. If you can afford to play in the big leagues, Circle is well worth your money. read more

I paid for a chair at the Framingham store last Wednesday (Dec. 17, 2025) and the sales person did not inform me that the store would be closed. I have left numerous messages on the store line and the corporate line and no one is returning my calls. The Acton store is also closed. They sell quality furniture and provide excellent service. In fact, I have even purchased wood bedroom pieces over the phone without going to the store; knowing they would be exactly what I expected. I've always had great experiences at Circle Furniture, and the items I've purchased have held up for years and frequent moves. The boxed stuff and cheaper stuff doesn't usually survive a move. The deliveries can take quite awhile, but they do a great job and have delivered great service. In-store, I tend to be picky and visit a few times before making a decision. The associates have always treated me kindly and gone above and beyond, sending reminders and follow-up information to help me make a good decision for my space and needs. I highly recommend this store if it's in your budget! Seeing some of the less than positive reviews worries me, but I'm planning a room design and haven't yet made a final decision, and the service has been up to my expectations so far. read more

In late July, I decided that I wanted to treat myself to some high quality furniture, and since I know what high quality Ekornes Stressless chairs are supposed to have, I looked around for dealers that were open, and found that Circle carried them. Luckily, Circle was open and had barely any customers in the store, and they were following all the recommendations for health and safety with respect to COVID transmission, so I felt safe going into the store and spending a significant amount of time testing and selecting a chair to purchase. In early August, after spending several hours in the store on different days trying out Stressless chairs, I decided to order a very nice one, priced at approximately $3500, one of the most expensive models. I was given a delivery estimate for this chair of 12-16 weeks, which is pretty standard for custom furniture, so that was not an issue. Furthermore, the salesperson I worked with most of the time, Nancy Tracy, was extremely patient and kind, and she was a delight to work with. The only issue I had with interactions I had with her is that I ended up on the Circle mailing lists for advertisements, which I explicitly indicated (and she confirmed) that I would not be added to. Anyways, fast-forward to November 28, and my chair was delivered. Barely over 16 weeks, but all said, not a problem. One expects delays with these things. That said, this opened the door to a few problems, which I'll elaborate on below. When the chair was delivered, the white-glove delivery people were wearing masks and gloves, which is great. Unfortunately, while they waited approximately one minute for me to come to the door from the time they rang the bell, they placed the fully assembled chair down on my driveway, which is concrete, but also has bits of gravel and is dirty, like I imagine most driveways are. When I inspected the chair after it was delivered to my room of choice, I noticed the bottom of the base had some very nasty scrapes and gouges in it, due to mishandling similar to the delivery people placing it on my driveway. I took photos of the damage with the delivery people still present, and they indicated that Circle shouldn't have any issues refunding me for the damage. The next thing I did after that was contact Nancy by email, who got back to me a bit slowly (I believe she was out on the holidays), and she directed me to contact Lisa in customer service, and provided me a phone number. When I spoke to Lisa this morning, I was astounded to be informed that Circle would not be refunding me for the damage. Lisa claimed that this was a completely reasonable kind of damage to have on a $3000+ chair, and so it turned out that I paid $99 for the privilege of having someone damage my chair, not just assemble and deliver it (which I would have been perfectly happy to do, but I opted not to, since $99 for white glove assembly and delivery is not a bad deal.) The option I was given was to return the chair, paying yet another $99 return fee, and be refunded what I paid minus the $99 delivery fee I paid. This was an absolutely horrible customer experience, as I would expect that at the very least, Circle would happily offer to refund the full price of shipping, but I would also expect that on such a large high quality purchase that was mishandled, they would at least refund me 10-20% of the original purchase price as well, for the good will. After all, if I returned the item due to it not being as described (an undamaged, new condition custom chair), Circle would be out a lot more than 10-20% given that they would need to re-sell it as a used item presumably with a markdown in that range. In the future, I will most certainly go elsewhere for my high quality furniture purchases, as for me, excellent customer service is a crucial part of any purchasing experience, and particularly for very expensive ones. read more

One of my favorite places to shop for good quality furnature. Serive is great, prices are a little high, but the quality is very good. I recently had a problem with a Berkley Bed I bought there 10 years ago. Alicia - Sr. Design Consultant took my customer service call and provided expert help to try and first diagnose the damage to the under-the-bed drawer. She was very patient and expert on directing me. After a few short minutes, it looked like a replacement component would be needed. She took the request to the manufacturer which is drop shipping the part after just a day. Follow-up Emails and all, I would say the customer service at Circle is excellent and the suppliers they use are just top-notch and willing to back thier product. These are the kinds of businesses you want to work with when it's something nice for your home. Go Circle! read more

The result, I had to pay to return them and my credit card still hasn't been credited for the balance. This is a horrible company. People were not helpful and I lost so much money. We had a great experience here and recommend this business. We ordered a Bennet sofa in March 2021. Nancy explained the options available in the styles we were considering, answered our questions, and gave us context around the manufacturing situation (specifically the ways the supply chain shortages were affecting manufacturing and delivery times). She was upfront with us that it would take at least four months to get our sofa and that she couldn't guarantee it wouldn't be longer because of the aforementioned supply chain issues. In spite of this, we decided to order a sofa. Nancy checked in with us every few months to update us on our order. The upholstery we had ordered was back-ordered for months, so the sofa wasn't actually delivered until mid-December 2021, but it was worth the wait. We appreciated that Nancy stayed in touch with us and contacted us immediately to schedule delivery when the couch was ready. We also ordered a fancy desk chair for my husband when we bought the couch. Because Circle had it in their warehouse, we received it within two weeks of placing our order. Circle completed all the assembly and the delivery was prompt and without a hitch. Both items are comfortable and durable. The ultrasuede upholstery is soft but also sturdy. I can sit without straining my knees and hips because my feet touch the floor and my back is supported by the cushions. (This was decidedly not the case with our previous couch.) Yet there is still sufficient space on the seat to curl my legs up and lean on the arm of the sofa while I read. My husband's back pain has receded now that he is sitting in a properly adjusted desk chair. Our money was well-spent on these items. 5/5 would shop here again. read more

Now I'm asked if I want to cancel the order. No. What I'd like is for Circle to figure an alternative six months after taking my money. Update: Manager called and offered an alternative. I just bought my first "real-person bed" at Circle Furniture (sorry, Ikea, it was good while it lasted!) and am so happy with my experience from showroom to delivery. They sell unique and timeless furniture that is handcrafted in New England. The quality is reflected in the price, but fairly. The show room is lovely and the associate, Anita, who showed us around was well-informed but not pushy, which I appreciated. She gave us our space when we wanted it and was attentive when we needed advice and answers to questions. There was a six week period between purchasing the bed and having it delivered, which isn't ideal of course, but comes with the hand-crafted territory. When it was delivered, the delivery guys were as nice as could be, were patient with my narrow driveway and 4th floor door, and assembled the bed efficiently. Circle Furniture is a winner! Our sales representative, Nancy Tracy, and the store manager, Georgiana (didn't get her last name), were great, especially when our purchase got complicated as, after delivery, we realized that we had chosen a dresser that was too small for us. They were incredibly patient and kind as we figured things out and arranged a swap. We love our Shaker furniture (a larger dresser, headboard, and two nightstands): It is beautiful and so well crafted. I'm yelping now to recognize two people who went above and beyond and also because I want to recognize the value of a real store as compared to online shopping. We've bought a fair amount of furniture from Circle over the years, and we've always had good experiences; not so for the few times we have purchased online. Great place, bought a bed for 2300 bucks, cherry, solid, it's very nice and solid cherry. Great customer service, very friendly. The mattress is now 4 years old and has collapsed, I am certain they will have great customer service on that as well. Obviously they didn't make the mattress, and I am contacting them directly to help with it because they were so great about the bed. Great customer service and high quality furniture. We bought an Ekornes Stressless recliner from Circle Furniture a few years ago. The salesperson we worked with was great, not pushy at all, answered the questions we had, and let us be as we sat in every single recliner. The recliner itself is so comfortable and looks great as well. We were so happy with our experience that we returned recently when we needed to replace our 30 year old couch with a sleeper sofa. We ended up buying an American Leather sleeper sofa from them and our parents have raved about how comfortable it is to sleep on. Once again, the sales staff was great and very patient as we made many trips to the store without purchasing anything, just picking up swatches, since we were having trouble deciding on the color we wanted. Would definitely come here again if we are in the market for more furniture. read more

Ever been in a store and seen that one A-hole customer who can't make up their mind on what they want??? Well, I was that A-hole 2 weeks ago. Much to my own surprise because I had been pretty sure what I wanted before entering the store. But the selection in-store was so good that I kept changing my mind. I must have been an hour in there! Now, if I was the store employee, I would have said to me "OK, lady. There's only so many different shades of cream fabric swatches you can look at. Make up your damn mind!" But instead she was so patient and helpful and insisted that I take my time - pulling out a seat for me to use while I browsed. I felt calm and like I was sitting in my own kitchen touching several fabrics instead of feeling rushed to make a decision. The treatment by the staff alone, will have me coming back here. In case you read the review that someone else posted saying something like "can get better prices elsewhere if you shop around," we were there today and were given price match based upon other prices elsewhere. Prices are pretty comparable to Crate & Barrel; in one case Circle's piece of furniture was cheaper than C&B's, and in another case a piece was more expensive, but they said they'd match the price. Not bad! Also, they seemed to have a good collection of modern and more traditional pieces that can be done in any number of different fabrics/leathers. Weren't hounded by salespeople, which is always nice. Seems like a good place to get furniture. read more

I had never purchased custom furniture. We had just remodeled our home and were looking for new furniture for our master bedroom and living and dining rooms. I was already overwhelmed after looking through so many store catalogs and the chain stores in my neighborhood, but I at least had a good sense of what I didn't want. To start, I was impressed with the range of styles available at Circle. The several staff we worked with were all expertly helpful -- they helped us divide and conquer, worked with our tastes, and helped us stay within our budget. After several draining hours of arguing with my partner to hone in on our pieces, it was time to decide on fabrics. Peggy Burns worked with our paint samples and floorplan and we found some truly unique fabrics that fit our personality in no time. In the end, we purchased a full dining room set with custom-fabric chairs and a buffet, a sectional and a lounge chair for the living room, a bench for our entry way, and a master bed and nightstands for the master bedroom. I never thought that I'd end up with such a nice set of furniture. Circle's furniture and fabric options -- and its staff's on-target guidance -- made all the difference. read more

Recently my wife and I felt like it was time to upgrade our furniture from the set we purchased 5 years ago from when we moved into our first place to something more contemporary. Back then, we needed something to sit on and weren't worried about how it would look in the room or how long it would last. Now that we are 'real adults' (mid 30's), we thought it was about time to buy furniture that matched our home and would last for years to come. When we visited CF it was great. I had the typical furniture shopping fear that a sales person would jump on me the second I entered the store. Not so during my visit to CF! The staff only asked me if I needed help after I had been browsing for a few minutes. From there everything was wonderful. The salesperson not only helped me pick out the right couch with custom fabric but helped me plan and envision the entire room. Now we have a new sleeper sofa and love seat arriving for the living room. We also purchased a gorgeous hardwood dining room table that I can picture passing on to my son as an heirloom 20 years from now. I would highly recommend Circle Furniture to anyone who would like to have a different furniture shopping experience. We shopped around extensively for a new sectional. We looked at all price points at a range of stores. Initially we dismissed Circle as it is on the higher end in terms of price. Ultimately, we decided to revisit Circle as we loved the design and quality. This evening as we were finalizing the purchase the Manager, Georgianna, was incredibly patient and stayed nearly an hour after close with us. She was extremely knowledgeable, kind and developed a real rapport with us. I so appreciated her going above and beyond and we are very happy with our decision, in the end. As a previous reviewer mentioned, it is a store where people want to sell you furniture, but if you can just accept that the sales people are more on the involved side, I would really recommend looking at Circle to invest in quality furniture. After-sales service went above and beyond. I got some made-in-Vermont bedroom furniture here back in the late 1990s. Some of the bed hardware fell apart in 2010 (there was some good sturdy work in the bed, but also a few weak connector points due to the desire to make it easy to assemble/disassemble). Circle Furniture came over and took the pieces back to their own workshop for repair since the original furniture maker had retired. read more

In the recent past I was in the market for a Tempurpedic mattress. I looked at most if not all the "big" stores in the area and for some reason, I was kind of off put from the mass oriented feel. A mattress is a pretty big purchase for me so I decided to keep looking. Since I commute past a Circle Furniture in Cambridge and decided to check them out. Not only was I greeted by pleasant staff but the whole experience had a much more personal feel than the other places I was looking. I was relieved to see that they carried the Tempurpedic. All aspects of the purchase were effortless and the mattress was delivered before the estimated delivery date. I will be heading back soon for several reasons: friendly staff, really cool designs, and since I was informed that Circle is a Boston company, it supports a local business. read more

I have been extremely pleased with a high quality wooden bunk bed set from Circle. My kids got several years of use from it, without any issues. Years later, I donated it to a young family (through craigslist) with children sleeping on the floor. They were very thankful when I helped them set it up. Well, after 3 years, the seat cushions of my sectional just fell apart. So the adage that you get what you pay for is still true, but apparently you have to pay A LOT more to get quality (think custom made). Anyway, the good news is that I called Circle Furniture and spoke to Lisa, the service supervisor who couldn't have been nicer and more helpful. She called the manufacturer who agreed to replace the cushions. Lisa was probably the best customer service person I have EVER dealt with. She's at the mercy of the manufacturer in terms of what they're willing to do, but she gave me advice on how to navigate through the situation and has done everything she can to make things right. I hope Circle Furniture knows what a great employee they have in her. The only reason I'm dropping my rating one star is because of the poor quality of the product - I expect better than that from Circle Furniture. But I would absolutely shop there again, because I know they understand customer service, which is difficult to find in a retailer these days (see my review of Jordan's as an example). read more

So this is my first review here on yelp, after taking advantage of all the other good advice around, it feels time to finally post something. Recently, I started shopping for a new TV stand for my plasma. The temporary Ikea stand was finally buckling, I needed something that would last and be of really high quality. I shopped around via the internet and found exactly what I was looking for and Circle had it. When I went to the Danvers showroom Ann was really helpful and knew what she was talking about. The price was competitive to what I had seen out there, so I purchased from Circle. The whole experience was really easy and totally stress free. I've purchased several things at Circle Furniture over the years. I'm writing today to give them kudos for great customer service. I had bought an Ekornes recliner from them a couple of years ago, and recently I broke a part on it (there's a little swing table optional accessory, and a plastic connector piece broke on it when too much weight was placed on it). Anyway, it was out of warranty, and I don't think this would have been covered anyway, but I emailed them to see if they might have a damaged swing table I could buy and take this broken part off of, or if they could order the part for me (I wasn't too optimistic about either option). Note: this accessory is like $200 new, and maybe $100 on eBay, so I was bumming at the thought of spending that much when all I needed was the 50 cent plastic connector. Sarah Cooney from Circle Furniture got back to me quickly, and offered to send me the part at no charge (!), including a special little tool needed to reassemble things. By the next day, the part and the tool arrived in the mail, and now I'm back in business! I'm a happy camper. read more
