Came for breakfast this time. Amazing tacos!! Omelet was out of this world. Went in hungry, came out stuffed!! The wait staff are fabulous and you can tell lots of repeat customers come. Everyone seems to know everyone else. It is a great little get away for a meal place? I love the vibe. Nice, home cooking, very relaxed. Walk in, seat yourself and then someone comes over and brings the menu and utensils. You order your drink right away. If you are passing through Poth looking for a place to eat continue on to Floresville! Circle g's parking lot is always full of cars. It's 1 of 2 sit down restaurants in town and depending on who you ask one might be marginally better than the other. The other restaurant has minimal operating hours. Take out orders are consistently wrong from this restaurant. I wish it was just my once in a while experience but I hear the same from other people as well. If you do choose to dine or order from this restaurant the Carne guisada is pretty good and their homemade hamburgers are juicy. Breakfast tacos are also a safe bet. But if you are ordering potatoes in your taco I would recommend thinking otherwise. They are often under cooked and a little crisp. read more

Stopped in for lunch , the food is not good , got a chicken quesadilla and specifically asked for no onion or bell pepper in the quesadilla , they put a ton of bell peppers and onions . The quesadilla tortilla appeared soggy the fountain drinks had a weird chemical taste to it ! When I brought this up to the waitress she did not seem to even care ! Honestly not only is the service dog shit, if you call in a order I promise you they will not only forget a taco or two they will also give you as little in the taco as possible. And if you wanna sit inside to eat. Beware of funky tasting water. Dirty ass spoons and watch out for the lazy ass waitress. We're from out of town we stopped, because this place was highly recommended. The food was absolutely fabulous. The service, though was terrible. They didn't keep track of who came in people that came in after us were waited on, and got their food before they even took our order! There were even people who came out of the kitchen with food plates that came in after us, and sat down and ate again before we ever had our food. I've stopped in to Circle G a handful of times on the way to Kenedy. Normally the Hispanic lady with a single tattoo sleeve is working the register and does a great job. Nice, cashing customers out, taking phone orders and in-person to-go orders. However on 5/23/19 the complete opposite experience. There was a large lady working the register and the experience was the complete opposite than usual. The "greeting" was more of a short acknowledgement that turned into a blow-off so that the phone can be answered. I give my order and then have to wait for an issue to be troubleshot because apparently the register was set to refund. My order was called out but didn't sound right. I recited my order, which matched the written order sheet but was told i was short 1 item. So my request matches the order sheet but am being told that's not the actual order. Didn't know how to approach that one. To add more confusion I was told, "That's what you told me," while pointing at the order sheet. The food was surprisingly greasy as well. Another first. Even my coworkers had commented on how untraditional the quality is, when compared to their previous experiences with Circle G. I'll probably give Circle G another shot, but only because the positive visits currently outweigh this really bad one. read more

Spent a week traveling with work friends in the South Texas area. Each morning someone had to pick up tacos for breakfast from their favorite Taqueria, Monday was my day, the next two were picked up by my coworkers, Wednesday night the group asked that I pick up for the rest of the week because they were so much better than everyone else's taqueria. No Accountability.... I visit Circle G very often, in fact 4 out of 6 meals I have while in the area working I have at this location. The other day I had a HM Cheeseburger and home cut fries. The meat was awful tasting and I didn't eat all of it but did eat the fries. This sort of confused me cause normally everything is good. So when paying my meal ticket at the register the young woman asked how was my meal. I replied the burger sucked. Her reply was "sorry" (nothing more like what was wrong etc.) and then started punching the cost on the register and told me the cost. I asked "Your charging me for the burger?", "Yes I have to". I replied "Really?". "Yes I have to charge", I asked "Is the manager around?", "Nope not here", "Is there a manager to call/", "Nope he doesn't want us to call". Now I not complaining about the fact of 8 dollars, but the fact that I was treated as just a person with money and no matter what they served you are going to pay. The customer's satisfaction is not important. If you are going to run a business and you ask "How was your meal?" do expect someone to tell the truth. If your not going to like the reply, then don't ask. I really didn't want to write this review, but the matter in which they handled my concern lead me to go ahead and provide to the public. Friend has family in Poth and some times when we're in Floresville we run here for breakfast. Well the super taco specifically. You walk in and sit at an open table. We are always greeted promptly. Drink order and food order taken if ready. The servings are pretty hefty and taste great. It's a old school look on the inside and they expanded for more seating. Give it a try read more

My family hunts down in Poth, and let me just say, the town is relatively quaint. That is essentially a nice way of saying "there ain't a whole lot going on." In the way of restaurants, I believe there are 3 of which to speak. Luckily, one of them is Circle G. If we don't cook ourselves out on the lease, we can be found at the Circle G. The food is better than you'd expect from a casual little hole-in-the-wall in a town of 1500. They usually feature a daily special, and I usually order it. Whether it's burgers, steaks, Enchiladas, tacos, chicken fried steaks, (I am a little leery of Seafood in the middle of the boondocks) -- just go ahead and take the plunge. The prices are just so insanely cheap. They brand themselves as Mexican food, and they certainly have it, but it's pretty much all-encompassing. Don't expect anything nicer than a small-town diner and you'll be thoroughly accommodated. read more

Ordered the beef fajita plate. The beef was so tough I couldn't eat it in a tortilla, rice was dry and a little hard and the beans were plain pinto beans. I will say the tortillas were pretty good. I left about 3/4 of the food on my plate because it wasn't even worthy of taking with me. read more

The salsa could be improved (tasted like they used canned tomatoes, and it wasn't very spicy), but no complaints on the rest of the meal.
