The hubby picked this place,, and after reading the reviews I was nervous about what we would find. Driving by the tennis courts which were overgrown with weeds pretty much sealed the deal. But hear me out, the place does have some value. The good stuff: 1. This place is central to everything! 20 minutes to multiple reservoirs. 2. The place was clean and complex quiet. 3. They provide dish soap, laundry soap, trash bags etc. 4. Full size washer and dryer 5. Garage big enough for our large truck with campershell. 6. Towels galore. They don't do a midweek cleaning and towel swap, but we had plenty of towels for 3 people. 7. Super friendly staff. The not so good: 1. No central air, and it was 95 during the day. They did have a portable room air-conditioner in the top floor master. We had our kid sleep upstairs with us in the AC. Kinda killed the vacation romance though. 2. Wasps were intent on getting in to the unit. There may be a nest inside the roof on the balcony. 3. The balcony is in need of some TLC, tracked in paint chips every time we went in/out. 4. Screen and slider were difficult to secure (2nd reason we had our kid sleep in the master with us) which resulted in a room full of moths and mosquitoes the first night. Things that were annoying but wouldn't deter me from staying here: 1. Two of the kitchen cabinets won't stay shut. After hitting my head on one we used spoons to keep them shut. 2. Pulled two wine glasses out of the cabinet, one was cracked and one had a glob of yellow sticky stuff. Pulled a third cracked glass. We ended up washing all the dishes before we used them. Front desk swapped out new glasses immediately. 3. No remote for garage. But its ok, our kid has legs and the ability to use keys. 4. Cable box in master wasn't working. However front office sent someone same day to fix it. We didn't use any of the facilities, and spent every day out in the national forest or on a reservoir. For us, while dated, the unit provided a comfortable home base and soft bed to sleep in while social distancing during Covid. The full kitchen meant we did not have to eat out and risk exposure. The resort is disgustingly outdated; we would NEVER spend money to stay in a hotel in this condition. The pool area was completely unsafe with broken tiles all around. The idea of painting kitchen counters is completely unacceptable. The carpeting is absolutely disgusting. You should be ashamed of yourselves renting time shares that people pay maintenance fees to be maintained. read more

This review has been a long time coming. I am a little embarrassed to have waited this long to write a review here, but better late than never, right? First of all this is a condo timeshare unit. If you are expecting regular hotel amenities, they do have some, but not all of them. They also have some fabulous extras. I'll start with the drawbacks. The units are a little older. They have some weird countertop mod podge (if you've never used mod podge please do yourself a favor and google it....the crafting possibilities are endless). Some people are all about aesthetics, but I am about functionality and while the counters aren't the prettiest, they are fully functional. The overall aesthetics are a little dated, but I really don't care about that as long as I have what I need. Out of the three units we've stayed in we did have problems with water in the showers vacillating between hot and cold throughout the shower in one of the units. They could use some mixing valves or some scald free faucets installed. If you are older or disabled these units are all three stories with long flights of stairs up and down. this could be difficult for someone with health issues (or little babies, so bring a gate or two if needed). The pool is an outdoor heated pool and is very clean, but it could really use some work both inside and in the pool area itself. The pool and surround could be incredibly nice with work ( I know the condo board probably votes on how to spend the yearly maintenance money, and a place like this can't be cheap to keep up, though). The tennis courts need a little TLC too. The good things here are really great. This is in a beautiful, quiet residential neighborhood. Every unit has a single car garage (awesome for Park City winters) and a washer and dryer, which is unbeatable for me. Washing soap is supplied. The view from the decks is awesome. You can see the ski/sledding slopes as well as beautiful mountain and alpine views. There is also a lot of wildlife. The units are spacious and clean. They have three units types, as mentioned. One sleeps 6 and the other two sleep 8. My favorite unit type is a three story with laundry in the garage, a main floor two twin bed bedroom, (this is also where the kitchen and living room are) and a top floor master with a bunk bed loft next to it. The layout is open and gave us both room in the bedrooms and common area. My next favorite is a layout with an entry way laundry next to the garage (vs. in the garage), main floor two twin bed bedroom, and top floor master suite with garden tub. The shower in the master bathroom of this unit is really dark and the floors aren't upgraded, but still functioned for our needs. Some kids slept on the sofa since this unit doesn't have bunk beds. My least favorite of the units are the units with balconies vs. garages facing the clubhouse. They do have two balconies vs. one, but the master is on the bottom floor along with the bunks, one bedroom and bathroom is on the top floor and the kitchen and living room are on the middle. These have a pretty tight kitchen and living room since the space is really split between three floors and not two. They only have a stackable washer and dryer as well, which is next to the bunk beds. While still great it was just less functional for our needs. The last fabulous thing about this place is the staff. They have bent over backwards to accommodate us every time we have stayed here and been so flexible when we have had special needs. From the cleaning crew, to the front office crew, to the management, we are treated exceptionally and that goes really far in my book. We would stay here again, literally any time! read more

When you come to Park City, you would expect hotels to be nice and have many good features and clean, this hotel had a lot of good and bad in it. The exterior of the hotel is really nice but the interior is kind of depressing for Park city, there is also no drinking water system, so all the water is just tap water.the bathrooms are really small and the soap is way too small. The clubhouse itself is nice but the tennis court is really old and beat up to the point we're it is just you can't play on it. However, the balcony is a nice place but the wood is beat up. This is too low for Park city but has the potential to be great, please improve! read more

This condo had a lot of space for our family of 4. 2 twin beds in one bedroom. The top floor master had a set of bunk beds on a landing outside the bedroom door. It has 2 flights of steps and 3 levels, but my kids had no problems. I would stay here again. Nice neighborhood for walking. The pool area could use updating, but my kids enjoyed it. Our towels were newer and the condo was clean. No central AC, but the temperatures dropped into the 50's at night so we opened windows. read more

Everything was great here after the first 24 hours. We couldn't get into our unit until several hours after the 4 p.m. check in time. After traveling all day, we were exhausted, tired, hungry, etc. and then to have the front desk guy act like this was no big deal was extremely upsetting. When we were finally given a key and made our way to the condo, the cleaning "family" a man, woman and their three kids were just beginning to clean. Unbelievable! We couldn't even unpack, as they had all their cleaning supplies, vacuum, mops, everywhere. This was totally unacceptable. Our unit had a humongous master bedroom with a gigantic master bath and jacuzzi tub. The second bedroom had two twin beds and we had a sofa sleeper with NO linens or pillows. When we called down to the front desk, they were gone for the night so our guests had to borrow sheets and pillows from the other beds, and there were no extras. There were also NO trash bags in the condo. The next morning I put in a phone call and they did deliver more bed linen and trash bags. The upstairs master bath was huge with double sinks and lots of cabinet drawers and a large jacuzzi tub, which didn't look too clean so we avoided it. The shower was dark but since it never ran out of hot water I didn't really care. There is no door offering privacy to the toilet, so basically anyone in the bathroom AND master bedroom can hear you in there. The "gym" consisted of some 1970's equipment (I'm not exaggerating) but the pool and Jacuzzi were nice. It was freezing, with temps in the teens the entire week, but the pool was heated and warm and the Jacuzzi was hot every night. We met lots of great people out there each night after long days of skiing. A sauna was located out in the pool area, and there are showers and locker rooms provided. Upstairs in the lobby area is a game room with video games and a pool table. Aside from the big negative of check in day, there were many positives: the kitchen was very well equipped with nice cookware and plenty of utensils, crock-pot, blender, cookie sheets, etc. The garage and driveway easily accommodated our 2 cars and we probably could have squeezed a 3rd vehicle on the driveway if needed. The washer/dryer came with soap which was very convenient, and the living room had a nice DVD player and stereo. The couches in the living room looked new and were of much higher quality than what I'm used to in timeshares. Circle J Club is really not located in Park City. It's about a 10 minute drive to downtown, but we go there a lot and were well aware of this. We drove to Deer Valley every morning and it was no big deal at all. I would not recommend this resort if you're relying on public transportation, but if you have your own vehicle, it's a short drive to Salt Lake City (15-20 min) and a ten minute drive to Park City. There is also a WalMart and Smith's grocery store within a 5 minute drive. read more

My family arranged to stay at Circle J the first week of January, and two days before we were to arrive my husband called the office to let them know we would be arriving very late because we were driving in from out of state. He was assured by the young man who took the call that we could come late and they would check us in the next morning. We pulled in to the parking lot a little after midnight only to find the office locked up tight. My husband knocked on the door and walked around the building but no one was around and there was no information on the door listing security or an emergency number. We called RCI who we had booked through, and the operator was able to give us our unit number, but couldn't reach anyone at the resort either. We checked the door on our unit, but it was locked also. This was all in the snow with a temperature of 18 degrees. We finally gave up and found the nearest Best Western Motel. The next day when we checked in the manager told my husband there was no record of his phone call informing them that we would arrive late, so we received no apology at all, and he somewhat implied that my husband was making it up. (As an aside, the driveway to our unit was not shoveled, so we had to spend a half hour clearing it before we could even pull in and unload.) Later that day we received a phone call from the young man my husband had spoken with prior to the trip, Uriel, and he said there had been a "miscommunication" and that normally they left the units open if someone was going to arrive late. And that was the last we heard from them. Our stay there was fine, and the unit was nice enough, although some of the trappings were pretty dated, especially the "workout room" and rec center. Afterwards we contacted both RCI and Circle J, explained politely what had transpired, and requested that they reimburse us for the hotel stay. RCI basically pawned it off on Circle J, and Circle J didn't even have the courtesy to reply - never an apology, and we are pretty sure we wont ever regain the money we lost. As a result we will not be renewing our membership with RCI as it seems they don't stand behind their customers, and we DEFINITELY wont be staying at Circle J again. Their customer service is extremely poor. We've stayed at quite a few out of state RCI locations, and on at least four occasions we arrived in the wee hours of the morning. Each time they either had someone at the desk to help us, or they had a phone number for a security person who admitted us to our unit. All it would have taken at Circle J was a sign on the office door with an emergency number, or at the very least, a kind word from the manager after the fact.
